Maybe the R10 is not worth the money, 4000.00 is a LOT of money, IMO, but one thing is sure, according to Nik, Hirsch, Mark, and a lot of trusty guys here, is in fact the BEST DYNAMIC HEADPHONE EVER MADE and period, if you want it, pay it, if not, you will never have THE BEST DYNAMIC HEADPHONE, you could get an Omega IV, VIII if you want, an UltraOrpheus, etc...and you will have the best electrostatic, maybe, but you will never have THE BEST DYNAMIC HEADPHONE.....period.

So you don't think they sound too bright now? Did they sound too bright with your old amps?

Coz I thought they sounded way too bright when powered from the ASL Twin Head (old version but tuned for the R10 by Joe Lau), much brighter than my ety ER4P, which themselves are not on the dark side of neutral, either. Right?
