I must say - I am very tempted to get a pair of these, especially if they are going to look like the 12's.

Any more comparisons to the HE90/HE60?

Tough to tell by the pictures how they would look in real life.
Should be interesting to see when someone gets these.

I really like the look of the 1.2b. Finally this looks like a finished commercial product and not a prototype.

I'm very sorely tempted. Still have to decide between this, the O2, and the 4070.

There is a 30 day no questions asked return policy, right? That would probably seal the bargain, as I would love to try these headphones out firsthand.

I listened to all four including the HE-60 at the meet on Saturday and rank them :
-Orpheus
-He 1.2
-4070
-HE-60
-O2 (new version)

The new O2's are heavier, more clamping and quite dark.

That's pretty high praise considering the price of the Orpheus. I still like the look of the 1.3, odd as that may sound to most, but the impressions of these are fairly impressive so far.

to be honest, the 1.2 and 1.3 sound very, very similar, with the former having a general overall smoother and slightly more refined sound. i bet the grills are the cause for the difference. but i can't imagine someone saying the 1.2 is great and the 1.3 is very bad. they are for all general purposes the same headphone.

My main complaint for 4070 is its super brightness, the second is the weak bass. I guess STAX tried to compensate O2's darkness but went too far.
