Does the tuner adapter work w/the Classics? I thought it only was compatable w/the older gens.

Yes, the software for that is already built-in. It just needs the hardware.

^ np, if commercial radio didn't stink, who knows.. It might have been included.

The only one worth listening to around here IMO is freeform WFMU 91.1.

There is a whole host of warranty issues. They will ask you to ship it to the USA, and i am still not sure if the problems that were there with the first gen have been solved.

Looks tempting, but 35 pounds? I dont think there is an aftermarket version. Is there?

Well I went for it. Bought 160gb for $200. Not sealed but has invisible shield applied since the first day. I want to grab one of these before they run out. It's going to be a year or so before apple updates to a bigger capacity. And even then, jobs might not even do it.

Just make sure it's compatible.

And this one from Griffin, looks weird though.

Griffin Technology: iFM

Should check for reviews, it could be flakey.

thanks, looking at amazon there is a 3 quid version. my reasoning, what is the worst that could happen?
so getting that, and a gelaskin. i dont really want a case, as it will be too bulky, and this should be enough.
unless that is someone can show me a thin leather case on amazon uk. i couldnt find one, and i am thankful for that (wallet =

). in total should be around 195 pounds for 120gb+gelaskin+remote/radio thing.

I've decided to go w/the Touch as the extra's + screen size for vids is SO much better. Getting it on the 16th. Too bad the only way to listen to radio on it is w/internet. Still, a few games and a movie later and I'll be alright. Once again, thanks dvessel. Love the help ya' get on this site - now I see why it's held up for so long (and will continue to do so).

first thing i did after the announcement was to get a refurb 160gb. Kinda sad that the price dropped further in just one week and i kinda lost US$30 cos i bought it one week earlier.

Bringing my whole library around is important to me... its also a great way to show other people what music you listen to when i talk with people about music.

However madness hit me just a second ago and i ordered the refurb 1st gen 32gb ipod touch too. Its big enough to fit my most listened to playlist (around 18gb, so i could fit some videos on it too), and i'll be using its bells and whistles (organizer/calendar/memo functions, wifi web browser etc).

Its going for US$120 cheaper than the 2nd gen ipod touch (in my country), i just couldnt pass up on such a good deal. The only disadvantages of the 1st gen compared to getting a new one are the shorter battery life and the nike thingy which i will never use, and the very slightly smaller size. battery wise 22 hours is still more than enough. and seriously the 1st gen ipod touch is already too thin for comfort. Amazing deal if u ask me...

It's disappointing, I was about to buy a 160 because my 80gb is full, then they stopped it. I think my next mp3 player will be the 120 gb Zune now. I always liked them better, they just didn't have the capacity. Now its the best capacity I can get.
