"The Impossible" [8.7/10]: Considering that this film was based on a true story, the title is very appropriate. A family on vacation finds itself involved in a battle for survival as a result of one of the greatest tragedies in history. Definitely an emotionally engaging film. I didn't really expect much from it going in, but it turned out to be a good movie. I cared about the characters. I wanted things to turn out well for them. Recommended...

I found this movie too straightforward. They pressed too hard on people's sensibilities.

If it weren't a true story I might agree...

I giggled when I saw this photograph from the movie To the Wonder ( 2012).

I recently watched The Councelor ( 2013) where Javier Bardem played a pea-cockish drug dealer.

After a number of obnoxious roles he looks hilariously natural as a Catholic priest.

This was a must see for me, as it had three of my favorite actors of all time - Alan Arkin, Christopher Walken, and Al Pacino. Although the story itself wasn't anything special, seeing these three guys on screen together was a real treat, especially now that they're in their latter years. I had a blast with it...

"Stand-up Guys" - 8.3/10

I saw this too just the other day.

Good movie. The longer I watch a movie with Al Pacino in it the more believable it becomes, until many times it just feels real. The best actor ever for me.

9/10
... just go watch it!

Okay, you talked me into it. Interesting that this was one was reviewed by Roger Ebert, cause I only found four reviews on it. The horrible acting is a bit distracting at times, but overall I enjoyed it quite a bit. Zoe was a perfect example of they type of girl who would not be considered traditionally "hot", but you can't help but fall in love with her.

xD I didn't mind the acting honestly... it felt more like a documentary than a movie imo. And yea Zoe is very much "hot" it's ok your allowed to say it!

White house down 1/10. It managed to be worse then Olympus has fallen. Didn´t thought it was possible. One reason it is worse is that it has child actors that have impossible lines and behave like no kid ever would. Yuk. And it´s so obvious none of the actors care for a dime they are just there for a simple pay check with tired jokes and cliche roles. Yuk!
