Specifications:
Product Name:KZ ZAS In Ear Earphone

Earphone sensitivity: 109dB/mW
Frequency range:10-40000Hz
Pin Type:0.75mm
Driver units: 7 balanced armature headset + 1 Dynamic driver

This unit was provided by KZ in return for my honest opinion about the product. I'd like to thank Love Jr David for the assessment.

We all know that KZ was one of the most popular Chi-Fi brand in the market, they've been dominating the ultra budget segment for years, let's take a look if they improved through those years.

Build Quality and Fit:
The build quality on KZ products hasn't really been an issue for me, except of course their QDC like pin which is a bit frail but overall the build quality is nice, the fit

Sound:

Bass: This is probably the most bass heavy KZ I've ever tried, the bass goes deep, as a basshead I kinda like it though the texture is just something you'll notice as too smooth or not that detailed, the decay quite slow it's noticeable specially listening to a fast bass tracks like Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites which sounds sloppy and messy. Overall it's more like a quantity over quality.

Mids: There's really not much to say about the mids, they're not as recessed as most V shaped KZ IEM, but due to the quantity of bass it bleeds through the mids sometimes, it still depends on the tracks. Overall, mids are good considering the amount of bass ZAS has.

Treble: This is what I'm concerned about on most KZ IEM's but this time they've gone into the right route, a smooth and non fatiguing treble, it's still has that metallic timbre which is reasonable but I just wish it has more body and not as thin as it sounds. Overall, it has a safe non fatiguing treble.

Technicalities:
This is quite a bit underwhelming specially the amount of drivers they've put into it, I was hoping it would benefit most on technicalities but sadly it didn't, soundstage is ok it has more width than height, the imaging is sub par due to it's nature of being a bass heavy IEM.

Conclusion:
KZ had done a great job on making an enjoyable set on a budget, they've definitely improved in terms of tonality but still fell short in improving on technical performance, would I recommend the ZAS? I would honestly say maybe, for those who's looking for a bass heavy set with a non - fatiguing treble. At the end of the day it's all a matter of enjoyment than being conscious and bothered by the tiny bit of details.

๐๐”๐ˆ๐‹๐ƒ:
BGVP DX5 are probably one of the most well built earbuds I've tried, it isn't like the typical earbuds I owned, it has a solid aluminum body paired with an mmcx plug. The cable are nice, the mmcx connector, the splitter and the 3.5mm jack are also in an aluminum finish. It fits well on my small ears and fairly light despite having a solid metal build, it feels and looks premium.

๐“๐‡๐„ ๐’๐Ž๐”๐๐ƒ

๐‘ฉ๐‘จ๐‘บ๐‘บ:
Let's start on the weakest side of these buds, the lows are light, too light for my preference it has enough bass to notice but not enough to actually enjoy some music, it isn't for bass heads for sure, even when I try to push it through my ears I'd say that it's still isn't enough to enjoy some hip-hop, EDM and reggae tracks it'll end up sounding too thin or an eq'd lows, even though it is light it's fairly detailed and fast.

๐‘ด๐‘ฐ๐‘ซ๐‘บ:
The mids are excellent! I love how natural and smooth the mids are, to be honest I'm quite surprised how I end up liking this set despite being a bass light earbuds, it made me appreciate more on live tracks and acoustic music. Female vocals tends to favor more on these set it sounds airy and open, it's like listening to an open-back cans (reminds me of grado's headphones), vocals are slightly forward to give much more emotion, listening to lea salonga's live performaces gave me shivers, as her high notes are pleasingly sharp, the transition between the mids and highs are smooth.

๐‘ป๐‘น๐‘ฌ๐‘ฉ๐‘ณ๐‘ฌ:
The treble is fairly detailed and has a sparkle with a decent extension at the top, it's smooth and isn't fatiguing and I can say you can probably listen to this in hours comfortably, there isn't much to say about the treble, it sounds natural.

๐‘บ๐‘ถ๐‘ผ๐‘ต๐‘ซ๐‘บ๐‘ป๐‘จ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฌ:
The soundstage is above average it has a natural depth and width it sounds very open that gives a good imaging, separation is also great but it doesn't perform well in some busy tracks.

๐‘ช๐‘ถ๐‘ต๐‘ช๐‘ณ๐‘ผ๐‘บ๐‘ฐ๐‘ถ๐‘ต:
The DX5 was a bit underwhelming on my initial impression but it grew on me, at first I was listening to my usual test tracks (mostly edm, pop punk and metal) it was underwhelming how it performs on them, but after spending more time with it and testing more genres I was actually surprise why I'm liking it despite being bass light, it made me appreciate more accoustic tracks and live vocal performances, it ended up being my sleeping buds as it sits well in to my ears. So the biggest question is, Is it worth the price? Hell yeah it is! The build quality and the amount of accessories it has, there's no doubt the look and build alone is definitely worth it.

KBEAR STELLAR
Pros: Great amount of bass
Warm and natural Mids
Warm tonality
Good imaging
Great all-rounder buds
Cons: Mid bass bleeds into mids
Treble performance isn't that great
Average soundstage
So I was in a search for some earbuds since I haven't been trying out on earbuds for a while, I love earbuds because they're the real price to performance monsters, it's mind blowing how cheap earbuds outperforms IEMs that's 10 times its price.

Disclaimer, I'm not a sound engineer nor an expert when it comes to technicalities in audio, I just love music and transducers. ๐Ÿ˜

Kbear Stellar... So how does it perform?

๐๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ:
Bass has always been a weakness of earbuds, I find most of my earbuds lacks emphasis on the low end, they seem to lack some depth but not on this set, the stellar got some punch with some nice sub bass emphasis. Listening to some hip-hop tracks is a joy! I'd say bass heads wouldn't be disappointed on this one.

๐Œ๐ข๐๐ฌ:
This where the stellar shines the positioning of vocals is excellent, I love how they're not forward and not pushed back as most earbuds tends to sound, they're placed well in it's position, just right to fill in with the other instruments, it excels most on male vocals but female vocals are no exception, listening to Lea Salonga's track is such a wonder to my ears it's warm and soothing to my ears, it isn't thick nor thin it's just a bit warm that you'll notice it more on live tracks.

๐“๐ซ๐ž๐›๐ฅ๐ž:
Treble are smooth it does have some sparkle but the lower treble seems to be a bit dull to be fair this is probably the weak point of the stellar but at this price this is probably negligible for the sound signature it gives.
