Cut to the chase. Bought this for my wife's table top system, because she needs a CDP that can play WMA and MP3 as well as redbook. This CDP is nicely made! The case is quite sturdy; perfect if you want to put a headphone amp on top of it. It reads red book CD, as well as CDR's with MP3 or WMA without any problem. It's sound is clean, clear and open, lacking any digital artifact. I'm left scratching my head for significant criticism, at this price point!
