Well, I still like the GT 2021, especially with new V7 opamps. It is still a TOTL amp. Sorry, I cannot tell the difference with Voyager in percentage).

So you added v7 opamps to the soloist 3xr gt2021? The classics or the vivids? In what way did the sound better for the good?

The Mini Scarlet without upgrade cable costs about 600€. With the upgrade cable it costs about 750€.

Hmm, you mean in the store?
When it comes to Europe with shipping and VAT; customs, it's near 40% more

Or is there a place in the EU you can buy them from, for 600€?

Cheers!

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Solid all resin build.
Good ergonomic shape for universal fit
Easy to drive.
Venting module affecting the entire sound.
Venting module preventing vacuum build up.
Scales to higher end sources
Scales to higher end cables
3 distinctive tunings via bass boost switches
Superb airy sound signatures.
Superb bass driven sound signatures
Audiophile bass IEM, L signature
Audiophile U signature
Audiophile neutral signature
Versatility on a different level
Full weighty, well-balanced trebles
Dimensional highly technical mids
speedy, tight full impactful quality coaxial bass.
Value for the price.
Cons: Tips, sources and cable sensitivity- need to find synergy
Included stock cable enhances the full treble end of the TSMR-X
Not the best for vocal lovers but has a unique vocal presentation due to an airy sound.
Trebles can sound a bit harsh for treble sensitive folks- different cable required
Bass can be a bit too much for some folks- #3 switch will reign in that bass

I have to thank you to pave the path for TSMR X; lot of fellow brothers followed, myself included.

I have to say, this is my most expensive IEM but the sound worth every forint spent.

Redcarmoose

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Really good timbre across the board as no BA drivers used
1 x 5.8mm planar driver for high frequency
1 x 6mm dynamic driver for middle frequency
1 x 6mm dynamic driver for low frequency
Warm and coherent holding provocative pace with careful note/vocal positioning
Nice note-weight
A truly warm and inviting tone with nothing out-of-place
Careful, complete, correct, even and consistent tune far above what you would guess for $199.00
Goes with many styles of cables, yet at times music genre and source matching is a road to success
Medium-small at only 4 grams each
Half a hollow resonant chamber and half a solid see-through 3D construction
Comes with a nice (incredibly ergonomic) cable that gets you 90% there as far as cables go
Comes with branded ISN magnetic latched, faux leather case
Cons: Not holding all the reverberations at times, note fall-off too quick
Can get confused with busy tracks, does slightly better with simpler music

You're one of the only reviewers I know that use timber to characterize sound, thank you for that. For a hobby that is essentially made for listening to music, the lack of correct instrument/music theory jargon is mind boggling. People often say "neutral" or "lifelike presentation", which has some credit but leaves off a vague impression of intangible performance. Timbre is just timbre, it's what makes those things neutral and lifelike for crying out loud.

On the review itself, I'm surprised they didn't fit you well, the p5 and the p8 are imo marvels of technology because of the so many things fit inside them on a small form factor. I could use mine for hours on end without feeling a thing, whereas with the B3 the cartilage starts itching after 2 hours max.

Nevertheless, very nice review, I'll happily look forward to your others :)

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Generous accessories
Built like a tank
Multiple input and output ports for a spectrum of case uses
Big power on tap; balanced and single-ended outputs, 3 gain settings
Supports a multitude of Bluetooth codecs, and is the first portable device to support BT 5.4
XMEMS transducer compatible
Smooth and lush tonality, with organic timbre
Good technical chops
Hiss and EMI free
Low output impedance with iEMatch, thus compatible with fussy low impedance IEMs
Does not get hot with usage
Good battery life, can be powered by mains or battery
Cons: On the larger and heavier side for a portable source
Power specs controversy
Takes a long time to charge up
No LED screen, no XSpace/XBass functions
Bluetooth connectivity is not the best
Pricey (diminishing returns)

The problem with IEMatch is that output impedance actually increases to around 6 Ohms with it on. Unless the main source of noise is the amp stage, they should put it on the input side.

Great review! Do you think Trio is an update of Castor? I only listen to symphonies. My first IEM is S12 pro which is okay for violin and piano, but is bad for symphonies especially pieces from romantic period. My second is KZ ZAR, much better than S12 pro thanks to its dynamic and textured bass. However, its mid and treble are a little bid lack of focus (imaging? I don't know how to describe it). Now I settle on Castor bass version. Really love it.

dchen1109, I think the Trio improves on the Castor Harman (the version I have), but if you listen to symphonies you may prefer the PR3 which does have superior imaging and a better treble. This beautiful symphony sounds great on the PR3:

Cons: -not the cleanest sound

-not for treble head or bass head
- one switch would have been enough

I'm very eager to hear what it should sounds like when paired to holo audio bliss or Azure, Not meaning your gears are not good, but I think those can't sing tungsten well which has extremely low sensitivity, and those are even not enough for hifiman gear's neither.

Can you elaborate on the thin sounding mids? Which instruments, drums or percussion suffers on this?

@dezzadk snare hits suffer from the thinner mids. Instruments like conga as well. Mostly percussive hits lack the body and impact I'd expect. Baritone vocals also do not sound as "fleshed out" as they should.

Pros: Overall, very good sound and representation in all three ranges.
- Great low end, with very particular bass, deep, dual, dark, rough, attractive and captivating.
- Very good ability to recreate detail and generate layers.
- Excellent cable with choice of balanced 4.4mm plug. Very good zipped case. Rose demonstrates that great capsules can be paired with great accessories and options such as various colours and SE and BAL plugs.
Cons: There is some imbalance in the midrange, between the first half and the second half. A little more homogeneity and smoothness in the upper-midrange would have been superior.
- MMCX interface.
- The shape and design generates some discomfort for me over time.
Although the cable and the zippered case are excellent, they only come with one set of tips.

Definitely pricing them out of reach for most consumers. Congrats they may sell 10 units. If it was priced at even $1500 it's still a major purchase for most consumers. I have no doubt these are totally awesome in every way but until the prices become more consumer friendly they are pricing them far out of reach for most. I would love to be able to hear a lot of the ( Flagship) gem's but for what I would spend traveling to a Can Jam , airfare, hotel, etc. I could actually buy a pair of $1500 buds ... as HBB says "at these prices these buds should crawl under the table and blow me" .. I'm not being negative or sarcastic but just stating the fact that it is what it is.....
