    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Sooooo I've had my M100's for a just over a year now. Still love them. All the talk about cracks made me check and I havent had one yet. They still look fantastic.    I got the white and changed the shields to red. I wear mine while lifting weights working out so they actually get banged...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I'll go on a limb and recommend you at least look into the Mad Dogs ....    No they're not as good looking as the M100's (not in the same stratosphere) but .... the sound is probably more of what you're looking for in an HP. Closed, great isolation, super comfortable, silky smooth vocals and...

OK I strongly disagree with you.    No manufacturer is under ANY obligation to tell you about anything that is coming out when you make a purchase. There's nothing unethical about what's happened here.

The MD 3.2 sound awesome to me Pro or not. No matter what next version comes out, the current sound of my headphones is not going to change. When I bought them I was hoping to get some really great sounding headphones, and you know what ? I got even better.   My advice is you focus your energy...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

They definitely sound better on break in. Which, if I recall correctly, didnt seem to take very long.    Also, I had success relieving some of the clamping pressure by bending the headband out straight and even past 180 degrees. Dont worry, it goes back into shape (especially when you put...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

The cool thing is, that there is room for both ways of thinking. I personally have the Mad Dogs, and when amp'd properly, they are far better than my V-moda's. The bass is strong, the trebles super silky smooth. Its a beautiful sound BUT .... there is NO WAY on God's green earth, I will walk...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I understand where you're coming from and mostly agree ... But this is human nature we're talking about. Fact is most people want to be better, know more and have greater than others. That happens to manifest itself in our hobby. You can rest easy in knowing that the same people we belittle...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I will say, the M100's are awesome in terms of their efficiency as well. I bought the ALO National to push my Mad Dogs and was really disappointed. Simply didnt have enough power for them. When I used it to push my M100's they sounded AMAZING. Everything was that much clearer. The bass was...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

It appears to be available on the Amazon UK site. It costs more just because its coming from the UK but its definitely better than the OEM V-moda cable in my opinion. I was one of the lucky ones who got it for a steal before they ran out in the US.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I listened to the ATH-WS9 and if you needed to use a bass reducer on that, then you'll need to on the M100's for sure. At that point, you probably should go another (cheaper) route. I personally love the M100 sound and I think its a great overall HP but there's no denying its bass presence...

Mr. Speakers Mad Dog 3.0 - 3.2 Amp Pairing Recommendation/Discussion Thread

I've never heard the digizoid and can't recall anyone mentioning it with the MD's. Generally speaking I would say some of the smaller amps do a little something for the mad dogs but the more powerful ones tend to perform better. That said there are some folks who can hear the very subtle...

Mr. Speakers Mad Dog 3.0 - 3.2 Amp Pairing Recommendation/Discussion Thread

I'm not sure about the Dzero. I know the PB2 has been recommended by several members. At that price range I personally would recommend the FiiO E12. It's got more than enough power to push the mad dogs or any other full-size hard to drive can.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Definitely bend the headband out until it's straight. Don't worry, you won't break it.... Do that for several days and you'll get them broken in. At first mine were slightly uncomfortable and now I can easily wear them all day. I ended up switching back to the regular pads although the XL pads...

**MrSpeakers Mad Dog: Impressions and Discussion Thread**

They are pretty awesome indeed .... I dont seem to remember much if any change on burn in. From my recollection they are pretty much 'as is' straight from the box.

They are VERY good at isolating. In my opinion the Alpha pads are some of the best around at doing that, along with being extremely comfortable.

@miceblue - I agree 100%. I have the white pads as well and they are slightly stiffer than the stock grey pads that come with the M100's.    @gallien There are also some grey XL pads that could work for you if you absolutely had to have the XL version.

^^^^ Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Mad Dog family !!   I think you made a great decision. You'll find that the MD's are truly gifted in how you can play with them and add power to get a really rich full sound in a closed, isolated, comfortable headphone.    When you do...
