A couple days with the HE-560 (it was used, no need to burn-in), A couple years with the T1 and HE-500.

I decided to have the LCD-2F instead the HE-560 and I'm very happy with this.

Glad you found something you like!

Is there any difference in sound by running the HD 650 in balanced mode?

A bit wider sound-stage and more relax sounding (maybe less punch) in compare to SE on the HiFi-M8, IMO.

I'am thinking of making a balanced cable for the HD 650 as soon as i'am done with my S.E.X. amp.(awaiting for shipping from BH).THANKS!

I love my 650's, but I use them exclusively from my PC for music and gaming (yes I actually do play my MMO's with the in-game music/ambient sound turned on).
Currently using an ASUS Essence STX sound card through a brandy spanking new Schiit Valhalla 2. Silly? Perhaps, but when was the last time you found yourself sitting still in a computer game and just sat there listening to the music...? For music playback, I use JRiver (MC 20). I just got sick and tired of iTunes and while FooBar 2000 is great a great free program it was a pain (for me) to get configured at higher bit rates through the Essence's DAC.

For general gaming/Skype/etc., my "backup" headphones are Sennheiser PC 360's (but that is a different story/forum).

I miss these headphones. Since I am on a foreign exchange program, I had to stay as compact as possible and couldn't bring my desktop setup. Right now, I'm using my Westone 4R and Fiio X3 for my audio needs. It's just not the same, though...

Just got the amp and DAC, this makes one of the greatest things I've ever heard.

Just Got a HD650 happy with it. however I felt that my E12 lack power to drive the 650
Choosing with this 2 portable amp

1. Cypher Lab Duet
2. Alo mk3-b+

Who do you think will suit the hd 650

Thanks!

Is the Duet actually more powerful than the E12? I would also be curious about the peak voltage and current output as they are part of the "driving" equation. Man the Alo seems a tad expensive, is the amp really supposed to provide enough quality power to justify that type of price? Not sure if balanced output for portable is enough (or even needed). Can you actually reliably hear the difference between balanced and non-balanced?

On the RxMk3 you really do hear the difference.  I believe ALO and RSA both use a voltage trick to double the power to the balanced output.  I heard a massive difference in output "authority" recabling my HD650s to take advantage of that...
