Sennheiser HD 558 mods.
Hello all, I was just curious if you guys knew of any mods I could perform to make my senny's sound better! I already performed the foam mod, which actually did a drastic job at improving the sound; well, not improving. It just sounds different now in a way that I like. I was wondering if it'd...- MatthewMellini

SoundMAGIC HP100/HP150 Review and Impressions Thread
Quote: You have rather exceptional taste in music. Actually, I'd say you and I have extremely similar tastes, the only thing I'm not necessarily fond of would be classical music. Would you recommend the HP100's for music as heavy as Suicide Silence and as soft as The XX as an all-rounder...- MatthewMellini

Closed Headphones for $300 or under
1) Yep! Portable and at home as well. 2)Neutral bass is cool, I don't listen to anything like rap, electronic, dubstep, etc. And a nice thumpin' bass is cool too, as long as it doesn't completely drown out the rest of the frequencies like a lot of other cans. As long as it's audible and...- MatthewMellini

Closed Headphones for $300 or under
Title almost kind of says it all. I need a closed headphone for $300 dollars or under. I'm considering the Sony mdr-1r for a multitude of reasons. I have large ears so i'm pretty positive they'll be the most comfortable for me, and they're a pretty sexy headphone too(Brown and Silver.) The only...- MatthewMellini

Sennheiser HD 558 + FiiO E07k
Well I definitely want to buy the 598s for many reasons. They look better(A whole lot better) and definitely do sound better. The only reason I don't purchase them is because it's a little out of the budget! I'm probably going to just do the foam mod on the 558s so they'll sound a little bit...- MatthewMellini

Sennheiser HD 558 + FiiO E07k
I'm pretty dead set on purchasing a pair of HD 558's and the E07k. Before I make the final purchase though, I just want some opinions on whether or not it would be a good combination. Any feedback is appreciated!- MatthewMellini
