1DD + 7BA IEM with Crisp Sound & Powerful Bass!

Clear & detailed
Excellent build quality
Comfortable for long hours
Great noise isolation
Cons: Soundstage can be wider
Introduction

It is loaded with a dynamic and 7 balanced armature units on each side. U-curve style tuning for audiophiles like you and me. Supports 20 to 40,000 Hz frequency. Comes with 8-strand braided silver-plated upgraded cable. Sound great? Let’s find out now...

Package Content & Design
KZ ZAR comes in a simple black package. Well-protected as you can see. Once taken out KZ ZAR with medium size ear tips, there are user guide, additional 2 pairs of silicone ear tips (S & L) and 120cm standard 8-strand braided silver-plated cable with microphone.

This upgraded cable is 8-strand silver-plated. Comes with standard 3.5mm plug and is loaded with aluminum alloy splitter. Rest assures that it will shield signal interference, reduces distortion rate and ensures lossless transmission of sound quality. By the way, mine is loaded with microphone and single button smart control.

Outstanding build quality with black and grey colour! ZAR is loaded with glossy cover with see-through bottom shell. Rest assured that it will protect all the 8 driver units inside. As usual, it comes with 0.75mm standard gold-plated plug, widely applicable to 2 Pin cable. You can change the cable easily when needed. Or turn it into Bluetooth earphones with KZ AZ15 Wireless Bluetooth Earhook.

Fit & Comfort
It is a pleasure and comfort to wear KZ ZAR for long hours. Be sure to pick the correct ear tips size that matches you. And it needs to be worn over the ear. In addition, the ergonomic design helps to keep the earphones securely on my ears too. As for passive isolation, it is great. It does block some environment noises. And you won’t notice much microphonic from cable as well.

Sound Quality
It is easy to drive KZ ZAR with just 16Ω impedance. In fact, it is easier than KZ PR1 Pro. It might have even lower impedance. Therefore, rest assured that your smartphone will have enough power to drive it. Of course, using high performing DAC like Zorloo ZuperDAC Pro (ESS Sabre 9281ACPRO) will give you much better result. It will push ZAR to its limit. That's for sure.

KZ ZAR is loaded with U shape sound signature as per advertised. It does bring more excitement to all types of stuff like gaming, music and movie. The soundstage is decent. Good in depth but not so wide. Nonetheless, you can identify those musical instruments clearly thanks to the clarity that it brings.

For details, highs are very crisp and sharp. Great in details retrieving. You might face a little bit of harshness on certain songs if using bright DAC. But nothing to worry much about. For mids, it is getting warm touch on the vocals. Nice and natural. They are forward and close to your ears. Lows are loaded with powerful deep bass. Yet well in control. You can surely feel the bass bumping here and there.

Advantages
  • Crisp sound with powerful deep bass
  • Clear & detailed
  • Excellent build quality
  • Comfortable for long hours
  • Great noise isolation

Limitations
  • Soundstage can be wider

Conclusion
KZ ZAR is an interesting U-shape in-ear monitor that you want to own. Enjoy crisp and powerful bass. Great details retrieval too.

Turn Your Wired Earphones Into Wireless!
Pros: Crisp & clear sound with nice bass
Wide soundstage
Wide Bluetooth range
Ultra-low latency
Excellent microphone
Comfortable for long hours
Great battery life
Cons: Voice prompt notification can be improved
Introduction
KZ is well-known for value yet performing earphones for both wired and wireless. There are a lot of interesting wired earphones like KZ PR1 Pro. Thanks to the detachable cable design, you can turn them into wireless ones with the help of KZ AZ15 Wireless Bluetooth Earhook. Does it sound great as wired? Let's find out together...

Special Thanks
This review is possible thanks to below companies. Be sure to check them out...

Package Content & Design
Everything comes well-protected as usual. Once opened, there are KZ AZ15 Ear Hooks in a charging box, short USB-C cable and user guide in both English and Chinese. Take your time to go through the manual.

A rock-solid charging box with green LED light indicator. The USB-C port is located on the left by the way.

Excellent build quality. KZ AZ15 is loaded with smooth matte plastic housing with gold colour. The ear hook is flexible. Comes multi-function button with green light indicator around it. The microphone is just beside the button.

The charging pins are located at the back as you can see. There are also left and right indicators on the hook.

Fit & Comfort
It fits well. And does add some weight when compared to TWS Bluetooth earphones. That's for sure. But you have the chance to enjoy your wired earphones wirelessly. And that's priceless. Comfort is great too once you get used to it. And they stay secure during exercise activities.

Performance Result
KZ AZ15 is powered by Qualcomm QCC3046 Bluetooth 5.2 Module. It supports aptX and AAC codec with low latency gaming mode. The connection is excellent. It can go up to 9m with obstacles like walls. As expected, the audio and video are virtually in-sync. All thank to aptX and AAC audio codecs that have lower than the usual SBC codec. In addition, high performance mode has even lower latency. Lastly, you can use KZ AZ15 as stereo or mono as you wish.

Based on specs, KZ AZ15 can last for 6 hours on a single charge. And up to 54 hours when combined with the charging case. More than enough for your daily activities. There is battery life percentage status on Android devices, iOS devices should have it as well.

Thanks to Qualcomm’s cVc 8.0 Microphone Noise Cancelling. You can enjoy crystal clear phone calls as it will suppress noise during a call and reduce echo feedback. Yup, others can hear me loud and clear.

Sound Quality
KZ AZ15 is loaded with standard and high performance modes. You can toggle them with 3 clicks of right button. Another full power mode can be activated with 3 clicks on the left one. Standard has the best audio quality, high performance has lower latency and full power boost overall output power, clarity and deeper bass (it can be used on both standard and high performance).

Sound signature will be determined by the earphones that you used. For the KZ AZ15 itself, it is a bright DAC. That's the standard with full power. The highs are crisp and clear. You can enjoy the clarity that it brings. As for mids, both male and female vocals sound nice. Getting the clean treatment here. Bass is there but don't expect too much if you are using bright earphones. As for the soundstage, it is wide. Much better than other TWS out there. For performance mode, everything is slightly closer to your ears. The soundstage is narrower too. But you are getting warmer sound and lower latency in return.

As for driving power, it is good enough to drive PR1 Pro on full power mode. You almost need to max out the volume without it. As long as your earphones are 20Ω impedance and below, you are good to go. And for the best result, pair warm headphones with it. By the way, the sound quality won't be as outstanding as those expensive wired DACs. But you have wireless mode in return...

Advantages
  • Crisp & clear sound with nice bass
  • Wide soundstage
  • Wide Bluetooth range
  • Ultra-low latency
  • Excellent microphone
  • Comfortable for long hours
  • Great battery life

Limitations
  • Voice prompt notification can be improved

Conclusion
Turn your wired earphones into wireless. That's the wonder of KZ AZ15. Enjoy crisp and clear sound. Ultra long battery life with the changing case. Don't forget you can also make phone call now.

Sound Quality
KZ SA08 Pro is loaded with standard and high performance modes. Both of them have different sound signatures. Let's talk about standard first. It is smooth and relaxing. In short, balanced sound signature. Highs are clear and clean. No harshness and sibilant at all. As for mids, both male and female vocals sound nice. Again, getting the smooth and relaxing treatment here. Bass is decent and has enough of amount. Not powerful deep bass though but still gets the job done. The soundstage is wide. Instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene.

As for performance mode, everything is slightly closer to your ears. The soundstage is narrower too. But you are getting warmer sound and lower latency in return. Therefore, bass is slightly stronger and deeper. In addition, the vocals are having warm touch too. So they sound more sweet and lovely in return. Give and take, just pick the sound signature that you love most will do. In short, it is a pleasure to use KZ SA08 Pro for all types of activities including music, games and movie.

Package Content & Design
KZ PR1 Pro comes in a simple white package. Well-protected as you can see. Once taken out KZ-PR1 Pro with medium size ear tips, there are user guide, additional 2 pairs of memory foam ear tips (S & L) and 120cm standard 8-strand braided silver-plated cable.

This cable is 8-strand, 200-core silver-plated. Comes with standard 3.5mm plug and is loaded with aluminum alloy splitter. Rest assures that it will shield signal interference, reduces distortion rate and ensures lossless transmission of sound quality. By the way, you can also opt for cable with high-sensitivity microphone. Just pick the one that you prefer will do.

Outstanding build quality yet stylish in design! PR1 Pro is loaded with lightweight alloy cover with see-through bottom shell. Again, rock-solid surely will protect the 13.2mm dual-cavity planar unit inside. As usual, it comes with 0.75mm standard gold-plated plug, widely applicable to 2 Pin cable. You can change the cable easily when needed. Or turn it into a Bluetooth earphones with KZ AZ15 Wireless Bluetooth Earhook.

Yeah... There is a free KZ Earphone Case included this round. It is compact and lightweight. Loaded with high quality PU leather fabric.

Perfect fit. Just put your KZ PR1 Pro inside the case. And carry it to any place that you prefer easily.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
KZ PR1 Pro is designed to be worn over the ear. Yup, it is pleasant and comfortable to wear for long hours. Just pick the correct ear tips size that matches you will do. Memory foam ear tips never let me down. In addition, the ergonomic design helps to keep the earphones securely on my ears too. Besides, it has excellent passive isolation. It does block some of the environment noises. And you won't notice much microphonic from cable too.

Sound Quality
It is easy to drive KZ PR1 Pro with just 16Ω impedance. Most smartphone in the market should have enough power to drive it. Personally, I am using Zorloo ZuperDAC Pro USB-DAC with ESS Sabre 9281ACPRO. It is much better than smartphone built-in one. And manages to get more juice out of KZ PR1 Pro. FYI, it is slightly easier to drive than PR1 HiFi Edition.

Overall, KZ PR1 Pro has balanced with warm touch sound signature. As usual, it is dynamic and detailed. Soundstage is wide and imaging is excellent. Narrow than HiFi Edition but the depth in all direction is much better in return. Therefore, you can identify all the instruments' placement clearly. As usual, Arcason by Candido Camero and Oh by Dave Matthews surely perform well here too.

Warm and pleasant vocal is the star today. Yes, PR1 Pro performs the best on vocals no matter female or male. They sound comfy and lovely. Eyes on Me by Faye Wong, Tim McGraw by Taylor Swift surely give me the sweetness of their voices. That's the beauty of PR1 Pro brings. You will feel that HiFi Edition with bright sound signature sounds cold on the vocals.

Highs are detailed and clear. Not as bright as HiFi Edition. Toned down a bit but still able to give the crispness that it should. As for lows, they performs very well as the warmness continues to shine here. Yes, you can easily feel the bass bumping here and there. Deep and punchy yet well in control. Overall, both Pro and HiFi Edition are excellent planar IEM. Just pick the one that suits your taste. You can't go wrong with either one of them.

Advantages
  • In love with the warm & comfy vocals
  • Dynamic and detailed
  • Clear imaging with deep depth
  • Outstanding build quality

  • Excellent noise isolation

Limitations
  • For the price, nope

Conclusion
Fall in love with the warm and comfy vocals! Enjoy dynamic and detailed music. Budget yet performing! Wait no more and get your KZ PR1 Pro now. Enjoy it!

  • KZ for this KZ PR1 HiFi Edition Planar Earphone

Package Content & Design
KZ PR1 comes well-protected in a simple white package. Mine is HiFi edition as you can see. Besides KZ-PR1 with medium size ear tips, there are user guide, additional 2 pairs of silicon ear tips (S & L) and 120cm silver-plated cable.

Have a closer look at the durable silver-plated cable. It is loaded with high-purity oxygen-free copper wire core that provides efficient transmission efficiency. The silver-plated layer on the surface of the wire core can reduce signal attenuation. By the way, you can also opt for cable with high-sensitivity microphone. Great for phone call no doubt.

Outstanding build quality! All thanks to hollowed-out aluminum alloy cover and electroplating bottom shell. In addition, it is stylish and looks great with metallic texture. Rock-solid that surely will protect the 13.2mm dual-cavity planar unit inside. Besides, it comes with 0.75mm standard gold-plated plug, widely applicable to 2 Pin cable. It can block some of the environment noises while music is being playback. And seldom notice microphonic from cable too. That’s good.

Sound Quality
KZ PR1 HiFi Edition is easy to drive with 16Ω impedance. Most smartphone should have enough power to drive it. Of course, it is even better on external DAC like Zorloo Ztella. And you don't need to be an audiophile to discover the greatness of PR1. Your existing smartphone and tablet’s audio quality no matter iPhone, iPad or Android device will level up automatically. And don’t limit PR1 to high res music only. It shines on the usual stuff like MP3, YouTube MV, games and movies too.

Overall, KZ PR1 HiFi Edition has balanced toward slightly bright sound signature. Detailed and dynamic. Excellent soundstage and imaging. All width, height and depth are wide indeed. Yes, instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene. Arcason by Candido Camero and Oh by Dave Matthews surely perform very well here.

Highs are airy and detailed. Sharp and clear with no harshness. This is the place where PR1 shines. Mids perform well too. Vocals no matter male or female sound natural. Great clarity and resolution. Vocals and instruments' separation is great too. Yes, I do enjoy the clarity of the guitar and sweet female vocal. For lows, PR1 continues to perform. It is deep and punchy yet not overpowered.

  • Tronsmart for this Tronsmart Apollo Air TrueWireless Stereo Plus Hybrid ANC Earbuds

Package Content & Design
Everything comes well-protected just like other Tronsmart products. Once opened, you can find Apollo Air itself, 2 additional pair of ear tips and the charging case.

Followed by USB-C charging cable, warranty card and user manual (in multiple languages). As usual, do go through the guide to know more about Apollo Air.

Build quality is great with sturdy plastic housing. Glossy surface as you can see. Super light in weight with just 40g only. It comes in 2 colours - black and white. Yes, it is loaded with 6 microphones. 2 feedback mics are located on the top, another 2 feedforward mics at the middle and the last 2 talk mics at the bottom. The Tronsmart Logo is the touch-able multi-function button. It is very sensitive.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Fit is okay not perfect. Maybe due to the oval bore tip design. I am using M size ear tips usually but I need S ones for Apollo Air. Comfort wise is okay as well. No complaint here. Just make sure to pick the correct ear tips size that matches you will do.

Yes, IP45 dust and waterproof are supported. Just focus on your exercise and no worry about sweat, splashes and even rain. As for passive isolation, it is decent. It can block some of the environment noises while music is being playback.

Performance Result
Excellent Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling performance for the price. Yes, Apollo Air does a great job on cancelling the environment noises. Better in ambient noises like engine from airplane, train and so on. They disappear totally when you play music with ANC turned on. Besides ANC, there are another 2 modes – ambient mode on and off. Ambient sound mode increases environment sound so that you can aware of your surrounding while commuting. Off is the normal mode without ANC.

As for Bluetooth range, it is excellent as well for TWS. It can go up to 8m with obstacles like walls. Connection is very stable too. In addition, aptX and AAC audio codecs are supported and they have lower latency than the usual SBC codec. Thanks to TrueWireless Stereo Plus too. Yup, audio and video are virtually in sync that great for movie, games and MV. Lastly, you can use Apollo Air as stereo or mono as you wish.

Based on specs, you can enjoy up to 5 hours of music playback. Over 20 hours of listening with the charging case. More than enough for your daily sport activities. And there is battery indicator status on iOS and Android devices.

Yes, excellent phone call experience is what you get. Thanks to 6 microphones with cVc 8.0 technology for crystal-clear calls. Others can hear me loud and clear.

Sound Quality
V-shape sound signature is what you get from Tronsmart Apollo Air. Yes, enjoy much more excitement due to that. And thanks to customized graphene driver for better sound quality too. As usual, this is the result that you get from perfect fit. Bass is gone if fit is not perfect. Highs are super bright and clear. A little bit too sharp for my taste. Certain songs will have harshness a bit. As for mids, vocals sound natural in both male and female. Placement correctly which not too close nor too far. Bass is punchy and powerful. Not bloated like those budget ones. The soundstage is decent. Not the best out there nor the worst. Instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene thanks to the sound clarity.

That's for the default setting. You can adjust its sound signature with equalizer in the Tronsmart app. There are Original, Deep Bass, 3D, Hi-Fi, Classical, Vocal and Rock. Each one of them has its own sound signature. Personally, I prefer Classical the most as it reduces the treble sharpness a bit while still retaining the powerful bass.

Advantages
  • Crisp V-shape sound with powerful bass
  • Excellent ANC for the price
  • aptX and AAC support
  • Outstanding microphone
  • Mobile App with EQ settings
  • Long battery life
  • IPX45 splash-proof
Limitations
  • Average fit (at least for me)

Conclusion
Hybrid ANC earbuds with sharp treble and powerful bass! Excellent ANC performance for the price. Don't forget the crystal clear call too.

Excellent build quality is what you get from Mega Pro. Solid and sturdy housing, covered with metal speaker grill. The top and bottom parts are loaded with soft touch plastic. By the way, it is considered a medium size portable speaker. 250 x 82 x 104 mm with 1.8kg in weight. Still able to carry around but do take note of the weight.

Yeah... It is loaded with sensitive touch control buttons on the top. In addition, they are LED backlit. You can control and navigate Mega Pro easily even in the totally dark environment. That's great!

In the front, there are 2 tweeters and 1 woofer. Covered with metal speaker grill as you can see. A big Tronsmart logo in the middle.

The big passive bass radiator is located at the back. Covered with metal speaker grill as usual. On the top part, there is power button. Other ports like AUX input, micro SD slot, USB-A and USB-C ports are covered with rubber.

At the bottom, there is a large plastic pad. If you look carefully, there are 4 tiny bumps that act as anti-skid pads. No worry, they do a great by providing stability to Mega Pro. It won't move even on loudest bass.

Yup, have a closer look on these ports.

Performance Result
Bluetooth 5.0 range is excellent. Easily reach up to 8m+ with obstacles like wall. Audio and video are virtually in-sync. That’s great to use it with mobile devices like smartphone and tablet to watch movie. Lastly, AUX cable is always there for non-Bluetooth devices. Oh, don’t forget that it supports NFC pairing as well.

Yeah... I love built-in media player with FLAC support. Mega Pro does a good job on this. Yes, it can play FLAC format on top of the usual MP3 music. Just plug in micro SD or USB flash drive will do. Turn Mega Pro into a music box then. By the way, you can also use it as a power bank.

As for speakerphone, it is great. Others can hear me loud and clear. As usual, closer to mic == better voice quality to others. Don't forget the IPX5 water-resistant support. No worry about getting wet with splashes and sprays.

Based on specs, it can play non-stop music up to 10 hours at around 50% volume level with its 10400mAh battery. And required 4 - 5 hours to fully charge.

Sound Quality
Tronsmart Mega Pro can fill up your whole living room easily with 60W total output (RMS). Up to 120W when connected to another one through TWS. Yes, you can rock the world every night. In addition, it comes with 3 EQ Effects – Deep bass, vocal and 3D. You can adjust the sound signature to suit your needs. By default, it is deep bass, followed by vocal and 3D.

It is a very bright sound signature speaker out of the box. The 2 tweeters do their role here for sure. In short, treble is really sharp and clear. You might hear some harshness on certain songs (when playing at maximum volume). Do take note. Bass is there but not as deep as I expected for deep bass mode. Anyway, you still feel some bass when close to it. And it has widest soundstage among all. The second EQ with green colour does focus on vocal. Both treble and bass are reduced slightly. Lastly, the so called 3D mode (blue colour) gives me the most bass. Yes, powerful for its size. It reduces treble and slightly bumps up the bass. In short, I feel the first one is 3D and the last is deep bass.

For your information, Tronsmart has 2 60W portable speakers. Size is about the same. Weight too. For sound, Mega Pro focuses on clarity while Tronsmart Element T6 Max on deep powerful bass. Hopefully, this will clear up your mind on which 60W speaker to get. Pick the one that matches your needs. If you prefer a balanced one. Go for Mega Pro and select the 3D mode (blue colour) EQ.

Advantages
  • Clear, crisp treble with nice bass
  • 3 different equalizers
  • Excellent Bluetooth range
  • Great speakerphone
  • Long battery life
  • Excellent build quality
  • IPX5 waterproof

Limitations
  • Harshness on certain songs (when playing at maximum volume)

Conclusion
Enjoy clear, crisp treble and nice bass from Tronsmart Mega Pro. A powerful Bluetooth speaker that suitable for both indoor and outdoor thanks to IPX5 support. Don't forget that useful features like TWS, built-in media player with FLAC support and other more.

Great for long hour of gameplay, movie watching and music listening for sure. As for passive noise isolation, it is average at best as over-the-ear closed back headphones. Performance Result
Hybrid active noise cancelling performance is decent for the price. Yes, it does help to reduce ambient noises like engine from airplane, train and so on. Not cancelling totally but you won't notice it during music playback with ANC turned on. Besides ANC on, there are another 2 modes – ambient normal on and ANC off. Ambient normal mode actually increases environment sound a bit and reduce source music level so that you can aware your surrounding while commuting. ANC off is the normal mode without ANC.

Outstanding Bluetooth 5.0 range! One of the best Bluetooth devices that I have test so far. Easily connect up to 10m with obstacles like walls. Connection is very stable too. Furthermore, AAC audio codec is supported. It gives better sound quality and has lower latency than the usual SBC codec. If I don't get the fit quite right, I get too much bass too. If I adjust the fit and use smaller tips than usual, they sound better. The Lypertek and FIIL T1XS have more refined sound, that's for sure, but the Apollo handles the bass well- even if it is a little beefy in the subbass region, mine still separate pretty good

Between these, the FIIL TX1, the Mpow M5/T5 and the Edifier TWS NB 2, which one would you pick? My preference is: 1 - sound quality (hip hop, house music), 2 - battery, 3 - being able to lift weights with them (not worryiing they will fall out of my ears). Many thanks! PD: I've got a pair ot Mpows T5/M5 but the right piece stopped pairing.

Package Content & Design
Onyx Ace comes well-protected just like other Tronsmart’s products. There are earphones, charging case, USB-C charging cable, warranty card and multiple languages user manual in the package.

Yeah... Meet the budget 'Apple AirPods'. Look like it but loaded with much better hardware inside. Build quality is great with sturdy plastic housing. Stylish design with glossy surface. Yes, it is very light in weight at about 4 gram. In addition, it is loaded with sensitive multi-function touch control on top. And bright white LED light indicator at the bottom. The charging case is nice and small that ease to carry in your pocket. Lastly, it comes in 2 colours - black and white.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Tronsmart Onyx Ace is having the traditional earbud design instead of the common in-ear. Fit very well and comfortable to wear for long hour too. And it stays securely while exercising and jogging. No worry about dropping it at all since it’s so light. Don’t forget the IPX5 splash-proof that works well against sweat, splashes and rain. No different ear tip sizes, just one size to fit all. Therefore, you won’t have great noise isolation which is known for this kind of earbuds. But it's great to know what's happening around you like incoming traffic.

Performance Result
Bluetooth range is average for TWS earbuds. Onyx Ace can go up to 5m+ with obstacles like walls. Connection is stable as long as you keep in range. Excellent phone call experience. Others can hear me loud and clear thanks to quad-microphone with Environment Noise Cancellation technology. Yup, it will identify your voice intelligently and filter out the background noise. Great for those who are looking for an earbud for phone calls.

Sound Quality
Bright sound signature is what you get from Tronsmart Onyx Ace. Without proper seal due to earbuds design, you won’t get punchy bass like those in-ears. Therefore, it is great for those who are looking for clear and clean treble. Bass is there but on the relaxing tone. If you need more bass, look for Onyx Neo. Or Spunky Beat for extra deep bass. In short, Onyx Ace sounds great for the price.

For details, highs are crisp and clear. Sharp but not until there is harshness. Well-controlled no doubt. Basically, it is the best part of Ace and focuses on. As for mids, vocals sound nice in both male and female. Natural and sweet indeed. Bass is there and decent in performance. But don’t expect boom boom kind of bass will do. Soundstage performance is decent for the price. Instruments placement separation is good even in the complex scene.

  • Tronsmart for this Tronsmart Element T6 Plus SoundPulse Portable Bluetooth Speaker
  • Zorloo for Zorloo Ztella USB DAC

Package Content & Design
Element T6 Max comes well-protected like other Tronsmart’s products as you can see. It's a heavy package by the way. And it looks like a giant pill.

Once taken the speaker out, there are storage pouch, 3.5mm AUX cable, USB-C charging cable, warranty card, user manual in multiple languages and other quick guides. As usual, do go through all the guides to get started.

Excellent build quality with aluminum + ABS as housing. T6 Max is crafted in premium aluminium alloy and fabric finished speaker grill. Don't forget 4 tweeters and 1 woofer, plus the custom-designed array of 8 passive radiator inside T6 Max. Simple yet stylish in design. Compact and portable to carry around with bundled storage pouch. But do remember it is a heavy speaker at 2kg.

On top, there is an intuitive touch panel with integrated lighting. All the navigation buttons are located there. Yes, you can easily recognize the buttons even in a dark room thanks to the integrated lighting. By the way, it will go off after 30 seconds if there is no button tap. Just tap it to bring the backlight to turn on again.

Here are USB-C port, DC input, AUX input and power button with cover.

And here is the large round anti-skid pad that provides stability. Yes, it is working great even on maximum volume level. Stable as expected.

Performance Result
Outstanding Bluetooth wireless range! Yes, it is a pleasure to use Tronsmart Element T6 Max through its stable Bluetooth 5.0 connection. It can connect up to 8m+ with obstacles like wall. Free free to wandering around. Jumping between rooms is not an issue. In addition, it is virtually in-sync between video and audio. Great to watch movie, TV series and play games on mobile devices like smartphone and tablet. Lastly, there is AUX-in port for non-Bluetooth devices. Don't forget it supports NFC pairing as well.

T6 Max does not have any micro SD slot like other Bluetooth speakers. So no built-in MP3 player. As for speakerphone, it is great. Others can hear me loud and clear. As usual, closer to mic == better voice quality to others. Yes, T6 Max is loaded with IPX5 water-resistant. No worry about getting wet with splashes and sprays. It can easily withstand sprays from sitting next to the sink, the pool, or the shower.

As for battery life, it can play non-stop music up to 20 hours at around 50% volume level (based on specs). All thanks to built-in 12000 mAh li-ion battery pack. And it requires about 6 hours to fully charge by using 5V/3A power adapter. By the way, there is battery life indicator on both iOS and Android devices. Great to know when to charge it.

Don’t forget that T6 Max supports TWS. Just pair up 2 T6 Max units together and enjoy wider soundstage in stereo. Louder too!

Sound Quality
Element T6 Max is loaded with Tronsmart patented SoundPulse audio technology and custom speaker drivers. It is able to evenly spread a max of 60W output with the balanced, detailed and wide-range sound to every corner of the room. Yes, enjoy stunning 360-degree surround audio. And due to that, the speaker placement does affect the sound signature a little bit especially on the treble part. With 60W output power, you can easily throw a small party. Great for indoor and suitable for outdoor as well.

Besides SoundPulse, T6 Max is loaded with 3 equalizer audio modes - Balanced, 3D and Deep Bass. By the way, Balanced audio effect is the default setting when you turn on the speaker every time. Alright, let's talk about sound signature for each audio mode. Balanced is just like its name - balance but slightly toward warm. Bass is a little bit more than treble. Putting T6 Max near the wall does help to increase treble volume due to sound reflection. As for 3D, you can feel that treble is being bumped up. And of course some 3D surround effects too. Not too much but you will feel it. Lastly, Deep Bass mode turns down the treble volume. Therefore, you can enjoy deeper and powerful bass in return.

In detail, highs are clear and clean. Not the brightest out there but does its job well. As I mentioned, placing speaker against the wall does help to increase the clarity. Mids performs great. Both female and male’s vocals sound nice and natural. Finally, you can’t miss the great deep and low bass. Powerful for its size no doubt. Yes, you are almost getting subwoofer kind of bass level. Surely will level up your entertainment experience especially in action movies and games.

Advantages
  • Outstanding sound with 3 different equalizers
  • Powerful deep bass
  • Excellent build quality
  • Long battery life
  • TWS mode support
  • Great speakerphone
  • IPX5 water resistant
  • Portable
Limitations

Conclusion

Onyx Neo performs the same as Spunky Beat so far. Why does Tronsmart come out Neo then? You might ask. Both of them have different sound signature. Neo is balanced toward bright this round. Highs are crisp and clear. Basically, it is the best part of Neo and focuses on. As for mids, vocals sound nice in both male and female. Bass is there and decent in performance. But don't expect boom boom kind of bass like Beat. Soundstage performance retains the same - good for the price. Instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene.

Advantages
  • Crisp & clear treble
  • aptX and AAC support
  • Wide Bluetooth range
  • Excellent microphone
  • Long battery life
  • Comfortable for long hour wear
  • IPX5 splash-proof

Limitations
  • For the price, nope

Conclusion
Love clear and crisp treble? You don't want to miss out Tronsmart Onyx Neo then. Great sound for the price. Period. Love extra bass? Look for Spunky Beat then.

The bigger issue is that after connecting with mine Shanling M0 they turn off after 4 minutes as well as when connected them to TV. They work normally with a PC or phone, do not turn off after 4 minutes, but I need TWS to the player. Tronsmart sends hundreds of its TWS to reviewers, but they only praise and usually remain silent about the issues. Too bad, stupid mistake and wasted money! I wanted TWS, but Tronsmart can only produce demo of good design and sound.

Hello. The bigger issue is a defective charging box. Version 1.1 is normal , and version 1.3 is defective. After one charge, it stops charging. The problem is most likely in the LP7801 chip.

T6 Mini comes well-protected like other Tronsmart's products. Once taken the speaker out, there are 3.5mm AUX cable, USB-C charging cable, warranty card and user manual in multiple languages. As usual, do go through the guide to get started.

Excellent build quality with ABS + aluminum as housing. I love the matte coated housing that gives the rubberize feel when touching. In addition, the fabric-covered speaker grill provides grip when holding it.

All the buttons are located on top. Same applies to 2 LED light indicators (blue and yellow) and microphone.

At the bottom, there is a passive radiator that works with a custom magnetic levitating driver to produce deep bass with detailed clarity.

At back, there is a cover for micro SD slot, USB-C port and AUX input as part of the IPX6 water-resistant feature. And lanyard holes for detachable strap.

Yup, carry T6 Mini with you easily no doubt. Or hang it anyplace that you want.

Performance Result
Outstanding Bluetooth wireless range! Yes, it is a pleasure to use Tronsmart Element T6 Mini through its stable Bluetooth 5.0 connection. It can connect up to 8m+ with obstacles like wall. Free free to wondering around that you want. In addition, it is virtually in-sync between video and audio. Great to watch movie, TV series and play games on mobile devices like smartphone and tablet no doubt. Lastly, there is AUX-in port for non-Bluetooth devices.

Yeah... T6 Mini supports FLAC file format on top of the usual MP3. Enjoy high quality music all day long. Just plug in micro SD card and it will start playing song for you then. As for speakerphone, it is great. Others can hear me loud and clear. As usual, closer to mic == better voice quality to others.

Based on specs, it can play non-stop music up to 24 hours in single charge on its 2500 mAh battery (50% volume level). Shorter when louder which is expected. And it requires around 3 hours to fully charge. By the way, there is battery life indicator on both iOS and Android devices. Great to know when to charge it.

Sound Quality
Bright and clear sound signature is what you will get from Tronsmart Element T6 Mini. 15W total power output is good enough to blast in a quiet large living room. If that not enough, just add another one through TWS. You have 30W total power output then. Besides, you can also enjoy actual stereo sound on top of the existing 360° surround sound.

T6 Mini focus more on treble than bass unlike its bigger brother Tronsmart Element T6 Plus. Therefore, you have clear and clean treble. Vocal is being bumped up as well. Yes, all the audio instrumentals can be heard clearly no doubt. As for bass, it is decent. Powerful for its size. You can feel the bass bumping here and there. But not as deep as T6 Plus when compared. Overall, T6 Mini sounds great for the price.

Advantages
  • Bright & clear sound
  • Decent bass
  • Excellent build quality
  • Long battery life
  • TWS mode support
  • Built-in FLAC player & speakerphone
  • IPX6 water resistant
  • Ultra-Portable
Limitations
  • AUX & micro SD won't work on TWS
Conclusion
Small but powerful. Yes, that's what Tronsmart Element T6 Mini can do. Enjoy clear and nice sound quality. Long battery life and TWS support. Ultra-portable that suitable for both indoor and outdoor.

Here are the included eartips. Just pick the one that matches you.

A compact charging plastic case with built-in USB-A cable. You still can charge it even when you forgot to bring USB-C cable out. And there is USB-C port to charge as well. A nice touch if the built-in cable is broken.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Beat fits very well even with shorter nozzle. Comfortable for long hour wearing. Thanks to round and smooth body no doubt. I can get perfect seal with M size ear tips. Just pick the one that suit you will do. Yes, it stays securely while exercising and jogging. No worry about dropping it at all since it's so light. By the way, you can use Spunky Beat as stereo or mono as you wish.

Based on specs, you can enjoy up to 7 hours of music playback. Up to 24 hours of listening with the charging case. Surely more than enough for your daily sport activities. In addition, there is battery indicator status on iOS and Android devices as well. Great to know when to charge it.

Sound Quality
Tronsmart Spunky Beat sounds great for the price. Period. As for sound signature, it is balanced with slightly toward warm. Yup, that's mean you are getting extra bass than treble when Beat securely fit into your ears. Highs are clean with no harshness at all. As for mids, vocals sound natural in both male and female. Bass is deep and powerful. But no worry, it is well in control and not overdone. Again, soundstage is okay at its price range. Not the best out there nor the worst. Instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene.

Advantages
  • Clean treble with powerful bass
  • aptX and AAC support
  • Wide Bluetooth range
  • Excellent microphone
  • Long battery life
  • Comfortable for long hour wear
  • IPX5 splash-proof

I had a very bad experience with Lypertek Pureplay Z3. The glued parts are not properly finished. The joint in one of the buds is widening, I really doubt it is a IPX7 rated product.
The the sound is good but not as good as hyped. It is brighter to the extend of being little harsh and fatiguing. Lacks refinement. You can hear little glitches while connecting, disconnecting, pausing and playing. The mic is horrible. The buds are bulky and uncomfortable for long listening.
The company has serious quality control issues and no customer support. They are surely not worth the price, I regret buying this. Sould have gone for time tested brands.

Performance Result
Tronsmart Element T2 has the best Bluetooth range among all my Bluetooth speakers. Well done, Tronsmart. Easily passed the 10m Bluetooth range in straight sight line with no obstacle test. And up to 8m+ with obstacles like walls. As for True Wireless Stereo function, it is working excellent. Pairing Element T2 speakers with TWS is really simple with just a single button. And you can place them far away (more than 7m) to enjoy the true stereo effects. Furthermore, it has virtually no lag between video and audio for iOS and Windows PC (Android devices have slightly lag). It's my current sound system for Jumper EZbook 3 Pro budget Ultrabook on the go. Great for movie, games and music no doubt. As usual, there is AUX in port for non-Bluetooth devices.

24 hours non-stop music playback on 1900mAh battery. Yup, that's the test done with 1 Element T2 speaker on average room sound level. As usual, battery life will be shorter when play louder. And longer if you pair 2 of them. In short, it has more than enough battery life for whole day entertainment. And requires around 3.5 hours for self fully charged. By the way, there is battery life indicator on both iOS and Android devices. And the LED light blinking red and blue with beep notification sound when battery is low.

Speakerphone is supported for conference call in a small group. Or you can use it as hand free mode. Phone call quality is good. Other can hear my voice loud and clear. Same apply to myself too. As usual, closer to microphone == clearer voice. Before I forget, Element T2 has built-in MP3 player too. It will start playing your favourite songs right after plugged in micro SD with MP3. And IPX56 waterproof rating is great to protect it from water splashes and raining.

Sound Quality
It's all about bass? Not quite, but Tronsmart Element T2 does have powerful bass for its compact size. Balanced toward warm sound signature is what you will get. Highs are smooth and no harsh at all. Details are there but not as much when compare to bright sound speaker. Mids are decent with clear and organic vocals. Bass is the star. Powerful yet in control. Furthermore, it can go really loud without any distortion. That's great! Songs like Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, Beat It and Black or White surely get different feel with it.

Advantages
  • Balanced toward warm sound signature
  • Excellent bass
  • Outstanding battery life
  • Ultra wide Bluetooth range
  • Built-in MP3 player & speakerphone
  • TWS mode support
  • IPX56 water resistant
  • Lightweight & portable
Limitations
  • AUX & MP3 does not work on TWS mode

Introduction
Looking for an in-ear monitor around $100 that sound great? I have one to introduce - SIMGOT EN700 BASS. It is a lightweight and all-metal earphones. • E1 - SIMGOT for this SIMGOT EN700 BASS In-Ear-Monitor
  • Lotoo for Lotoo PAW 5000 Hi-Fi Music Player
  • Zorloo for Zorloo ZuperDAC Portable Hi-Fi USB DAC

Package Content
SIMGOT EN700 BASS comes in a very nice and stylish gift packaging. Well protected too. Once opened, you can find SIMGOT EN700 BASS earphones and storage bag. There are 6 set of ear tips, velcro, brush, user manual, global warranty and VIP card as well (all written in both Chinese and English). They look great and premium for sure. And the high quality brown leather case will ease to carry and protect SIMGOT EN700 BASS on the go.

Design & Build Quality
Top-notch build quality and nicely done. Premium for the price that you paid. The lightweight aluminum alloy all-metal housing is oval in shape. Round and smooth to provide the best comfort. Slightly larger than other in-ear earphones that I own. As for inside, it is using N50 high magnetic composite moving-coil driver with polymer composite titanizing diaphragm. Comes with OFC braided wire with 400D DuPont KEVLAR fibre cable and gold plated plug. Ear hook for over the ear wearing. Need detachable cable? Check out the PRO version then. As for colours, there are black, blue, red and titanium for you to choose.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
There are 2 types of ear tips. The first one with larger bore to give you clear sound with powerful mid-high frequency. And the other one with smaller bore to provide enhanced bass. Personally, Eartip I fits me better and getting better seal. And provide good comfort even on long hours of hearing. As for isolation, better than most of the IEM that I own. Surely block some of the environment noises here. And seldom notice microphonic from cable too. That's good. The only complaint that I have - cable with hook tends to tangle easily (at least for me). Need some time to untangle when trying to use them.

Sound Quality
In short, SIMGOT EN700 BASS is a little bit toward warm rather than totally balanced sound signature. The bass is well controlled and does not affect mids and highs. And easy to drive with 16Ω only. No need external amp to get the full potential out of it. Smartphone and tablet have more than enough power to drive it. Of course, it sounds better with dedicated DAP like Lotoo PAW 5000 or DAC like Zorloo ZuperDAC. Personally, I prefer it to drive with bright / natural sound signature media player.

Let's talk about highs...They are well extended, natural and smooth. Surely no harshness and sibilant like those bright IEM. As for mids, vocals sound natural in both male and female. A bit forward and closer to ear. Female vocals like Faye Wong, The Corrs and Taylor Swift sound sweet to me for sure. Resolution is good, loaded with clarity and play along nice with all the instruments in the music. Bass is where SIMGOT EN700 BASS shines. Songs like Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, Beat It and Black or White surely get different feel with it. You get enhanced punch and rumble bass yet in control. And does not make everything muddy at all unlike other IEM that I tested. Soundstage is wide and decent for IEM. Instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene. Overall, SIMGOT EN700 BASS sounds great for the price.

Advantages
  • Smooth and toward warm sound signature
  • Detail and dynamic
  • Excellent build quality
  • Comfortable for long hour wear
  • Premium & lot accessories
  • Decent isolation
Limitations
  • Easily tangled cable

Conclusion
SIMGOT EN700 BASS is surely a keeper for the price point at around $100. Enjoy slightly warm natural sound. Comfortable for long hour wear. Premium and loaded with lot of accessories. Interested? Do visit SIMGOT Website for more information.
