Got the Audio Technica AD2000

Wow, talk about a complete 360!

The first six pages started off a love fest; the last three not so much. And, to top it off, the new hot dame is an HD 600 with a new cable!? Wow!

I'm interested in both of the aforementioned headphones, but I do not want to own both--there can be only one AD2000 or HD 600. They will hold me over til my HD 800 arrives.

Then, my love fest will begin, hopefully!

I did like them a lot didn't I. But like all headphones with any imperfections, those colorations get old. If I find a can where nothing in its sound gets old... I will not be hanging around here as much thats for sure. Im hoping the ps1000 or the hd800 is this answer I need for my cravings. I also wish my wallet were fatter.

I must say that I have my doubts. I have heared quite some expensive stuff meanwhile, and all were just ordinary headphones with strengths and weaknesses you could like or dislike. I do not expect these two to deliver spectacular new patterns, although they will be (of course) raved as the biggest thing since the invention of fire.

Guess I'll test the HD800 in a month or so, my buddy suffers from the usual "can't wait sickness".

Coloration issues are always easy to solve... it's a pity that you did not get the hear the AD2000 out of a neutral amp like the B22, I am sure your opinions of them will change.

Dont think any amp could change the overall sound since I did plug them in a few and found differences in the amps sonics listening through them but never got rid of their faults. The Headband/earpad mods might have worked for me though but I didnt want to risk any modifications on expensive cans like these.
