I briefly tested JPlay with A6 Master and to my ears Tidal from the Eversolo app sounded better than from the JPlay and better than Tidal Connect from MacOs. Do you use Tidal? Did you test the Eversolo app with Tidal?

When I swap USB with Optical/Toslink I hear better colors/timbre but reduced impact and dynamics. I would love to have both.

Same experience here - those masterings have very good dynamics but too harsh highs. Some voices are "sybilant" - eg. with artificially accented "s" sounds. It makes it unpleasant to listen for longer periods.

I like it a lot. Much better than Hugo2 stock toslink. Also, better than Curious, Supra or AQ Cinnamon USBs. Max transmission rate is 172kHz, not 192. But IMO it doesn't matter. It has black background, precise positioning. More lows in terms of quantity. Mids are nice. Highs are clear but not...
