I don't have anything worth bringing yet (I have a couple of months to get something though

), but I could help out if you need anything. I am not more than a couple of blocks away in Lindenhurst.

Given how much gear you've got (and how big and heavy it is), he really better be "the Dan of Steel"!

I should be by. I'm tempted to bring the following rig:

iPod > T-Amp > Stax SRD-7 mk2 > HE90

(who knows, it might actually sound decent!

IIRC, one of Hirsch's meets had a similiar setup using an iRiver H140 that reportedly sounded "better than it ought to"

So bring it!

Dave...I missed you at the last 2 NY Rave meets. Some of the members were talking about you. It will be good to see you again.

I regret to say that I will not be able to attend this meet. It's a shame too because Dave was the first Head-Fier I ever met in person. Oh well, Dave. It will have to wait until next time. Same to the rest of you fine fellows.

I'm itching for some new gear. I want to see impressions on Stax gear to go along with my Lamda Pros/SRM-1/MK2 setup (different headphones, different amp?), some entry level tube amps, some cool closed headphones, and some more K701 impressions. I need a high end open phone to complement my HF-1s. Give me lots of impressions so I can salivate and wait anxiously for the spring meet.

Tisk, and I was going to bring a regular Lambda and SR-X mk3 as well as find a SR404 and Omega 2 along with various amps and transformers to compare with your Lambda Pro...

Oh well... might as well leave that stuff at home...

Not trying to guilt you into coming or anything.

Believe me, Jason, there are few places I'd rather be. However, my uncle's wife is having a baby shower and my wife is organizing it. She is a great believer in coed baby showers, much to my chagrin.

You poor, poor man. You've gotta get out of it, you'll drown in the estrogen. I'm the farthest thing from a misogynist, and I'm all about "sharing" with my wife, but seriously -- run. Come up with something. Anything.

Look, here's a start. Best I can do on short notice. Pick a game, any game, and tell her it's the most important one this year.

That might almost work except for the fact that I'm going to the Yankees/Red Sox game the following weekend.

And there will be a fair amount of testosterone in the room.
