Pros: Resolution; treble; comfort
Cons: Sibilance; lack of impact; narrow niche of music
Applies to T-PEOS D-201 (seems they are identical in sound)

Sound ports are artificially narrowed down probably to cause sibilance on purpose. They perform instrumental music magnificently while failing to play mainstream music on a full scale because the the lack of punch in the low range and excessive sibilance. Treble is nice. Mids are mostly ok.

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Punchiest bass; flat response; loudness capable
Cons: Low resolution
These headphones are made for listening to modern extreme genres of loud brickwalled poor-quality metal. They smoothen out spikiness and make drums sound so powerful and quick as if your head was inside them. Little dirty in highs but non-sibilant. Endure high volume and ask for it without being fatiguing.

Pros: Punchy tight bass; acceptable treble; lightweight
Cons: Dirty sibilant highs; insufficient lower midrange
Too much dirt and sibilance at 5.5-6.5KHz. Also they are not so murderous about bass as many people suggest.

Pros: Nice feel
Cons: Generally bad and muddy sound with lack of resolution
Another review of a product I rejected after a brief test at a store. You may overestimate some headphones at first sight and regret buying them later. But a feeling that something is very-very wrong from the start is rarely deceiving. Wouldn't have written this review if I hadn't seen most of you adore them. Muddy upper bass interfering with mids is unbearable. I really don't remember what was with the treble, but I clearly got the impression of cheap, muddy sound. Even if treble was flawless fault points limit would still had been reached.

The only reason to buy them is to try modding them into some kind of HD 598. Sennheiser just gone too far purposely debilitating sound quality to provide diversity to the market. Use it to your advantage. As they are they can't compete even in $50 category.

Every headphones should have either something good or at least special about them. These have neither. Typical thing you gonna say "will do, will have to".

Pros: Wide frequency range; extended treble response; punchy bass; overall detail
Cons: Build quality; terrible ergonomics
Ritmix brand is famous in Russia for providing budget devices of varying quality. Strangely I found no mention of it on Head-Fi so decided to introduce.

6mm radiator is placed not in the depth of heavy ceramic case but right in the metal tube behind the grill. Such placement provides less distortions - sound comes right onto eardrum without additional reflections. Unfortunately heavy case hangs on the tube's long leverage and makes it always intend to pop out. There is also difficulty in properly positioning them in ears because of no pressure ports and sensitivity of the membrane to pressure.

Be very cautious replacing sleeves because tubes are glued to the cases and may come apart.

Why 5 stars you wonder? Because of the sound. Ever heard flawless yet v-shaped sound with punch, range, extension, clarity, resolution and no sibilance? That's it. Most phones have decaying treble after 10KHz, here however it elevates which may be a bit offensive to some overly sensitive ears but i consider it to be on the edge of being tiring. Mids are recessed but not a bit blurry. Bass is punchy as hell and very much "whole". The best part is that you can enjoy every possible genre of music with these - a trait very few outstanding-sounding earphones can demonstrate.

If you cant find them where you live, try Fischer Audio Gryphon. RH-155 are most probably a replica of them.

If you look at the Kogan Mp4 player thread, there are few posts which mentions aboutRitmix. Their model RF-7650 is same as Kogan Mp4 player.

Pros: Beating
Cons: Everything else
I stick to the opinion that people should write reviews only after some time spent with a merchandise. But after trying these out at a store, I came to conclusion right away because my crap-o-meter went off the charts in a blink of an eye. Imagine a $1 generic OEM chinese earpiece. Add some strong ear-beating to it (can't use the word "bass" because it would be offensive to the latter). And here you are! Razer Kraken in the flesh!

Pros: Have bass
Cons: No resolution; no highs; nothing at all; questionable ergonomics
A not garbage cheap IEM turns out to be total garbage. In spite of the fact, it is very popular and revered among non-enthusiasts. No treble whatsoever - after 10KHz you meet dead end cliff. Muddy bass that intrudes into mids. They are so awful that even some 3 times cheaper IEMs sound much better. Did I buy a fake? Probably not for similar reviews come from people who bought them from proven retailers.

Pros: Resolution; price
Cons: Bad frequency balance; harsh treble; extreme fatigue
These cans are rated "studio" which means that you probably have good equlization equipment to compensate for their murderous and sibilant elevation at 4-8KHz range. The sound is very detailed but fatiguing and there is no smoothness or finesse to it. Bass is a bit empty but sufficient. Upper treble is obscured by 8-10KHz so equalize once more, don't listen to them flat. Clamp is too strong and pleather pads provoke intense sweating. These headphones properly equalized and amplified turn into a magnifying glass or a microscope with which you may explore recordings on sub-level but you can't see landscapes with it if you get what I mean.
Actually SR950 are even worse. The only difference is that they sacrifice resolution for more subbass extension to make even 10Hz audible but it aint worth it.

Pros: Hi-resolution; no sibilance; good imaging
Cons: Little bass; narrow frequency range; tricky to plug; overload at high volume; no pressure port
Nuff said. Rather enjoyable but definitely not your one and only IEM merely because of narrow frequency range and voids in lower frequencies. Good one to fall asleep in. Sweet lullaby.

Pros: Non-fatiguing; comfortable in sound and form; just pretty in every aspect
Cons: Flabby bass; under-extended highs; slightly under-expressive mids; can't handle high volume
Perfect choice for those who need everyday "workhorse" to listen for hours and hours at low volume. They reproduce almost every detail and make music sound like candy.

PETEBULL

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Perfect treble; super detail; lightweight; portable-friendly
Cons: Mid-and-upper bass insufficient in quantity; resonance at around 1 khz
Manufacturer asserts that they are extra-bassy and closed. That's a lie. They are semi-open and airy-sounding. Radiators are angled to the front with no dampening. I was astonished by the treble they provide (hadn't heard anything of the kind before among more expensive headphones). Almost non-sibilant and totally not fatiguing. The major drawback is resonant mud sometimes heard in female vocals in a narrow range of mid frequencies, yet not too harsh to become a problem, rather a peculiarity. However in rare examples of metal music that could become a problem (Hypersonic - Existentia for example). The minor drawback is inability to produce powerful bassy impact no matter how you try to amplify. While mid-and-upper bass is recessed, sub-bass is present in adequate quantity. You can still discern all the bass if you take effort in listening in but it doesn't get delivered on a plate. Headphones have no claim of neutrality. They are meant for re-listening your favorite recordings.

Shame that they have been discontinued.
