~ Good quality stock cable.
Cons: ~ Recessed lower mids and the upper mids become a bit shouty.

★ Introduction :-

TinHiFi is a well-known Chifi brand in the audio industry, Their once big hit product was T2. This IEM caused quite a stir at an affordable price. The brand is particularly recognized for good quality in-ear monitors (IEMs). They gained popularity for offering better sound performance at an affordable price, and making audiophile-based equipment accessible to a wider audience.
Tinhifi products often receive positive recognition for their sound quality and value for money, But they still lagging though Relatively compared to other IEM manufacturers. But today I'm here with the review of Tinhifi p1 max ii planar IEM. Although this is the first set from the Tinhifi product line-up that I have reviewed. I'll try to highlight all aspects of this IEM in my review. So that it is convenient for you to understand how equitable it is for this price category.

★ Disclaimer :-

I purchased Tinhifi p1 max ii IEM from Linsoul audio. I had no financial agreement with them to promote their product. The entire opinion of this review is completely my personal.

★ Box content at a glance :-

The unboxing experience of P1 max ii was very ordinary. Which is a bit disappointing because this $100+ IEM doesn't come with a carrying pouch out of the box. There is an opportunity to complain about this to Tinhifi.

1. A pair of P1 max ii IEM.
2. Two pairs generic eartips of different sizes and a pair of foam tips.
3. Decent 3.5mm 4-core Oxygen-free silver-plated copper cable ×1
4. User manual guide ×1
5. Warranty card ×1

★ Specifications :-

~ Driver :-
Φ14.2mm Planar Magnetic driver.
~ Impedance :- 16Ω±15%
~ Rated power :- 5mW
~ Max power :- 10mW
~ Sensitivity :- 98+3dB@1kHz 0.126V
~ Distortion ratio :- 3%@1kHz 0.126V
~ Frequency response :- 10-20kHz
~ Connector :- 2-pin 0.78mm
~ Cable type :- 4-core silver-plated copper cable with 3.5mm gold plated jack.

★ Design, Build & Comfort :-

The Tinhifi P1 Max II IEM showcases a sophisticated design and descent build quality. The 3D printed resin shell looks like it's made with precision and its sleek housing and durable materials ensure both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability. Attention to design details, such as ergonomics and cable quality, enhances user comfort and overall experience.

IMG_20240517_230706.jpg

The stock 4-core silver plated copper cable has good build quality & The cable does not rub against the t-shirt while using the IEM and does not create any unwanted microphonics which is a big positive aspect of the cable. Although the cable is less prone to twisting, Tinhifi added a nice locking strap bracket to prevent it from twisting.

IMG_20240517_225059.jpg

Therefore, it will be considered ideal for use in indoor or outdoor travelling. But the quality of the eartips was not good. Generic eartips seemed useless to me, but the interesting thing is that it comes with a pair of foam tips that can be used to continue the initial level of listening. These features combined make it an ideal choice for users. So it will be the top choice for those who prioritize comfort for long time listening.

★ Sound Aspect :-

P1 max ii basically "V" shape tuned set. Since this is a set of "V" shaped tunings, there is naturally more bass and treble emphasis and the mids are a little behind, There is no exception here. The internal configuration of this set has 14.2mm Planar magnetic drivers which handle the entire sound frequency.
The tuning of this IEM is fun & engaging also tonality was a bit bright-ish but it is safe to say that I did not get any major listening fatigue from its sound. However, those who are very treble sensitive may get somewhat fatigue from this. The foam tips that come with it are quite effective for the bright nature of the treble region, because these tips greatly reduce the brightness of the treble area. I've used stock eartips as well as aftermarket eartips during the sound testing period and it makes a good difference between fit, comfort, isolation and sound. I used Kbear 07 eartips which gave me good experience.

★ Gear used :-

1. Cayin Ru7
(Se & Bal both)
2. Questyle m15 (Se & Bal both)
3. Quloos Mc01 (Se & Bal both)
4. Epz Tp50 (Se & Bal both)
5. Fosi Audio Ds2 ~ 2024 (Se & Bal both)
6. Tanchjim space lite (SE)

Tinhifi p1 max ii planar IEM which is a set of 16Ω impedance whose sensitivity level is 98+3dB so a bit powerful amplification needed to drive it, but if a good quality dac amp or portable player is used, then it gets scaled up with the source and becomes better sounding, but a bit warmish or neutral sounding source will be more suitable with it.

Now, I will discuss the sound in detail, I will start with the Low end of this set, i.e. the bass....

★ The Bass :-

The P1 Max II offers well-controlled and tight bass response. A good amount of rumble is found in the sub-bass region. While not overwhelming, the bass is present and can handle complicated bass lines with clarity. As a planar, the fast attack & decay of bass was quite admirable but mid bass texture is noticeably lacking and some bleed with the lower mids which makes the bass note definition seems a bit weaker. Although it provides fairly clean low-end without any muddiness.

1715941227286-01.jpeg

★ The Mids : -

The mids are clear and fairly detailed, offering good vocal clarity and instrument separation. However, there is some shoutyness in the upper mids section, It may become a little peaky source wise. Which has made the female vocal thin, on the other hand lower mids was recessed and the body of the male vocal has a tendency to be a bit lifeless. This IEM captures vocal and instrumental nuances less effectively. So the mids section will be considered as one of its downside.

★ The Treble :-

The treble region is typically described as bright and detailed, providing good resolution and extension, But the treble part is somewhat disturbed by planar timbre. At the same time, the body of the treble also tends to be thin As a result the guitar string instrument & cymbals sound bright-ish & unnatural. However, some listeners may find the treble to be slightly sharp or sibilant, depending on personal preference, track and source materials .

IMG_20240517_225646.jpg

★ Technicalities :-

The P1 Max II offers a wide soundstage as 100$+ Planar in-ear monitor, with below average depth and height . Imaging is precise, allowing you to distinguish the positioning of various elements in a recording. On the other hand micro and macro details can portray fairly well most of the time. But tonality & timbre was not good, This is due to its planar glare. Overall, its planar magnetic drivers contribute to sound accuracy and speed, making it well suited for a wide range of genres.

★ Comparison :-

~ Hidizs MP145 (Regular varient 159$) ~

MP145 IEM is currently one of the best planar IEM under 200$. It is basically harman target 2019 v2 tuning which is considered mild U shape. The biggest strength of this IEM is bass or low end. It offers very clear, tight & controlled bass delivery where the physicality of the bass is blown out, even though the speed of the bass is less as a planar magnetic driver. But the midrange was clean and forward. Its vocal section is quite enjoying especially female vocal. So, the body of the male vocal is somewhat thinner side. On the other hand, the treble section was quite clean and well-extended, although due to the slightly planar timbre, the sound of some instruments seems more energetic, but technically it provided solid performance. Although the sound stage was fairly wide, the depth and height were surprisingly good and less amount of macro details. Overall its tonality & timbre was fairly accurate which is quite commendable as a 160$ planar IEM.

Vs ~ Tinhifi P1 Max ii

The MP145 has several major differences with the P1 max ii. In mids section MP145 gave much better performance compared to P1 max ii. MP15 will be in a better position in terms of detail retrieval of treble section and better also impact & texture of bass, only P1 max ii will advance due to the speed of bass. Mp145 technically gave better performance but the amount of macro & micro details was more in P1 max ii. Even if it falls behind in sound performance, P1 max ii will be accepted by many people due to fit & comfort (3D printed resin shell) . On the other hand, the big and heavy metal shell like the giant tank of MP145 will not fit well in the ears of many people, as a result, it will disturb the fitting & long time usage experience.

IMG_20240518_085422.jpg

Overall rating out of 5 is what I would give 👇

Bass :
3/5
Mids : 3/5
Treble : 3.5/5
Technicalities : 3.5/5
Build & Astheatics : 3.8/5

★ Conclusion :-

The Tinhifi P1 Max II offers decent sound quality with its fairly well-tuned Planar driver . Its comfortable design and durable build make it a solid choice for those who prefer comfort & long-time usability. However, its high price tag may deter some buyers. Because it has given ok type overall performance for the price but there are better options in the current market. I can recommend it for those who are planning to buy planar IEMs for the first time and also value comfort. But if you give more priority to the sound quality, there are better options in the current market. So Tinhifi should launch more value for money IEMs in market in the coming days.

★ Introduction :-

Fosi Audio was founded in 2017, They quickly gained recognition in the audio equipment market for their commitment to providing high-quality amplifiers and DACs at competitive prices. Fosi Audio products are known for their impressive build quality and sound performance. Their product range includes stereo amplifiers, headphone amplifiers, Bluetooth amplifiers, and DACs, among others. Affordability is on of their key selling point. That's why they aim to provide customers with excellent sound performance and reliability in their audio gear. Today I'm mainly here with the review of their new popular dongle DS2 (2024). I'll try to highlight all aspects of this dongle dac in my review. So that it is convenient for you to understand how equitable it is for this price category.
IMG_20240521_204149.jpg

★ Disclaimer :-

I purchased DS2 dongle dac from Ali express store (Fosi Audio) . So I had no financial agreement with them to promote their product. The entire opinion of this review is totally my personal.

★ Box Content at a Glance :-

The unboxing experience of the device was similar to the other budget dongles. However, as necessary accessories, Type c to type c cable and type c to type A adapter is available, cable quality not the best but what is given cannot be said to be bad in any way, no extra type c to lightning cable is available out of box, If you want to get the benefits of lightning cable, you have to purchase a separate lightning cable.

2. Type c to type c cable ×1

★ Design, Build Quality & Functionality :-

The Fosi Audio DS2 Dongle DAC features a solid build construction with a compact size and durable design. This DAC is constructed by using materials such as durable CNC metal machining and the entire housing is made shock proof. As a result, its finishing has been beautiful as well as hand feel & usability has been added to a different level. It has a small LED indicator on the front side which basically changes to different colors according to the audio sample rate.
This dongle has physical volume control buttons, the placement of which seems appropriate and the button pressing gives fairly tactile feedback. As a budget dongle, there are no issues with the durability of the placement of ports and buttons on it. As I said earlier that it is compact size dac so it will be very compatible with phone, laptop & music player and even can be used without any problem. So I can definitely say that it is truly versatile enough to use.

★ Sound Aspects :-
The DS2's tonality ranged from neutral to slightly warm which added an analog-ish character to the overall sound.

The whole sound presentation was matured, as a budget dongle I did not see any bass or treble roll-off related issue. Even, it does not add much coloration to the sound. it was fairly clean, neutral to warmish type signature.

Also the interesting part of this dongle is the output power as it is capable of delivering (510mw@32Ω) power from its Bal port which is really remarkable from such a budget dongle dac. From regular DD to demanding Planar IEMs & Headphones, everything can be powered up fairly well.

IMG_20240518_125531.jpg

I've used a number of IEMs in my reviews but haven't tested any headphones because I don't think this dongle suitable for demanding headphones drive . I got noticeable distortion whenever I tried to increase the volume level to use IEMs on it. But only in the case of IEMs, it will not cause such a big problem, but according to Fosi audio, the advertised high power output was not fully justified in my opinion.

Let's talk about its bass at the beginning, sub bass to mid bass section was nicely separated & well controlled without any tendency to bloat. However, there is a slight boost in the sub bass region, due to which the hi-hats of snare drum are given extra emphasis, which is not unpleasant to hear. On the other hand, the mid bass has been smoothed a little and warmth has been added, as a result, the definition of the bass notes has become a little weaker. So the heavy hitting sound of the kick drum has suffered a bit.

The mids section was very clean, there was no unwanted boost, so the tone of the artist's voice was very natural. The body of male & female vocal was very nicely represented , there is no problem of making it thin or recessed but the organic character of cirrus logic house sound which is usually observed, in the case of mids was also present here. Thither adds a slight warm to the mids and overall a bit forward to the presentation of mids region.

Treble section condition was quite improved. Electric, acoustic guitar & violin have been able to deliver the sound of string instruments as vibrant and well balanced. I have not noticed any lacks anywhere. Every instrument has been delivered in a very nice smooth manner without making it overly sharp, aggressive or dull. As usually found in Cirrus logic house sound, I found some similarities in the treble performance.

IMG_20240521_122128.jpg
As opposed to, technical aspect was pretty good . Descent amount of detail, micro detail can be found very easily from here and at the same time there was fairly wider sound stage and depth. Imaging can accurately portray and the stereo presentation was solid. So I don't find any major flaw. As an entry level dongle dac, it has technically been able to give better results.

★ Synergy and Power :-

Most of the IEMs had better synergy with the dongle of neutral to warmish sound, moreover, there is no shortage in terms of power output and battery consumption rate is very low. I'm using it with the phone at 50-65% volume level (Bal port). Then its heat management and battery efficiency was very admirable .
Although, Single ended output was also good comparing others dongle, dynamics was somewhat lacking on single ended but nothing to room complain as long it was musical to my ears. However, using too bright sounding IEMs will not give the desired results. I paired my tested gear items with it and got pretty good results especially the IER M9.

IMG_20240520_224752.jpg

Pairing was surprisingly good with m9. IER M9 itself is warmish neutral. Fosi audio ds2 doesn't exhibit any kind of hints of sibilance, that is a positive side of ds2. On the other side ds2 is also slight warmish on nature so the bass and mids on m9 section was slightly smooth with rounded yet exerting enough detail for it's asking price. Bass was little elevated maybe due to its amping design. Imaging and stage was a bit mediocre level. In short ds2 is on smoother side with well-rounded sound that is very suitable for enjoyable listening that many people seek.

★ Comparison :-

~ Moondrop Dawn Pro
(50$)~

Dawn pro basically neutral to slightly bright Sounding dongle dac. It has its own app support and 100 step volume level works very accurately. However, its bal port power output max 120mw but the output power is clean even at full volume and no distortion is found. Moreover, the build quality is low, the physical button pressing feedback is a bit loose and the stock type c to type cable is of very cheap quality.

Vs ~ Fosi Audio DS2 (60$)

DS2 Sound more analog-ish than Dawn pro. At the same time, DS2 is in a better position in Sound stage, Imaging, separation and layering. Moreover, build quality, accessories and button control feedback are slightly better and power output is far ahead compared to dawn pro. But the biggest difference is that the Ds2's sound isn't as more resolving and by no means suitable for heavy demanding gear use as Fosi Audio is advertising. Because when the volume level is increased, noticeable distortion is found in the sound. However, the notes of the sound were quite thick and rounded, so the sound of the full body was obtained, on the other hand, the sound of the Dawn pro was somewhat less musical and weight of the notes was less fuller , but the presentation was completely distortion free.

★ Conclusion :-

The current Dac dongle market is very competitive. Almost all chifi brands use popular off-the-shelf DAC chips and use their in-house R&D and try to attract the audience. Similarly, Fosi audio has launched several products in their affordable price category and DS2 in the 60$ price range will be a very good option for those who like thick and well-rounded sound with a hint of warmth & analogish character. And for those who prefer a bit bright-analytical and highly detailed sound and if the budget is 100$ then EPZ TP50 dongle dac can be an ideal choice for them, so from my side I would suggest buying both for people who are used to different sound signatures.

★ Introduction :-

EPZ is a fairly new Chinese brand that has been widely discussed for manufacturing excellent audio gear in the affordable price category. A few days ago I posted a review of their dongle dac. Today I'm back with a review of their entry level IEM Q1 pro. I bought this IEM from Ali Express just to see if its hype is justified. I will try to highlight all aspects of this IEM in my review. So that it is convenient for you to understand how equitable it is for this price category.

★ Disclaimer :-

I purchased EPZ Q1 Pro IEM from their Ali express store (EPZ). I had no financial agreement with them to promote their product. The entire opinion of this review is completly my personal.

★ Box Content at a Glance :-

The unboxing experience of Q1 pro was similar to the entry level IEM's. All kind of accessories were present out of the box. EPZ has no room to complain in this regard.

1715284550926-01.jpeg

1. A pair of Q1 pro IEMs.
2. Three pairs of eartips of different sizes.
3. very simple carrying pouch.
4. Decent 3.5mm copper cable.
5. User manual guide.

★ Specifications :-

~ Driver :- 10MM dual cavity dual magnetic circuit PU+LCP Liquid crystal molecular dome diaphragm.
~ Impedance :- 32Ω@1kHz
~ Sensitivity :- 110db(±1db)@Vrms
~ Distortion ratio :- <0.5%(@1khz,100db)
~ Frequency response :- 20Hz-20Khz
~ Connector :- 2-pin 0.78mm
~ Cable type :- 4-core LEONI single crystal copper cable with 3.5mm gold plated jack.
~ Cable Length :- 1.2m

★ Design, Build & Comfort :-

The Q1 Pro's shell is made entirely of EPZ's customized 3D printed resin. As it is very lightweight and fits very comfortably in the ear. So it will fit pretty well in everyone's ears, The resin build quality can't be called cheap in any way to me, Although fingerprints remain on the glossy shell it is not obvious. Even if it's an entry level IEM, it never looks like that. Starting from its packaging & the accessories that came with it were also worth appreciating.

IMG_20240516_231520.jpg

Stock cable & 3 pairs of different size eartips were also quite good. The quality of the tips is not very premium, but it is quite soft and seems to be quite usable as stock eartips. Anyone can comfortably spend a lot of time on this IEM. It is undoubtedly ideal for traveling or outdoors. I listened to it continuously for about 3 hours and never felt disturb to the sense of ear balance. Among its most positive aspects, its comfort section will be at the forefront. That's why I enjoyed it for long time.

IMG_20240514_215503.jpg

On the otherhand the stock 3.5mm 4-core LEONI single crystal copper cable was durable, although it creates a bit microphonics sometimes, but this cable does not hampers sound quality. Due to the occasional twisting habit of this cable, EPZ has added a nice locking strap bracket to prevent it from tangling. The cable quality not the best but as a stock cable there is no chance to room complain.

LMC_20240508_111816_🔥 iPhone 14 Ultra Pixel.jpg

★ Sound signature :-

Q1 pro is basically harman or "V" shape tuned set that is budget friendly. The internal configuration of this set has single dynamic drivers which handle the entire sound frequency. The tuning of this IEM is fun & engaging also tonality was neutral in a word. It is safe to say that I did not get any listening fatigue from its sound. I've used stock eartips as well as aftermarket eartips during the sound testing period and it makes a good difference between fit, comfort, isolation and sound. I used Spinfit Cp145 & Kbear 07 eartips which gave me good experience. However, stock eartips do not give bad performance, so listening can be done with them in the initial condition. Since this is a set of "V" shaped tunings, there is naturally more bass and treble emphasis and the mids are a little behind, There is no exception here.

★ Gears used :-

1. Cayin Ru7 (Se & Bal both)
2. Quloos Mc01 (Se & Bal both)
3. Epz Tp50 (Se & Bal both)
4. Fosi Audio Ds2 ~ 2024 (Se & Bal both)

I also tested these by plugging them into the earphone port of my redmi note 12 smartphone.

Epz Q1 pro is a set of 32ohm impedance whose sensitivity level is 110db so no powerful amplification is needed to drive it, but if a good quality dac amp or portable player is used, then it gets scaled up with the source and becomes a bit better sounding.

Now I will discuss the sound in detail, I will start with the Low end of this set, i.e. the bass.....

★ The Bass :-

The Q1 Pro is basically a bit sub bass focused but doesn't get enough rumble. On the other hand, the presence of mid bass was relatively less due to which mid bass punch & texture was not found well. Mid bass character seems to be crippled, at the same time, the delivery of the bass notes can be said to be on the slower side. The lack of bass speed, attack & decay has greatly reduced the enjoyment of the bass section, also the sub bass is slightly disturbing in some tracks. Can be said to have given somewhat disappointing bass performance. Overall, It cannot able to give complete satisfaction to anyone whether they are bass head or non bass head. So the bass performance will be considered as the down side without a doubt.

IMG_20240516_150724.jpg

★ The Mids :-

The appearance of the mid section seems to be quite clean. Upper mids were more forward and even noticed a tendency to become a bit energetic at a times,Female vocals seem more shouty & male vocal somewhat thin . Which is basically more in stock cable but I didn't notice much this problem in upgradable cable. On the other hand, the lower mids were a bit thin which could be considered recessed, I noticed a slight sub bass bleed with the lower mids which aggrieved the quality of midrange tonality. But not too much bother wthout extreme mids lover, this thinner mids will not cause a big problem and can be enjoyed fairly well.

★ The Treble :-

Treble section was a bit bright but i didn’t get any aggressiveness , can be said that it was fairly smooth. Detail retrieval is also clean, but I found a little sibilance on some tracks. Although the lower treble is fine, but the upper treble does not seem to be extended enough, so the full energy and sparkle of the treble cannot be obtained from here. Hopefully this won't cause too much of problem except for very treble sensitive people. However, if it is used in a warm sounding source, there is no sibilance in the treble, then almost everyone can enjoy its treble.

IMG_20240514_215503.jpg

★ Technicalities :-

The staging & imaging of this IEM was below average as the other competitors in this price category, could not offer anything special in technical aspect. Its sound stage was a little on the intimate side, i mean out of the head type presentation. I found the depth of the stage to be good. At the same time, imaging & stereo separation are fairly good. The placement, positioning and layering of instruments are slightly ahead of the average. The macro & micro details were quite lean which is normal to get from an IEM of this entry budget category, So there is no chance to make a big complaint.

LMC_20240508_111709_🔥 iPhone 14 Ultra Pixel.jpg

Overall rating out of 5 is what I would give 👇

Bass : 3/5
Mids : 3.8/5
Treble : 3.5/5
Technicalities : 3/5
Build & Astheatics : 4/5

★ Conclusion :-

Various chifi brands are launching their IEMs in the affordable price category which has created a very competitive market. Many people are interested in entry level IEMs who are looking for single dd IEMs for regular usage and think about comfort so that they can be used for a long time, I think Q1 pro will be more suitable. Considering its design, light weight build & overall sound performance, So it is not far behind its competitors. If someone is not very treble sensitive and does not give priority to gaming then I can easily recommend it to them.

★ Box Content at a Glance :-

1. TP50 dongle dac x1

2. Type-C to type c cable x1

3. User manual card x1

The unboxing experience of the device was similar to the other budget dongles. However, as necessary accessories, Type c to type c cable is available, cable quality not the best but what is given cannot be said to be bad in any way, but there is no type c to type A adapter, which can be called a downside, and no extra type c to lightning cable is available out of box, If you want to get the benefits of lightning cable, you have to purchase a separate lightning cable version.

★ Design, Build Quality & Functionality :-

The EPZ TP50 dongle DAC is constructed by using materials such as durable CNC metal and carbon fiber for its casing. These materials provide a balance between lightweight design and sturdy construction, making the device suitable for portable use while maintaining good durability. The side frame of the device is made of CNC metal and the front-back part is completely surrounded by carbon fiber panel. These materials provide a balance between lightweight design and sturdy construction, while maintaining good durability, making the device suitable for portable use.The use of carbon fiber as the construction material of such a budget DAC dongle is really commendable. It has a small led display on the front where you can find facilities like volume level, sound filter and gain option. Although the display is not so bright, As a result, some problems have to be faced to operate outdoors.

★ Sound Aspects :-

TP50
is basically a dongle dac with neutral to slightly bright tonality. However, many may find it analytical as its sound filter is not that effective. Its two filters are the "Slow PC" and the Slow "LL" which create some variation in the sub-bass region, while the rest of the filters are not so handy but the "Non Os" filter tends to make the overall sound more analytical. The tonality then shifts towards colder and the notes of music seem very thin and lifeless as a result the musicality is lost. But the interesting part of it is its output power as it is capable of delivering (240mw@32Ω) power from its Bal port which is really remarkable from such a budget dongle dac. I've been able to drive all the IEMs I've used with this dongle to full potential during my review, never feeling like the power output was lacking. I believe it can even drive moderately demanding headphones. Although there is no chance of getting full dynamics. However, it does not add much coloration to the sound, it is completely clean and neutral. Talking about its Bass, I can say that it can maintain very good control from sub bass to mid bass section at the same time Bass texture, speed & decay was fast enough. However, I expected a little better depth of bass region, which could have been enjoyed a little more. Although moving to "Slow PC" filter gives a slight boost to the sub bass region, then the appearance of the lower mids is slightly disturbed. On the other hand, the mids section was very clean & forward. The male and female artist's vocal can be represented very well but the vocal section is not very engaging because the presentation of the mids has lost its naturalness while ensuring more transparency there. Although the mids don't feel recessed, if the mids section adds a bit more warmth, then all genres seemed to sound more enjoyable.

1715322049929-01.jpeg

After that the treble region was more resolving & well extended. Where there are detailed and well-texured high frequency offerings. This can improve the overall listening experience, especially for all genres that rely on complex treble detail, such as classical or jazz music. If all the instruments that are usually played in the treble section are thicker and rounded, the treble part would regain its fullness.

It has given solid performance in technical aspect . I got a lot of micro and macro details from here. The height of its sound stage was a little intimate but the depth was good and at the same time I was able to locate the placement & positioning of the instruments very well. Those who think about critical listening will definitely benefited from here.

IMG_20240508_103841.jpg

★ Comparison :-

~ EPZ TP50 (109$)
vs Fosi Audio DS2 - Cirrus Logic Edition (59$) ~

DS2's
tonality was neutral to slightly warm with minimal coloration. The positive side of its sound is thick and rounded note weight and there was no roll-off in the bass & treble region. The sound stage seems to be a big strength of it. Because the height is quite big and the depth is good. At the same time, the imaging is also quite good. But its sound is not so resolving. Although Fosi audio claims that its Bal output is 510mw, but in my testing this does not seem fully justified. Because I got noticeable distortion from here when I turned up the volume level. If the sound could be refined a little more, this would be a killer deal for many undoubtedly, but I don't have any big complaints about the $60 dongle dac.

IMG_20240509_193143.jpg

On the other hand, the TP50 is completely opposite in terms of sound signature, its sound is neutral-bright although it has some inbuilt sound filters which change the sound slightly, but it will be considered as flat neutral sounding. Where the musicality is less but the sound seems highly technical and somewhat thinner. There is no distortion, clean & clear back ground floor with descent power output, it has managed to hold a good position. Its main differences with DS2 are in these areas, because DS2's sound is not so resolving as it is. In terms of staging, DS2 has shown better performance compared to TP50 and imaging is not too far behind. I believe the DS2 will hold up well enough for its price. All in all, DS2 is a solid choice for those who prefer fun musical sound and have a low budget. Moreover, TP50 is an ideal choice for flat neutral lovers .

IMG_20240509_134035.jpg

★ Conclusion :-

EPZ TP50
dongle dac will be far ahead due to its sound, build & compact size. It has managed to maintain a strong position in the 100$ price category. If someone likes highly technical & analytical sound in such a budget then I can easily recommend it for them. But those who are used to fun & colored sound signature will keep it away from their choice list.

New Head-Fier
Hidizs Sd2 (An affordable sound game changer)
Pros: ~ Very durable and quite compact in size
~ warm & engaging Sounding device
~ Good power output from this form factor (70mw@32Ω)
~ Battery consumption rate was quite low
~ Good technicalities are offered for the price
~ Low background noise floor
Cons: ~ Absence of physical volume control button
~ Only suitable for IEMs (Not for hard to drive)
~ Airy extension of the treble is somewhat lacking
~ Dynamic punch was a bit thin
~ not very suitable for neutral lovers
~ design seems a bit cheap (subjective)
★ Introduction :-

Hidizs
has been launching their audio gear for a long time in the market. I believe that they've managed to maintain a fairly strong position in the affordable price category. They almost all dac amp and dap are basically Ess based . But some of these dac amps like S9 pro red copper and S9 pro plus Martha have a good reputation. Sd2 dongle is their new budget friendly offering with Ess dac chip is used in this device. I'll try to highlight all aspects of the device in my review.

# Disclaimer :-

At the beginning of the review I would like to thank Hidizs for sending me the Sd2 dongle. I've no financial agreement with Hidizs for this review, so my opinion is completely personal.

★ Box content at a glance :-

The packaging of the Sd2 dongle was quite satisfactory because the necessary accessories are available out of the box so there is no need to buy anything extra.

★ Design & Build Quality :-

The construction material of the Sd2 dongle is made of plastic composite , but this plastic build looks a bit cheap when held in the hand. But its side frame has been given a very nice finishing and hidizs branding on both sides along with a small led indicator which basically lights up in different colors based on the sample rate, but the interesting thing is that the device is very compact in size so it fits very well with the type c port of the phone and can be kept in the pocket when connected to the phone. It is advised to use it carefully while traveling or there is possibility of breaking the type c port of the phone.

★ IEMs Used :-

~ Simgot EA1000

~ Hidizs MP145

~ Dunu Kima Classic

~ Hidizs MS1 Galaxy

~ Qoa Gimlet

~ Simgot Ew100p

★ Sound Aspect :-

Sd2 is basically warm sounding dongle dac. Yes, exactly! The warm sound signature of the Sd2 dongle DAC can complement neutral or bright IEMs nicely, providing a balanced sound performance. However, it may not deliver optimal performance with headphones due to its limited driving capability. The IEMs that I've driven this dongle have shown good performance, even without having to worry about the power output, it has been able to drive all of them with full potential. The thing that was most noticeable after plugging the earphone into the device was the sound stage and separation. It was able to deliver each musical note with a fair amount of weight without any notes sitting on top of the others, But it doesn't overpower the instruments and doesn't feel dull. That's why sound quality seems to be intact. But its sound has a lot of fun factor, basically it provides bass boosted sound where texture is lacking i.e. increases the bass thump more. However, this was more noticeable in the case of bass heavy tracks, where there was a lot of excess but lack of quality.
The mids of Sd2 are usually quite clean & detailed and seem a bit forward, but here I noticed a tendency to make the body of the mids a little thin in the presentation of both male and female vocals. I believe they will be unhappy if given priority to mids.
Its treble section seems to strike a balance between cleanliness and aggression, but the absence of sparkle can be a drawback for those who prefer a more vibrant treble experience. It caters well to treble sensitive people but may not be to everyone's taste.
The biggest strength of the device would be its technicalities which make it quite admirable at this price. Its staging was wide and at the same time the depth was very good also imaging was excellent because it can accurately portray the motion nature of each instrument and even small micro and macro details without any problem. So those who are gamers, they'll be more benifited from here undoubtedly.Only the issue of dynamics seems to be a shortcoming. If it was a bit thicker, then a fuller bodied sound would have been obtained. In one word, the height and weight of the notes of the sound can be expressed very well.

PSX_20240308_190617 (1).jpg

PSX_20240308_191141 (1).jpg

★ Comparison :-

~ Tanchjim space lite
(45$) vs Hidizs Sd2 (40$)~

The Space Lite offers a balanced and neutural sound signature with excellent clarity and detail retrieval. The bass is tight and well-controlled, providing a solid foundation without overpowering the mids and highs. The mids are smooth and articulate, rendering vocals and instruments with accuracy and realism. The highs are crisp and extended, adding sparkle and air to the overall sound With the ability to create an excellent sound stage. However, I noticed some weakness in the imaging capability and micro details seemed a bit weak. On the other hand, Sd2 provides a balanced blend of bass emphasis and good treble extension, However, Sd2's imaging was precise with the presence of descent micro details which would put it a step ahead of tanchjim space lite,Although power output is higher than sd2 (98mw@32Ω) but if someone prefers almost neutral tonality and gives more priority to mids, bass and treble are almost on point then space lite is for them. The Sd2 is an ideal choice for those who like fun and engaging, bass heavy sound signature.

IMG_20240308_182841 (1).jpg

PSX_20240308_183525 (1).jpg

★ Conclusion :-

The dongle dac market is currently very competitive. Most of the chifi brands that have popular off-the-shelf DAC chips are using their own philosophy to bring good dongles to the market. Hidizs is also on their list. Sd2 basically ess based dac, its sound is not sharp or aggressive like ess house sound, sound wise it has given warmish & musical tonality at the same time compact size has made its usability easier. Sd2 will be an excellent option for those who are looking for a good warm sounding dongle dac at an affordable price and those who give importance to portability more, It will satisfy them well.

Tanchjim space lite is a dac dongle in very affordable price category ($45). Earlier tanchjim space dac dongle came in the market which showed good performance considering the price even though the device had 3.5 & 4.4 both output and also cost around 100$. But recently they have launched this space lite (3.5mm) in a very interesting price category ($45). I will try to highlight all aspects of the device in my review. So that it is convenient for you to understand how justified it is for the price.

★ Design & Build Quality :-

Tanchjim space
and space lite both have similar build material. TANCHJIM Space Lite dongle features a sleek and stylish design with a aluminum alloy frame that is durable and resistant to external interferences. Tanchjim's branding is engraved on the front of the device and space lite is written on the back which looks quite stylish. On the other hand copper silver plated wire core is used as the fixed cable material of the device through which the power supply is done inside the DAC circuit. This fixed cable did not disappoint because the durability was quite good and at the same time it was very small in size and seemed to be suitable for use anywhere. It is able to provide plug & play type performance in any situation.

IMG_20231101_121621.jpg

PSX_20231101_122317.jpg

★ Synergy & Power :-

The device is fully neutral sounding with slight coloration, but the interesting thing is that it is offering good power output from such a small form factor. It is capable of driving 105mw@16Ω as well as regular 98mw@32Ω from easy to drive IEMs to fairly demanding IEMs. Although this dac dongle is capable of driving many earphones, it cannot drive full size headphones because its power output is not that strong. However, some DD headphones will be suitable for headphones such as the Phillips Shp9500 type. However, its pairing is not very good with earphones below 16 ohm, so it is better not to use it. But many will consider using the Final E3000 with it, it will perform well there as well. I've tried several dd IEMs and a few planar IEMs with it and it drives pretty well. However, since it is a neutral sounding dac dongle, the best pairing is possible if it is used with warm, neutral type earphones. If the earphone is a little bright sounding, then I will not use it because the brightness of those earphones will become a little more enchance, then it will be difficult to listen. For example I can talk about letshouer s12 pro which is basically bright "V"set, if you can drive it, it makes the sound signature a bit brighter. But if one has a warm/neutral type sounding IEM in their arsenal then they will undoubtedly benefit the most from this. The sound of this dac dongle has a little coloration, that is, there is a touch of typical cirrus logic house sound. It brings a slight boost to the upper midrange section and at the same time adds warmth to the mids forward a bit, due to which the mids section sounds more pleasing while the clarity of the mids remains intact. It doesn't create any disturbance that degrades the natural presentation, it's fairly clear and the enjoyed with a little warm, On the other hand it has delivered decent treble performance

★ IEMS Used :-

~ kiwi ears Orchestra lite

~ softwares volume

~ Dunu kima classic

~ Letshouer X GIZAUDIO Galileo

~ Kinera Celest Phoenixcall

★ Sound Aspects :-

The device supports sample rate of 32 bit 768khz, so you can understand that starting from Pcm up to Dsd 256 support can be easily found here, which is a very good option for daily usage, at the same time stereo separation was also very good. On the other hand, its distortion ratio is also very low, I have run it at full volume so there is no distortion. I have used it on my phone and pc for a long time and have not had any problem with overheating. Moreover, it consumes very little power during use, the brand claims that its power consumption rate is 0.5w, which has been confirmed in my testing. Tanchjim has been able to handle heat management very well here so good job tanchjim.

Now I will discuss the sound in detail....

IMG_20231101_121553.jpg

When you start listening to the sound by plugging the earphone into the device, the first thing you will notice is the sound stage and separation, it is able to create a good separation. The impact of the bass hits very deeply and there is a slight boost, but due to this, the notes of the bass are not damaged, the small and large notes can be heard clearly. Not that it portrays precisely, but it seems that it has been able to give as much as is available from such a form factor. On the other hand, the mids section has the goodness of cirrus logic because it boosts the upper mids a little bit and forwards the overall mids a little bit, which is also present here. Many people may think its treble is a little smooth, but this is not a big problem because this smooth effect is there to maximize the treble of the earphone. The treble section has a good amount of sparkle without harshness, so the enjoyment of the treble lasts for a long time. By default the extension of treble can hold very well and can create a good separation between small and large instruments. As the upper treble or airy extension was good, the lower treble and the full presentation were able to be represented very cleanly. However, if the treble section of one's IEMs is boosted more, then using it with it will bring harshness which can even create fatigue. At the same time dynamics and macro dynamics were of mediocre level and separation, layering and movement were nothing extraordinary or not bad considering this form factor and price category. Although not up to the mark in technical performance, it can be said that there was a descent. The staging was quite wide, so the earphones you are staging in will benefit more from here. However, I am not very happy with the imaging because it does not portray the instruments precisely and seems to be an average capability. But it would be foolish to expect more from such a price segment.

PSX_20231101_142139.jpg

★ Conclusion :-

Currently there are many options in the market at sub 50$ although its price is 45$ now. This device will be more acceptable to those whose budget is below 50$ and even those whose regular needs will be met with such a single end output. But it is said that there are many more options in the market especially many chifi brands have "Ess" based dac dongle available which are offering better power output but their sound is harsh, sharp or aggressive in most cases space lite has a good position from that side. The device offers a full bodied sound presentation with descent power output. So in conclusion those who are thinking of buying it can definitely buy it and will have a buy recommendation from my side. Hope it will not disappoint you considering the price from any angle.

Pros: ~ Comfortable & light weight polycarbonate shell

~ good sub bass rumble mid bass punch

~ warm & engaging "V" shape tuning

~ Non fatiguing & safe treble performance for the price

~ Satisfactory stock cable and accessories

~ An ideal dd set for beginners
Cons: ~ Depth of the stage could have been better

★ Introduction : -

Hidizs is a well-known name in the chifi
world. They are quite popular in making
portable audio gear. They have some hit
products which have played a helpful
role in increasing their reputation.
Portable music players include Ap80,
Ap80 pro & pro X which have received
more acceptance among audiophile
persons, amplifiers like S9, S9 pro, S8,
XO are no exception, besides they have
some popular IEMs like - Mermaid MS1,
MS2, The recently discussed Planar IEM
MP145 along with MS3, MS4, MD4 has
gained a lot of reputation. But the topic
of today's review is Hidizs
MS1Galaxy which is a dual dd IEM of
Hidizs which is very affordable price
category.

# Disclaimer :- I have no financial agreement with "Hidizs" for this review, so my opinion is completely personal.
★ Looks & Design :-

The design of the IEM was also very nice looking , the device is available in 4 different color variants namely - black, red, blue & transparent color (Each color has L, R marking on the front of the earphone) . The single dynamic driver of 10.2mm inside can be seen from the front of each color variant and at the back all of them have the usual hidizs branding. My unit is of blue colour but personally I like the transparent color more.

★ Build & Comfort :-

Hidizs MS1 Galaxy is an entry level IEM so I don't expect anything extraordinary from its build quality. It also feels like all other IEMs in the sub 20$ price category. However, according to hidizs, they claim to have used High-Density German Makrolon Resin to make the shell of the earphone. Although the build doesn't seem very shaky to me, I believe it will support you for a long time if you use it with care. But the shell of this IEM is very light, if the ears are fit with the right size eartips, then it will not feel that there is any IEM in the ears. So I am sure about this matter that no one will face any problem with ear fit. Moreover, out of the box there are a few pairs of eartips of different sizes which I found quite usable. On the other hand, not to mention the stock cable, it was so nice that I couldn't even imagine that such a budget earphone would come with Silver-Plated Oxygen-Free 2 core braided copper cable.

I also tested these by plugging them into the earphone port of my redmi note 12 smartphone.

# Ms1 galaxy is a set of 32ohm impedance whose sensitivity level is 108db so no powerful amplification is needed to run it, but if a good quality dac amp or portable player is used, then it gets scaled up with the source and becomes a bit better sounding.

★ Sound impression :-

MS1 Galaxy is basically a set of "V" shape tuned set that is pocket friendly. The internal configuration of this set has single dynamic drivers which handle the entire sound frequency. The tuning of this IEM is fun & engaging, the tonality is warm and lush in a word. There is no extra emphasis on any frequency due to which there is no listening fatigue when listening for a long time which seems to be a very positive aspect according to this price. I have used stock eartips as well as aftermarket eartips during the sound testing period and it makes a good difference between fit, comfort and sound. I used Cp145 & Cp100+ eartips which gave me good experience. So if anyone has such eartips, then you can change the tips and hopefully you will be benefited. However, stock eartips do not give very bad performance, so listening can be done with them in the initial condition. Since this is a set of "V" shape tuning, you can understand that there is more bass and treble emphasis and the mids will be a little behind, so there is no exception here. Below is a sample image of frequency response for your understanding, hopefully you will get a good idea.

# Now
I will discuss the sound in detail, I will start with the big strength Low end of this set, i.e. the bass......

★ The Bass :-

Bass section is a strong point of this IEM, the extension from sub bass to mid bass was very good so both sub bass rumble and mid bass punch can be heard very well. With the extreme punch of mid bass, it is able to create a fairly clear environment where the attack of the bass is strong but does not hamper any other sound frequency. Therefore, in the bass section, the instruments with the kick of the bass guitar, drum pedal, whose impact is very deep, but the notes were clear. However, in most of the tracks, I have seen the bass texture decrease, which is normal for such an earphone. But the warm frenzy that the bass offers will be more acceptable to many bass lovers.

★ The Mids :-

Mid range is not too bad for me although its position is a bit towards the back. However, the mids seem a little recessed to me, so the mid section is a bit thinner side, that is, the contrast of the singer's voice has deviated, as a result, the natural presentation of the vocal has been disturbed. However, it can be said that the throat tone, breath and movement of male & female vocal were fairly good, but the male vocal seemed to be a little better than the female vocal. On the other hand, the warm invitation of the entire mids combined with the sustain gives a smooth presentation that doesn't sound bad. So despite being a bit bass heavy, there is not much room for complaints about the mids.

PSX_20231112_214113.jpg

★ The Treble :-

I am a bit unhappy with the treble performance because the treble is somewhat smooth. This smoothening thing hampers the full body of the treble a little so that the sparkle of the treble is not felt in the ear and at the same time the vibrant image of the string instruments of the guitar is not blown. However, this type of treble only bothers treble head people, but on the other hand, treble sensitive people will get more acceptance. By doing this, those who are used to listening more to instrument heavy genre like hard rock or heavy metal will get okay type performance from here. However, since there is not much boost in the treble section, I did not notice any unwanted harshness or shoutyness, the overall smooth treble delivery was as a result, I did not like the lack of engagement in the treble region.

★ Technicalities :-

The staging & imaging of the IEM was the same as the others in this price category, but could not offer anything special. The sound stage was a little bigger than the average, i mean out of the head type presentation. This made the notes playing in the stage come together and limit the feeling of expansion on the upper side. This made the stage's wideness & depth decrease a little, making the stage seem small. Separation & layering in instrument heavy genres was fairly standard. I got 2D effect in its staging , at the same time imaging can be called average, as a result gaming will not very good naturally. When I used it while playing a bullet force game I had difficulty understanding the positioning of the opponent At the same time, I cannot locate the direction of the gun shot precisely, so it will not be an ideal choice for gaming. So if gaming is priority, it is better to go to other options.

# Overall rating out of 5 is what I would give it👇👇
Bass : 4.2/5

Mids : 3.8/5

Treble : 3.5/5
Technicalities : 3/5

★ Comparison :-
~ Ms1 galaxy Vs Ew100p(20$) ~

The sound signature of the Simgot Ew100p is good to that of the ms1 galaxy in many ways. Although Ew100p is priced at 20$ but ms1 galaxy is priced between 16-17$ but it has some strengths which are better than Ew100p in some aspects despite the price being slightly lower. Now if I discuss the sound side by side with Ew100p then ms1 galaxy will advance in some aspects, the most advanced in the bass section because the big down side of ew100p was mid bass section on the other hand bass section is a strong part of ms1 galaxy, sub bass & mid bass both were better compared to Ew100. On the other hand, mids were slightly better than ms1 galaxy. However, it cannot be called the most fuller mids, the presentation is slightly recessed, but it will be a little ahead of the Ew100p. However, the mids presentation of ew100p was quite clean & crispy compared to ms1 galaxy . Now there is treble part where none of the two sets can deliver outstanding performance. If, i talk about the treble of Ew100p, then I will say that its treble was slightly dark type, besides, its treble may be considered a bit dry by many people, but it is foolish to think so. It seems to have somesparkle and accuracy than ms1 galaxy . On the other hand, it can be said that the treble part of Ms1 galaxy was a bit smooth where the treble is not very harmonious because this smooth effect presented the whole treble in a different form where there was no natural presentation at all at the same time of all the instruments that play in the treble section. There is a lack of quality which is mainly organized due to lack of airy extension. However, treble sensitive people will like Ms1 Galaxy more, while those who like treble will not find any of the two sets very ideal but Ew100p will be slightly ahead of ms1 galaxy in treble section . On the other hand, staging, imaging & separation were average of both. In this case, none of the two can give best performance, so there is not much discussion about them in my opinion.

PSX_20231112_235420.jpg

~ Ms1 galaxy vs Tinhifi C0 Elf (detachable version) ~

Elf C0 is another offering in 20$ price category, it is also open back single dd IEM with "V"shape tuning. This set is eartips sensitive to a large extent, at the same time its treble is very bright, which creates fatigue in case of long time listening on the other hand mids are more recessed, moreover, it takes more power to drive compared to Ms1 galaxy and the lack of resolution is also high. On the other hand Ms1 galaxy is very easy to drive set. So in my opinion Ms1 galaxy is more suitable for daily usage.

IMG_20231113_095351_471.jpg

★ Conclusion :-

Sub 20$ price category is very competitive, there are various chifi brands offering in this category. Since then, I have personally used several IEMs, so considering all aspects, the two sets seem to be quite good to me, so I presented the two sets in a side by side comparison review so that it is convenient for you to make a purchase decision. Now talking about who will buy this earphone? It can be an ideal choice for those who are new to join this hobby and whose budget is under 20$ and looking for fun "v" shape sounding IEM and treble sensitive at the same time. I would recommend buying it if you are not used to such a sound signature.

New Head-Fier
Simgot Ew100p (New contender for 20$)
Pros: ~ Light weight and comfortable shell.
~ Slightly warm and musical midrange tonality.
~ Fatigue free smooth treble performance.
~ Separation , and staging is fairly good in the price category.
~ It gives overall admirable sound performance considering the price point.
Cons: ~ Somewhat thin midrange tonality. (common problem of harman target or "V" shape tuning)
~ not the best detail retrieval set.
~ lacks airy extension of treble.
~ Bass lacks deep impact and lacks texture.
~ average technical performance.
Introduction :-

20230712_145207.jpg

_20230712_145608.jpg

Simgot is a well-known name in the audio marketplace, although simgot is a Chinese brand, they have launched several products in the market, which has also increased their reputation to a large extent. Their recently launched EA500 IEM created a lot of hype and has been accepted as a true value for money device. However, the topic of today's review is Simgot EW100P, which is a very low budget category ($20) earphone.

★ Note :-
EW 100P being a very low price category's earphone, its stock eartips are not very convenient, so I have used final audio E-series black eartips in my full review, which gave better sound with this earphone. Also, if you want, you can use spinfit w1 eartips. So eartips rolling must for better result.

20230712_154151.jpg

Build & comfort :-

The build quality of Simgot EW 100P is nothing extraordinary, its shell is made of fully polycarbonate and the gold plate area with the branding of Simgot at the back is made of aluminum alloy only. However, the whole shell has been given a glossy finish, which generally looks a bit attractive, but when you hold it in your hand, it gives a cheap feeling. However, the entire IEM shell is made of polycarbonate and is very light weight, so it keep in ear for long time . By doing this, there is no chance of any ear problem at all. On the other hand, to say something about the stock cable & eartips that come with it, I will say that the eartips that comes are average grade, but its stock cable is quite commendable because the cable is silver foil shielded detachable woven copper cable which is pretty good considering the price point.
Although the structure of the cable is a bit thin, but the cable does not create unwanted microphonics and I believe that the cable will last for a long time. Besides, the 0.78mm 2 pin connector of the cable is very strongly attached to the IEM, even if you hold the connector point of the cable and pull it lightly, it is not possible to open it easily from IEM and that is very good thing.

Specifications :-

~ Driver : 10mm high-performance dual-cavity dynamic driver ( LCP diaphragms)
~ Impedance: 32 ohm
~ Sensitivity: 122dB/Vrms (@1kHz)
~ Distortion ratio: THD<1%(@1kHz)
~ Frequency response: 5Hz-45kHz
~ Connector: 2-pin 0.78mm

Sound Impression :-

Ew 100p basically harman target 2016's sound signature and sound is produced with 2 Lcp dynamic drivers in the device, two drivers handle full frequency of sound together. However, despite harman target tuning, the bass section of the device was relatively weak, which will disappoint many bass head people. For your convenience, I have given the graph below, which I think will give you a better idea.

PSX_20230712_232252.jpg

Credit : audio discourse

★ Now at first start the bass......

★ Bass :-

The bass section of the device is not so strong because the deep impact of the mid bass punch cannot be felt. However, the sub bass has a good weight & height due to which a decent rumble is obtained. At the same time, the notes of the high hat of drum pedal & bass guitar are not so precise, but their existence can be found. So I used final e-series black tips with this IEM which boosted up the mid bass of this set a bit and made the bass more enjoyable.

_20230710_115403.jpg

★ Mids :-

The IEM's midrange tonality was well balanced and neutral, though naturally a bit forward. The midrange has a nice body and a decent amount of texture, but the surprising thing was that the mids were quite clean, as a result of which the male & female vocals were able to show off their crafting quite nicely. Although its mids will not be the best or I will not say, but it has given quite satisfactory results compared to other competitors in the 20$ price category, on the other hand, the mids were slightly thin, which is a common problem of harman target tuning. All in all, I think the mids or vocal section will not make the listeners very unhappy.

20230712_153210.jpg

★ Treble :-

Treble is nothing extraordinary but the delivery of treble can be said to be quite good. Its dual dd driver handles treble fairly well. Although the treble is not very detailed, there is no unwanted harshness or sharpness found here, but little amount of sparkle was there, so I got a modarate texture that naturally represents the quality of the treble. Although there is some jitter in the higher frequency which I would say is normal considering the price I think overall treble performance can be enjoyed fairly but treble head people will not be satisfied with it I am pretty sure.

_20230710_115403.jpg

★ Technicalities :-

Technical performance was similar to others of 20$ but could not give anything outstanding. On the one hand, the imaging was weak and the resolution and clarity were okay. It is not very convenient for gaming, so it is not for those who are looking for earphones for playing games, because the depth and height of the stage is a little tight, so the precise positioning of the opponent is not visible during gaming. Moreover, the separation & layering was also of mediocre level, so there is nothing special to say about the technicality of this set.

20230712_144009.jpg

Overall rating out of 5 is what I would give it👇👇👇

Mids : 3.8/5
Bass : 3.2/5
Treble : 4/5
TECHNICALITIES: 7.5/10

★ Conclusion :-

Simgot Ew 100p can be a good option considering the price for those who are looking for IEM under 20$ just for music listening. But the device has some lacks which I have already discussed, if someone likes its harman target sound signature and wants a daily use earphone with a budget around 20$ then this would be a solid recommendation from my side.

New Head-Fier
Tanchjim Tanya Dsp ( New competitor at an affordable price)
Pros: ~‍ Descent build quality ( that is made of polycarbonate and aluminum alloy)
~ Traditional bullet like shape shell design ( which is very light weight)
~ Comfortable to wear for a long time without any pain. ( For this it will be more suitable for many)
~ Good bass response & safe treble performance.
~ very lush midrange tonality.
Cons: ~ Average isolation.
~ Staging needed to be wider.
~ Not suitable for the instrument's heavy genre.
~ Separation & layering needed to be better.
~ Average technical performance.
~ Stock eartips aren't good ( eartips rolling must)
~ Many may consider this fixed cable as a problem. ( subjective )
Introduction :-

Tanchjim is a well-known name in the international earphone market. Like other brands, the reputation of Tanchjim's products is quite high. But the topic of today's review is the Tanchjim tanya dsp which is one of the low priced earphones in tanchjim's lineup, currently priced between $20 - $24 so I think it will be on the wish list of many.

20230620_171446.jpg

_20230620_171320.jpg

★Build & Comfort :-

It can be said that the build quality of the
earphone was decent. The upper part of its shell is made of aluminum alloy and
the front part with the nozzle is made of
polycarbonate and the rear side of the IEM is semi open back type design and bullet-like shape earphone
was very light weight and comfortable, so there is no possibility of ear
heaviness or ear pain even if used for a long time and its 4N oxygen-free non-detachable copper cable isn't too bad.
Kevlar shaft core and Litz structure type coating is provided due to which the
cable is very soft, durable & tangle free. There is one button microphone with the
cable which will give descent performance in case of phone call.
But since this is a low-cost earphone, the
accessories that came with it were also of very average quality. Especially the
eartips that came with it were not very good. So it would be advisable to use
Spinfit's cp100+ or cp145 with it. I used cp145 with it throughout my review
which gave better results.

20230620_135422.jpg

Now Let's talk about the sound ……........

★ Bass :-

The bass section of the earphone is one
of its good points. It has a little boost of mid bass due to which the thump of mid
bass hits deep into the ear and at the same time the rumble of sub bass is
also available. Drum's pedal's high hat,
bass guitar's notes sound a bit serious. But the quantity was more than the
quality of mid bass. Honestly, if the texture & depth of the bass could have
been better, then the bass heavy genre would have been more enjoyable. But
those who think bass is more important, it will not be too bad, they will enjoy it, it
can be said without a doubt.

1687307850944.jpg

★ Mids :-

The mids of this earphone will be its
strongest part. Its male vocal & female vocal are both more commendable but
the female vocal was superb. The mids section has a slight warmth & relaxing
feel which is ideal for long listening sessions. Hopefully those who are mids
lovers will have a lot of fun using it. For example, I enjoyed the mids of this
earphone a lot when I was listening to a
track of /Indie genre - "good company".

★ Treble :-

Treble was a bit on the brighter side, on
the other hand the presence of the treble region has a noticeable rise in the
upper mids, which makes the sound quality of vocals and some engagement
of instruments more engaging. However, although the treble is a bit
bright, I did not find any distortion in the treble section. In the treble section, you
can hear the response of all the instruments playing, and at the same
time, the treble was sparkling and noticeable, but there is not much energy
in the treble. I believe there will be no
happiness.

20230620_134936.jpg

★ TECHNICALITIES :-

Tanya dsp is a very low price set so one cannot expect good technical
performance from it and this is no exception. Its sound stage was narrow,
staging depth, height & weight was poor. Besides, its dynamic punch was very
compressed and imaging was also not very good so gamers will not get a very
good result from here during gaming. The main reason for such average
technicalities is that the SNR or signal-to-noise ratio of cable with built-in DAC
is very high. As a result, the dynamic range is greatly reduced and all
instruments seem to play at the same
volume.

20230620_155337.jpg

★ Conclusion :-

Tanya dsp is a solid choice of normal
users. Although it has some shortcomings as an affordable price
category earphones, on the other hand it has several strengths. I believe that the
slightly harman target sound will be liked by the low price. So for those who
are looking for an earphone for regular usage and whose main priority is
listening to music and making phone calls (the earphone has one button
microphone with the cable), it can be a very good option at a low price. So those
who are thinking about buying a type c earphone can keep this in mind. For the
convenience of your purchase,
