1000+ Head-Fier
Absolutely. I adore the pair. Shiraz (650) and Merlot (560).
Absolutely loved your HP tasting Completely agree with you, both Shiraz and 650 being my favs. How about the LCD-2, would they then be Pinot Noir?

Over in Japan and staying at my friends house, just heard a HD-650, HD-700, HD-800 and T1 driven by a Audio GD Master 7 and Eddie Current Balancing Act, all I can say is just WOW, going back to my BH Crack is going to be hard.
Also had some time with his SR-009 / 007Mk2, SRM-007, Woo Audio WES, HE-1000, Ether, HE-560, LCD-X, LCD-3f, LCD-2f, TH-900, Cavalli Liquid Gold, Hugo TT, Rag, Ygg, Auralic Taurus Mk2, Lyr2, Icon Audio HP8 Mk2, and a few other headphones and amps, sorry can't remember what, way too much wine (1992 Insignia, 1984 Opus One, 2004 Scarecrow, 1978 Chateau Latour (when we graduated HS) and last was a 1960 Chateau Lafite Rothschild (when we were both born).
I would just stay there
I would just stay there
Wish I could but my GF likes Hawaii better
One of the keys to the staying power of the 650 simply comes down to tone. There is a natural reproduction of voices and instruments that is really hard to find in other headphones unless you plan to spend exponentially more cash.
If you play an instrument and been around other musicians, you can not help but listen for tone...it's second nature. The 650 never disappoints me in that regard.
Yeah, and it is very comfortable and not at all fatiguing......I can listen to it for hours on end and never have those two issues......I like comfort....lol
