Who knows. Only future will tell. But people who has been cheated here already know his/her address, no? I doubt it would be too hard to find him/her if needed.

Her boyfriend wouldn't happen to be Lex Luthor, perhaps?

'Cause only then would this make any kind of sense.

I'm sitting back and reading everyone's comments and I am amazed at the 2 extremes that this group is taking. How can anyone say that someone is lying unless they know for sure with their own eyes that it is true.

It appears that the people who say that "Catwoman is lying", enjoy sitting in their computer chairs and comment about other people's whys and wherefores for there own special reasons (unbeknownst to others),
and there are others who say "give her the benefit of the doubt",
and they are the good hearted people who make this world (and Head-Fi) a better place.

Only one person knows the truth in this situation (Catwoman), and even the people who have been personally affected by this are taking a "wait and see" approach.

Some people just like to slow down on the other side of the highway to fully view the accident, which is the cause of a lot of traffic, and other people say in their heads, "I hope everyone is OK" and I won't slow down to look because I don't want to cause more traffic!

It's so much easier to be nice than confrontive, and this is a forum about audio and not sex, lies and videotape.

As a moderator, I have had to pursue people who have scammed others, and sometimes it is a mistake and sometimes it's not. But who am I to say "it's not" until it is proven that it's not.

Let's go back to talking about audio, and if it turns out that this was a scam, then the posts and stickies that we the moderators have formed about "making sure that someone has good positive feedback" before making a transaction with them, should have been taken under advisement more seriously.

We don't want to become another E-Bay, do we? [/end of rant]

Peace out.

So to be suspicious of Catwoman's story equates with not being a good-hearted person? Absolutely wrong. I hope for the sake of the other Head-Fiers involved she's telling the truth, but the proof will be in the pudding. If her story sounds fishy to me, this doesn't make me a bad person.

No, of course not. Everyone has some suspicions. But to vocalize it in the thread, without knowing all of the facts, can be construed as the act of a pessimistic person IMHO.

There are some members here that troll the site looking for negative threads to pounce on and that is the action of not being a good-hearted person (not saying that anyone here is doing that now, but it is common). My main comment was that people here are in two completely opposite camps. Nothing I said should be taken personally. Just an observation.
The train wreck theory.

Dont trust "her".

"She" is the same person as echnaton from this forum. I know it because I dealt with him some month ago and I sent an amp to the same adress. I also got that guy on phone, so I can confirm that "it" is a he!

I sold a porta corda to him. In the end I got my money, but it took several weeks to get it. He contacted me and asked me if I could sent him the amp so that he could test it, if he would not like it he would sent it back, otherwise he would pay the agreed price. I insisted that he has to pay a part of the amount as an insurance, which he did.
I sent him the amp and he confirmed the receipt. One week later he phoned me and told me that the amp is not what he thought it would be and that he expected that there was a power supply included in the package. He would only keep it for a lowered price. I was silly enough to agree, but at that point I just wanted to finish that damn transaction.

Below there is my mail contact with him. Im sorry, its in german and parts of he context are missing cause we had a couple of phone calls in between.
Especially his last mail is extremely funny...

Schönen Tag noch

If this isn't resolved in the next few days, I would suggest everyone who's had fraudulent dealings with this person (if that proves to be the case) contact German authorities with any and all info they have. Name, address, phone, email, etc. Ebay and paypal (if involved) should be notified as well. The more complaints and info they receive, the more likely they will act. Perhaps the German members can forward complaints from non-Germans as well.

@chrisk

His correct name is Tamer ABDEL SHAFI.

Last known address and telephon number, use this service:
http://www.herold.at

Abdel Shafi Tamer,
Erzherzog-Karl-Str 39 Stg 2
1220 Wien
Telephon: 0699 / 11 98 63 30
Telephon: 0043 / 699 / 11 98 63 30

Maybe he lives with a person named Claudia Weidinger together in Kölblgasse 4/17, Wien. We don't know.

We don't know whether she or he has posted in this thread today!

What we know is, that the 'brother Grimm fellow' lies from the moment he/she/it opens the mouth. The police in Austria as in Germany is not interested in helping in such cases. After you report an offense to the police they send the document to the office of the district attorney. That's all. After that they have to answer a summons. And a few month later there will be a legal proceeding.

US victims can report an offense in english language here:

There should be a moderator/admin label under the handle of the person, "BANNED", so that others can beware, much like branded criminals of the past.
