HiBy RS2: dual card slots, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 8x--news and impressions thread
The other day I saw someone post the RS2 with an album art lock screen. I never knew that was an option. Where is that in the settings?- AlexxxAA85

Reddit and YouTube are going crazy for the Dusk 2. I'm over here giving the original a 2nd chance and enjoying them. 3 years ago I didn't have a nice collection of tips or a nice source, so it was uncomfortable and did not sound great to me. But now its quite enjoyable. The mids are a tiny bit...- AlexxxAA85

Yes the comfort is amazing. I used the FH3 and FHE in my metal shop for a few years daily with the Fiio LC-BT2. It was great for drowning out the loud machines while still enjoying music or podcasts. I enjoy the sound overall, but you are right, there are a few instances where it can be a little...- AlexxxAA85

Haven't tried the Pico. But I love my B4-X. If it's anything like it, then it must rock hard!- AlexxxAA85

I just recently started using the app on the phone. I always used UAPP and Pulsar. But the UI in those is so cluttered now. I've been interested in a Sony DAP and the nice UI they have. I remembered I had my Xperia sitting around and decided to try the stock app and it rocks lol- AlexxxAA85

It is the stock music app on the Sony phone. I think in the Google Play Store, the Sony Music Center is the same.- AlexxxAA85

I haven't tried the Z1R but I've read that it has amazing technicalities and soundstage even if it is also older. And it might be cheaper to get used nowadays also.- AlexxxAA85

I own the Glacier and it is my current favorite IEM. I'll try to compare these later today. But I already know the Glacier is a whole other beast having 9 drivers per side, which includes 4EST. The soundstage on the Glacier is epic.- AlexxxAA85

Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
Oh no it works fine. Just just that you can tell there is a small layer of dirt attached to certain parts of the M9. Mostly in crevices and corners around the nozzle. But it sounds great. My main concern was the exposed foam and if it was easy to replace/clean. I will try my best not to mess...- AlexxxAA85

Thanks for all the responses! I will try to get a macro shot of the foam to show you guys. My M9 is a used set and you can tell. For now I'll try to poke the foam and see if it doesn't disintegrate lol I usually like using wide bore tips in order to get all the sound through without blocking...- AlexxxAA85

Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
Hello everyone! Today is my first day experiencing the M9! I have yet to sit down and listen carefully and compare to other heavy hitters. But I noticed that the M9 has foam in the nozzle. Is it easy to remove and clean the foam? I'm afraid that from age the foam can disintegrate! That happened...- AlexxxAA85

Yes! The FH3 is so good after all these years. So detailed for the price. I went with the FHE version and it rocks hard! Still all the detail but with the elevated (yet tasteful) bass - AlexxxAA85

Decided to start using my Sony phone as a DAP like when I had a V60. I was thinking about maybe getting a Hiby FC6 since I love the R2R sound. But I decided to try the M4 even though the units have some errors in the fabrication (the 2.5 jack has the L-R channels reversed, and the charging port...- AlexxxAA85

In wonderful condition. Curiously marked "Prototype" which makes them kind of unique I guess? Comes with everything shown. The cable is terminated 3.5mm and shows a little dark coloring in some parts which I'm guessing might be oxidation? I always used other cables and tips with it. Any MMCX...- AlexxxAA85
