I've posted this in the audio section of some tech forums I am a member of, but I am yet to find a pair of headphones that meet my criteria:

I'm going to las vegas soon.

Which is going to involve me sitting at a poker table for 20+ hours.
I hate my earbuds and want a pair of good headphones to use while sitting at the table.

Here are the requirements:
1.) Around the $50 mark would be nice.
2.) Cord must be short enough to use with an MP3 player(willing to pay slightly more if they are good headphones that have a short cord+extension so i can use them for PC gaming too).
3.) Must be around the ear(cicrumaural) headphones. I have a sennheiser headset currently that is of the "sit on ear" type and I don't like it.
4.) Since I will be wearing them in public I'd prefer they didnt look ridiculous(like the icemat syberians I have).

Other than that...not really anything other than i don't want anything that I have to keep batteries in(so noise cancelling is out).

I really appreciate it if you are able to help, as my search has pretty much come up empty.

Only thing I have found even close is the bose "around the ear"s which are $140. Since I will be rarely using these I'd prefer to keep the price as low as possible.

I figured this was the place to come with such a specific question about headphones.

Your requirements are hard to meet at the $50 range, especially the goofy factor, most are going to be huge and goofy looking in public.
Why do you not like your ear bud do they sound bad? Cause if its the SQ you don't like then you should really get the pk2 ear buds for $70, they are highly reguarded and have been reviewed as having full can sized SQ and soundstage. Plus, you won't be completely isolated from the poker tables, and they won't look goofy, or be heavy on your head. Your other options are IEMs, super fi 3, for $50 at radio shack, or altec lansing im716 for $50 at buy.com.
