Tony, there is also the DOWIN cable made by Head-Direct, it is pretty inexpensive compared to the others, but I am not sure how they sound compared to the well known Senn cables.

Can I just say: 650s are freeeking incredible!!!! I love watching TV/Movies with these as I did with my 580s (though never again with the 580s!) There's something about their spacious and weighty sound that just envelopes you watching TV. Yes -- as they say - it really puts you "in the movie." Damn straight.

Unless you're able to crank your home theater system late at night...get these!

They'll have to drag you to bed.

I haven't listened to a whole lot of music with them yet, usually that's done in the car or with the portable rig (ER4S)...but as much as I love the Etys and loved my 580s...these phones absolutely positively KICK BUTT.

I may be upgrading sources and stuff in the future...but I KNOW I won't be fussin' with any more full-size headphone upgrades. And that's sayin' something. I'm an impatient "always wanting more" kind of folk!

So glad, I bit the bullet and got the 650s. Buy once and be happy forever folks! They did sound a lot like a refined and corrected 580 at first, which made me a little nervous about spending the dough -- but they've really just gone to another league. So I don't regret it at all.

The bass, the detail, the texture, the comfort, the space, the refinement, the physical look and feel...perfect.

I've had my grado sr80s for 3 years before I got a pair of the hd650s. They arrived last saturday and I haven't even touched my sr80s. I love these cans!

Well I hope the members of this forums are right, since 650's are the only reason to build a balanced b22.

So comfy and i love the new smell they have, keep putting mine back in their original box overnight cause the box is so full of that new smell goodness!

Also, if anyone is after a decent carry bag for their sennheisers, i recommend these:
Headphone bag for sennheiser fullsize headphone - eBay Headphones Earbuds, For iPod, iPod MP3 Accessories, Electronics. (end time 10-Nov-08 13:35:21 AEDST)

got mine today from thailand - quick shipping, and decent, padding and quality for a $13US bag
