Amp for Auduze lcd2 classic
I enjoy listening to my ifi neo idsd with lcd2 and lcd x both closed back though. I got the ifi power x power supply, balanced head phone cables from Customcans.co.uk and listen to Amazon music HD from my laptop connected with usb. The dac/amp does not leave me thinking that the headphones...- jamiejmuk

MMCX bluetooth adapter for active lifestyle?
I've had the Shure TW1's for a few years. I am very happy with them. They stay in place when I use the rowing machine at the gym. No hissing even with very low impedance IEMS. The only issue I have is that when making a phone call audio is only through the right channel, but this not a...- jamiejmuk

Replacement for ES100
I have an ES100 which I love for its lightweight, I can clip it onto my shirt to get a good listening experience for music and it is convenient for taking phone calls. I have a BTR5 which offers a better listening experience but is much heavier and ends up in a pocket making it much less...- jamiejmuk

Recommendations please! DAC/headphone amp with Bluetooth
I have an xDuoo xd-05 balanced which I would describe a luggable. I didn't get on with the Bluetooth initially, but I think that was be cause it was being swamped by some misbehaving devices. It can be found for £350. It has spdif, analogue, usb and bluetooth inputs. Balanced headphone and line...- jamiejmuk

Android DAP
Can anyone recommend an Android DAP? I do not care about analogue output as it would be connected to an ifi iDSD Neo. I don't care about memory as it would mostly be used for streaming. It must be able to run the LG ThinQ app, hence the need for Android.- jamiejmuk

Looking for a new sound setup for gaming and music
I have some some good DAC's (xDuoo xd-05 balanced and ifi iDSD neo), in that company the SoundblasterX G6 is fine. It certainly has enough power to drive my LCD-2's.- jamiejmuk

iFi hip dac or Fiio Q3? (Portable amp/dac for iPhone)
Plus 1 for the DH80S. I have not had any issues with the quality of the switches. No "ticking" problems with the DH80S streaming Amazon Music HD. I've been using LCD-2 Closed, LCD-XC, Shure 846 and Shure 535 with the DH80S with no complaints about the capability to drive the LCD-2's nor the...- jamiejmuk

Audeze LCD-4z and static when touching the cups...
I have a similar problem with LCD-XC's (but not LCD-2) but it depends on the DAC / power source. If I am using a DAC that is powered from its internal battery (xd-05) or USB powered (xd-05, ifi iDSD neo) from my phone or laptop then no problem. If I am using a dac that has external power (xd-05...- jamiejmuk

Suggestions for a new DAC
I've just got a Hidizs DH80S that is impressing me. I have Audeze LCD-2C closed, LCD-XC, Shure 846, Shure 535 for my ears and ifi iDSD neo, xDuoo xd-05, fiio btr5 and Earstudio ES100 dacs. The DH80S sonically fits in just above the btr5. The battery life driving the LCD-XC's is over 8 hours. I...- jamiejmuk

Headphones with Mic
I looked at the Burston Play 2 when I was considering the Schiit, Mayflower and Scarlett 2i2 but having just bought an iFi Neo iDSD I had to rule it out on price grounds. I can see why there are not many options that mix hi-fi audio out with mic input. The gaming Dacs are less focused on...- jamiejmuk

Looking for a closed full size set for classical, and another for trance music under 200 (each)
Instead of spending 400 on two pairs of headphones get yourself a USB DAC (something like an ifi zen dac) and one set of headphones Fostex T60RP should work for trance and classics. A balanced cable is an option for the T60RP's to take full advantage of the DAC- jamiejmuk

Headphones with Mic

Requesting Recommendation - Closed Back Headphones
I have LCD-2 closed and LCD-XC (wood cup - not 2021 revision). The XC is, in my opinion very punchy, 2's slightly lazy in comparison to the XC's but what would any one expect at 1/2 the price. There is no lack of bass for the 2-closed or the XC. I would say the XC is noticeably more...- jamiejmuk

Looking for a new sound setup for gaming and music
The Schiit Hel always seems to be sold out, but I have heard good reports about Mayflower Audio Arc Mk2. I use a SoundblasterX G6 (along with Audeze LCD-XC + GX boom mic) for gaming, the audio is "fine" but the soundblaster does have the gaming related signal processing, a CTIA headset (4-pole...- jamiejmuk

Straight / soft mmcx cable
Does anyone have any suggestion for a readily available in the UK mmcx cable for classic (outer) ear phones. Best earbuds for streaming (Netflix, etc?)
I regularly use Shure 425's for Netflix. My most common set-up is: Netflix app on LG OLED CX Tv with audio hand off over WIFI to the LG ThinQ app on Galaxy S21 using a USB connection to xDuoo XD-05 Balanced with a 4.4mm balanced cable to Shure SE 425, snugs tips. I also use Shure 535's and...- jamiejmuk
