I think this list is right on target. Tyll also belongs in the nominee group. He went way beyond the call of duty and spent countless hours helping Aaron with the national meet. Major props are due for his/Headroom's cotinued support of Head-Fi in many ways!
In addition to Jude's normal leadership role in the administration of the entire site, he made some especially noteworthy contributions this year in terms of the significant technological upgrades that were implimented. It takes more than just vision, it also takes a lot of time, effort, and money to make these things happen.
As for the money part of "making things happen" for the site, many thanks are due to John Grado and Todd the Vinyl Junkie, and to Jan Meier, for their HF-1 and Head Five initiatives, respectively. As Jude has acknowledged here:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=209149, without these thoughtful and generous contributions, Head-Fi would not be nearly as future-proof, and would also be much slower!
What Afrikane did with his giveaways in 2006, which came compeletly out of the blue to everyone, was just amazing! Enough said.
But ya, Aaron gets my vote! Not just for all of his time and effort in putting together the national meet, but for his
mere willingness to do so to begin with. Essentially, he had a great idea, and had the courage to immediately start a thread about it without first thinking, "No, wait a minute, this is going to mess up my life for several months!" So thanks for hitting the "Submit New Thread" button and then sticking with it through the thick and thin. Things like this only have to happen once, and then everything is set in motion for years to come!
