New Head-Fier
Pros: Perfect Soundstage, Best Timbre Among budget iems, Clear&Sharp with Visceral Bass Rendering, Almost Perfect Separation, Low Harmonic Distortion
Cons: Cable has memory, Not best for digital music kinds
I have purchased this iem (wooden one) just because it is so cheap and has good reviews. You know good reviews do not necessarily mean you will like that phones. Look at my reviews and You will see I am a price quality guy who seek the best value among headphones. I try to get a set which covers one reference iem,one bassy-punchy,one over-head and one iem for all around best within low budget but without compromise quality for the purpose. This iems is the answer for all around best without any hesitation. I have no chance to buy premium iems like JVC's but if You are low budget this is definitely the best iem you can buy. You risk just 12 $ but the return of this small risk is absolutely amazing.

Pros:

+ Perfect Soundstage. It has wider potential if you use matched amp/dac.

+ Clear &Sharp with Visceral Bass Rendering.

+ Mids, Highs are naturally balanced nothing aggressive or laid-back. JUST RIGHT.

+ Bass response is natural and visceral. It has enough kick and warm colored ( The only remarkable colorization I noticed. Timbre is perfectly natural-comfortable )

+ Vocals are clear easily separated from harmony.

+ Low Harmonic Distortion which signifies bright but not fatiguing experience.  I think right and left channel have minimum difference.

+ Wooden case might cause less acoustic resonance. It is a huge joy to listen strings based instruments.

+ Easily driven.

Cons:

I have no complaint apart from cheap cables. This iems deserves tangle free cable.

I gonna buy one more for back-up ..dear fellows, go get one...

Pros: good at all but stellar about mids&vocals
Cons: needs good amp/dac for real performance, slightly dark-muted soundstage, can be hot, cord is too long to use practically, too much sound leak,
Everyone here said everything that could be said about these cans. My contribution is about overall experience.. You can get good to very good performance with standard devices according to their hardwares. If you need real performace you need solid amp/dac.My Asus U3 gives very good performance and I am really satisfied indeed but this is review and to be fair with U3 it is not that stellar. If you want that you should use it with real systems.Overall V-Shape character which I prefer in most genres. It is comforty and well made even it is all plastic. It can be hot after 1 hour of usage in spring-summers. It has unnecessarily long cord and its phone connector coming from 70-80's. It is a bargain for sure. I gladly use it when I watch movies and listen classics of all sorts in my cave. Audio performance is 4,5 star (slightly dark-muted soundstage makes me uncomfortable in some genres maybe it needs more burn-in or my ears need more time to tune-in) but cons listed above prevents me using it as main monitor.

Pros: very wide soundstage, natural balanced to warm timbre, great instrument seperation, vocal clearness, bright but not fatiguing
Cons: needs Amp/DAC for real performance
I have just purchased after reading possitive feedbacks. I am glad to see they are right.

+ Classical & Jazz & Blues & Rock lovers definetely should give a shot with this price tag. It can be used as reference. Most people who read reviews are especially interested in bass response. I am a bass head tend to like deep balanced bass.It should be not in front not laid back. Bass is something like saturation in pictures. It makes music lively and saturated but too much of it ruins soundstage.TTPOD T1 has flat like bass response. It is not punchy not forward just right amount in most cases and genres.T1 is somewhere between flat to V-shape but true to the performance objective may be the definition of its main character.

-  Tangle free cord is a must , its cable seems to have memory and wooden case for drivers would be better for resonance.

Pros: solid-deep bass response with visceral rendering, good mids & trebs, price/quality ratio, well made, tangle resistant cord
Cons: good soundstage but a bit narrow , in some genres very colored, the isolation not %100, mutes some fine details in layered music.
I tested it with Dr.Chesky's Binaural album and Depeche Mode flacs.

What I like most is of course bass response..it is more than enough, maybe a bit exaggerated, aggressive. Overall, I am really satisfied this excessive response in some genres. The only real problem it is prone to loudness noise of the record.. Maybe this is because the drivers are too sensitive. I am not that high end audiophile who can use technical terms to describe but this happens generally with lossless files...other problem might be ear pads for some.. smallest ones work fine but fit best no..the reason of isolation leak probably because of pads..I may change them with high quality ones.

Trebs rendering not detailed enough as basses but that does not mean bad  they are as good as it gets behind bass response..not that sharp though. Mids are all balanced and  has enough clearness in vocals and seperation of instruments. V-shape character makes it lively and suitable for pop of every genre. Mids in higher volumes are laided-back. Timbre quality of course not as same as high end JVC  or Senns. Come on guys..this unit costs approximately 20 bucks and within that framework it is absolutely magneficent piece of equipment ...a steal.

It is highly recommended to low budget hifi people like me who wants bassy in ear with good isolataion and tangle resistant cord which can be used on the go. Many over priced in ears I tested are not good as Koss RUK 30K.in terms of basses. It is not your dreams in ears but  cheapest thing very close to it. its price is unbeatable. It provides good solution for mobility in budget. It is not JVC HA-FX850 so you get much more from what you spent.

I really like listening chamber classics, rap, techno, new age and acid jazz records with this unit.It has stellar performance. Apart from those genres drivers have above medicore performance. I use another price/quality monsters Asus Xonar U3 and Fiio E17 . I can drive this unit (16 Ohm) with ease to 32-64 Ohm pro-gaming exiter mode and no problem I face till now. With that mode Depeche Mode etc..listening nearly above over-head quality of most respected brands' mid ranges.

It is made for mobile devices and works wonderful with any device but it gains considerable resolution with more  juice like I stated above. Get one if you like punchy V shaped with good bass kicks without sacrificing mids.

hey, it's good to finally see someone talking business here :) apart from machine like people which acting exactly the same with each other. you know what, image is everything. no one cares about koss in-ears on head-fi but they're jumping to what brainwavz gives them. koss sells the same thing -if not better- with a constant cheap price with lifetime warranty.

i updated my review on ruk30 today, tried to give more detail. i'll try to expand it in time. by the way, i really don't think anything wrong with ruk30 mids, it has a little dark sounding treble, that causing it to sound a little darker and this is only when we compare it brighter sounding bass earphones which costs a lot more. also, giving it a 1khz equalizer amplification helps a lot on this manner since it's a very flat responding earphone. brainwavz s series has even darker signature but no one cares, why we're beating ruk30 that hard ?

this earphone is a definitive steal and people has to know that. thanks for this great review!

Pros: Really Portable, Rich Feature Set, Balanced Soundstage, Work with 5.1.1 android as amplifier
Cons: None for daily-portable listening experience
+Specification rich, nearly usb size DAC

Dolby® Technologies : Dolby® Digital Live/Dolby® Headphone /Dolby® Virtual Speaker /Dolby® Pro-Logic II , Smart Volume Normalizer™,Xear 3D™ Virtual Speaker Shifter,Magic Voice™

Karaoke Functions,10 -band Equalizer,27 Environment Effects,GX 2.5 Game Audio Engine, VocalFX™

+The most portable real solution I have seen.

+Price point is very good. Hard to beat the price/quality ratio. So affordable to give it a shot. (You may be astonished)

+ Work with 5.1.1 android as amplifier. I am really satisfy using it with nexus 5 - 5.1.1 ( +3 db gain and wider soundstage)

+Gamers will like it as much as Hifi heads.

+Generally use it with TTPOD 1, Soundsoul S-018 and Koss Ruk30K really satisfied.Plug it to N5 via OTG.

- EQ pre-defined settings are bad. EQ must be developed..Basic Audio Center.

- Not %100 crystal clear output (but very close to it)

- PC Software needs to be updated

Highly recommended for low budget Hifi experience. You need nothing better on the go.

What are the Windows 8.1 issues you came across? And do you have any idea if there will be driver support for Windows 10? My hunch is no.

Usb issues are minor ones like entension cable connection lost via port if you firmly plug you will have no problem. Asus is good company about drivers I am pretty sure drivers are preparing for win 10 . I highly recommend this little unit for precise sound and home usage.

Pros: Good Soundstage, Deep and Visceral Bass Reproduction Without Shadowing Mids&Vocals, Durable.
Cons: Needs Solid Amplifier/DAC , tend to be bright in some genres
Specs;

  1. Deep bass sound reproduction with 50mm Neodymium driver unit and ring port structure.Neodymium proves its exellence in low budget. Nothing to argue about.
  2. Ring port structure provides high-quality dynamic sound- it is really highly dynamic even with usb sound card-amplifier. Asus Xonar u3 and Fiio E17 very satisfied. May compete with above 500 cans with high end amp/Dac.
  3. Wide head pad for optimum comfort- sometimes it can be hot after 2 hours in summers.I have small ears.generally very comfortable but a bit heavy.

Performance: With amplifier, it ''really'' shines, it responds every tweak you make with eq settings. The soundstage is neutral just slight emphasize to basses, vocals are nearly crystal clear has space between frequencies., mids and trebs are all balanced and at bright side. Mids are warm and  has smooth texture with good timbre. It has much more potential than stated. In amplifier's exiter modes, lows are easily predictable and support bass reproduction viscerally. With even low budget DAC like Asus (also it is  p/q monster) and Fiio E17 cans gain considerable resolution and very wide sounstage (expecially force it to exciter modes above 64 Ohm or give gain +12 db if u want)

+Funky heads like me will definitely love it.Listening Jazz, Soul, Blues,R&B and Acid Jazz is a huge joy. Cans show outstanding performance with all kinds of music but they are best at deep-low bass ones with front mids. It provides balanced- easy listening.without fatigue.(I do not like to pass sound level above %60 I like it around % 40 ) You can customize Your listening with your Amp/Dac's potential. Driving them needs juice.

- Trebs are not that crisp&bright as Grados. Personally not like Grados harsh trebs response. JVC's are all OK.
- Cans can be hot but not that much apart from summer. They are not comfortable as Sennheiser HD 518 (Which has similar performance with dark colored soundstage.)

Price/Quality ratio is oustanding. Can not be easily matched.(even if you have budget)

Pros: spectacular feed response , very good soundstage, crisp&sharp sound signature (for treb heads)
Cons: construction, bass distortion at peak volume, shadows deep lows so bass is flat, sometimes too bright for me (not for bass heads)
I bought it as second hand in good condition. it looks cool, vintage style oldies goldies..but the construction has problems; has not rigid parts, cheap material all around. The performance is mostly spectacular, especially for the money you spent. Technically it is crisp (aggressive) and flat bassy headphone. The resolution is well. Mids and highs are nearly crystal clear. It tends to have some very slight bass distortion at peak volumes (above%85) .The flat bass thing is also a bit shadowing mids and especially deep lows in some genres. Briefly, cans are too bright for my personal taste. Harsh sound signature makes me uncomfortable after 4-5 songs. Never could use it more.

I have bought  Asus Xonar u3 and Fiio E17 for my headphones to get full potential. I may edit according to my final results. (look edit note below)

It is highly recommended for

+ acoustic records, blues, classic jazz, new age techo people who like hearing vocals, mids and trebles at front for detailed resolution  The separation of instruments is the strongest side of the cans.

not that especially good for because of flat bases.

- acid jazz, groove, funky songs, rap and R&B. people who like hearing deep and visceral bass with mids&highs at the same time. Too bright for warm listening. If You like bass keep yourself away.

- the construction materails are not high quality.. You should listen whatever You listen alone!! They are ''really '' open cans. Sound leak will surely disturb people near by. May not durable or last long in outside usage.

Ofcourse ,It is not perfect but even very picky ones especially who likes bright cans will satisfy what they get especially for the price..It is a good digital device headphone.

Edit note: After using it with Xonar, all my previous comments are still valid; slight bass distortion there (in Norah Jones songs especially left can), bass is well balanced for some music kinds (not visceral or deep) bass is there but feels like not really there or show characteristics as mids. It does not need amplifier and can work well with smartphones or similar devices. I usually use it with nexus 5 at home. You can not use it at outside: reasons; it hasn't got durable material, open cans like small speakers. In my opinion it was a very good value (discontiuned) but a bit overrrated. Edit note2: I sold it.
