Dang, that's a tough one. All of her albums are enjoyable. I'd say my favorite track is Love is Blindness off the Blue Light till Dawn record. Also her latest Another Country is good start to finish and expertly recorded...part jazz, part blues. On this album there is a track called Almost Twelve. The first 30 seconds is a bass drum solo that hit's hard and is wonderfully textured. The tracks continues with some great sub bass.

It's tough to go wrong with any of her stuff. Most of her albums on can picked up for a mere .75c over at half.com plus shipping.

Sweet... wow thanks man! Know where I'm grabbing all my CDs from now on.

Back to tears topic:

[copy from other thread] I gave my technology-ignorant girlfriend try HD650. She said: "They play music so wonderfully", "I'd listen and listen to these, they are very, very good", "these are a lot better than those [fa-003], you may sell those right away" (I had lent moded fa003 to her for some time). I didn't look at her face while she was listening but she texted me later today that she almost cried, too.

 These are some serious headphones...

I kinda like the humor of this one

@ eimis:

They surely are (serious headphones), and you're lucky your girlfriend hears it straightaway.  It's fairly common that ("non head-fier") people don't find the HD650 particularly good, let alone if you tell them the price of these.  The worst thing you could be told being, of course, that they are as expensive as a nice pair of Beats ...

So, you've got an audiophile girlfriend, congratulations on both the headphones and her audio tastes :)

Dam you Matt, why are you telling me about another artist? Just finished spending more cash on music. I blame you for getting me hooked on Melody Gardot.

So.... what track?

Would anyone here consider going to grado ps500's from hd650's?

Reason i ask is because I have hd650's (which I really like), have had grados sr80/225i (which I liked except for the highs), and am wondering if anyone would consider the swap as an "upgrade".

I understand they are different sound signatures, but I'm genuinely curious to hear what others think.
