The RK50 is ungodly expensive, which I think was the point.

It is my belief that a true no-compromise amplifier should have no pot at all. It must simply be built in such a way that the volume is correct without attenuation.

Nik, how could you possibly plan to modify the lid? I suspect a nice coat of blue dynamat would look lovely and audiophiles swear by it.

the pot. of my R-10H was the RK40 (Black Beauty), as you can see in the inside photo of the amp. that is a very good pot. but the RK50 is the best pot in the world, the price is 500$, only by special order from Japan, and 3 or 4 mounts of wait to have it.
