gee willies millerdog, do you work for a hi-fi store or something...

i think alan greenspan was thinking of you when he coined the phrase 'irrational exuberance'.

more $$$ does not necessarily equal better sound. I think you would be happier if you carefully auditioned your various components together, and then spent money on the right combination, rather than just buying the highest priced item on your budget. For example, if I was spending $50 on a mini-mini interconnect, I would buy the Kimber from headroom if I followed your advice. But that Kimber did not synergize with my equipment and did not sound good to me. The cheaper markertek cable (about half as much) sounds more natural to my ears and has given me more satisfaction with the gear I own.

Yours is a recipe for audio DIS-satisfaction. In time, you'll see what I mean...

Jeff,
I was targeting the newbies who asked about what cans they should get.....most seem to ask the same question..should I spend more?
Yes! I say...I also see your point...perhaps I should say....read the posts....beyers...senns...akgs....grados....
then spend your money! OOPs! I forgot the sacred sony V6s....
Wires?...that is another post!
Thanks for the suggestions and your point is well taken. Do I work for a hi fi store? I freakin wish!
