Beware. Even though I loved this IEM. Within three months one side stopped working. Handle with care.

@wrathzombie : I generally baby my IEMs The cable feels like it can withstand a fair amount of tensile stress. However, I do not know how the wires are secured within the housing. Good strain reliefs would be of no use if there is any weakness within the housing.

@twister6 : The new cable has a single cable into Y split and a chin slider while the old one was just two parallel cables all the way from the 90 degree jack to the earpieces. No chin slider... just a fixed plastic clamp. Hmm... have there been enough build issues reported to warrant a cable redesign?

@smartwild : Thats quite unfortunate. My VSD1S has been holding up quite well, but I am a careful with IEMs in general. The VSD1S are my main outdoor IEMs, and I usually wear them cable up. Perhaps this reduces the stress on the driver connections.

Does the new pair you received from your dealer have a different cable(snakeskin pattern)? Vsonic seems to have updated the VSD1S with a more robust cable. See, if you can get an exchange.

@getclikinagas : it's not my fault , it has the same cable, I contact the dealer try to get another and he say to repare them ... Today I go to repare them :frowning2:
P.S If I put over the ear and the left is right and right is left , the sound will be the same just the instruments or other stuff will be change....? thx

@smartwild I apologize for not being clear, I absolutely did not mean to say that you weren't careful. I am paranoid(overly careful) when it comes to IEM safety, therefore I would not know the consequences of 'normal' usage.
----------
Just so that we are on the same page, the earpiece with the lettering is meant to be on the right. I maintain the right earpiece on the right side when cable up and cable down. This is because of the swivel nozzle, which I push completely to the angle of my ear canal. Also I have noticed that the cable does not exit the housing at a steep angle only ~ 80 degrees (when compared to other IEMS like Vsonic's own VSD3S)
As for sonic differences: When I switch the left and right earpiece, the main difference is in imaging/placement (feels uncomfortable; especially on familiar tracks).
-----------
If it is within warranty, try contacting Vsonic directly to see if a repair or replacement can be arranged with the upgraded cable. I am unsure if Vsonic can be contacted directly(Maybe through LMUE). Did you purchase it from an authorized dealer? Anyway, I hope LMUE can help.

The only post regarding repair was this: http://www.head-fi.org/t/663709/vsonic-vsd1-vsd1s-reviews-impression-thread/1845#post_10460583

@kova4a is our resident VSD1/VSD1S/VSD1LE expert (who has now moved on to more 'Noble' pursuits :p ). Maybe he can chime in.

@getclikinagas it's okay :) I now what you mean )) I need  just a drop of glue on that magnet ( in that picture ), I called a guy who repare and he say it cost me around 2 $ it's not too much and i agree with this. I have a sansa zip with rockbox , and today I want to find something to invert right to left and left to right . Have a nice day
