The best TWS option available
Pros: Mobile
Strong connection
Good output
Cons: App could be much better
Missing Xtra bass and Xtra space options that ifi is known for
This isn't going to be a technical review. There are enough of those already. They are like the recipe blogs where you learning the history of bread when you just want to get to the recipe!

So here's the deal. These are good. They destroy the options from Fiio, Shure, and ibasso. I've opened and returned all of them.

These have better driving power, a strong connection, and ldac. And they sound darn good! That's why we buy them. Do these sound better than the other tws options like the xm5, az80, and perl pro? That will depend on the iem you pair them with. These work great with my Thieaudio Monarch mkii. Bumping the bass a bit using power amp gives them a nice little kick. Staging is solid as well. Huge improvement over the fiio utws5, but for 3x the cost, they should be.

I recommend downloading and paying for Bluetooth codec changer, as that can force your phone to always do 990 kbps in ldac mode instead of changing every time in developer options.

So do I rec these? Hell yeah! Best option on the market. Works with fairly hard to drive iems, but the app needs a lot of work. Ifi needs to do better there and include more features and dsp options.

I've had high hopes for the Lagoon for a while. I've gone through a lot of BT headphones and have rejected ones others have loved. Xm3 was the best overall (though Nad Hp70 beat it in SQ), but I let those go. I've been using Sony Z5's for a while on the go and DT 1770 at home, but even the Z5 just doesn't quite have the effect of a true overear and the 1770 is just so bulky and heavy. Enter the Lagoon.

Im very picky about overear fit. I dont want a giant stupid looking headphone. I want it tight and minimalist. To that end, I think V Moda Crossfade are the best looking and best built you can get. The Lagoon, on the other hand, is built very similarly to the XM3. Black plastic that does the job, keeps it pretty tight, but is neither striking, nor offensive. They are pretty light and keep it tight, Making them great for on the go.

Like the Xm3, they aren't quite overear, but rest on the edges of my ears. This can create some discomfort after a while.

As for Connection, these have aptx. That's just dumb. This isnt 2012. Every BT headphone, especially one for $400 should have Ldac. I would also encourage you to dow load the MIY app and disable headphone pausing. I found just when wearing them, they were constantly pausing. Disabling this feature fixed that.

So how's it sound? Damn good. It's a pretty neutral sig. Bass is less boomy and more defined than xm3, but isn't even close to Crossfade 1. In an a/ b, Lagoon is wider, and more detailed, with smoother treble, more space and better separation. Bass can be EQ'd but is there without it. I'm a bit of a bass head though, so that crossfade bass really calls to me.

All in all, it's become my on the go. After updating the firmware (download update tool to your PC), fixing the pause effect in the app, you have a headphone whose ANC approaches Sonys, that looks pretty similar, but sounds more detailed and has a longer battery. Also, unlike Sony, you can use it unpowered and it still sounds good! Without its DSP, the xm3 driver sounds terrible. Not so with the Lagoon. Highly recommended as a strong package. Apparently, an update with aptx HD is on the way as well.

How does the sound signature of the DT 1770 compare with the Lagoon? Is it a typical airy Beyer sound?

Pros: bass, comfort
Cons: look goofy, cable
So, after hearing these and buying them at RMAF this year, I sold my DT 1770's, which I loved and had modded to improve the sound. Why did I do that? One main reason: the bass. I enjoy the 1770's and they were my first real audiophile headphone. They are built like tanks, and sound great, but the Dekoni's have the most articulate bass I have ever heard. Do they look as good? No, they are kinda goofy design, but they are lighter, and the pads are super comfortable. Cranking the bass up, it is just so well defined without being muddy or boomy, not that the 1770 is boomy. This just does what the 1770 does sonically a little bit better--not a ton better, but enough that I reach for these over my 1770, so 1770 didn't stick around. I still love Beyer, but these are just legit headphones. I would like a better cable for them, but at $199, I'll buy an aftermarket cable.

Buy them!

Pros: Accurate, detailed, and neutral. Responds to EQ
Cons: Too damn big!
This has been called beats for audiophiles. It has great sound, is neutral and detailed, but they are glossy and fairly fashionable. In general, I like a V shape and listen to hardcore, metal, metalcore, so treble and bass add a more lively sound. This headphone does not emphasize those without an EQ. I have the DT770 and UE6000, as well. Those are ultimately better for the genres I listen to if left without EQ, but the PSB's are more detailed and can be EQ'd through Poweramp or other software.

A big plus for these (at least for me) is the replaceable cups, 2 detachable cords, and the hard case. These even come with an extra set of cups, which is awesome if you damage yours.

There is a clamp to them, but it is light. They will stay on your head at the gym, unlike the UE6000's, which have a lighter clamp and tend to slip off.

I have not heard the ATH MSR7's, but these are consistently rated higher. The only reason to look at the MSR7's is possibly that they don't look as goofy as these. These are attractive stand alone, but they are just so big.

I would also add that the DT 770's have a wider sound stage, with better musical separation. That has to do with the huge cups, I believe. These don't have that, but comparably are still damn good sounding.

Got mind on Ebay for $137. $230 new

I would say they are slightly mid-centric, but close to neutral overall.  Great pair of cans, only bested by their goofier-looking cousin, the NAD Viso HP 50.  That RoomFeel technology both have really do make them sound more like speakers in a room, especially the PSB.
