Well that is strange - the app is upscaling to the mojo and somehow downscaling to the KA17. Is the fiio app on the apple device and connecting to the KA17 without any problems?

I know - but both 48khz and 96khz are hires 24bit. Much like Amazon music HD you'll only find around 5% of the catalogue that actually offers 24 bit 192khz files. Most are 24bit 48khz/96khz on both platforms

What colour marble did you get on the chord mojo? If your apple hires content was downloaded rather than streamed it should have lit up green indicating 96khz. I believe streamed apple hires content is 48khz. Have you downloaded a hires file locally to test on both devices?
