Pros: Build is both elegant and solid, the cups are comfortable for long usage.
Cons: Flat tuning may not be for everyone. nothing else at its price point.
The packaging is environmentally friendly and simple. Inside is the headphones, a cable and stereo adapter.
The HW501 are very nice looking for a set of headphones under $100 and made of mostly wood and metal. the pads are comfortable for long use and easily changed out. the cable is dual 3.5mm to single 3,5mm so its not difficult to find a replacement.

Sound:
At first notice the ALABS are very neutral, Bass is linear with good speed and details, the MIds have good body and are forward and centered, the highs are detailed and drop off quickly but still have enough sparkle with good air.
The soundstage is above average for a closed back and accurate with good overall separation from the 50mm driver.
I think people looking for this type of signature will find these a great value.
My afterthoughts:
The ALABS HW501 is a true studio monitor and does a great job at presenting a natural and well defined true sound, the build is exceptional for the cost, and I love the look.
