Burson's sexy flagship: Burson Soloist Voyager. Pure Pure Class-A, 10Watts fully balanced
Hi Peder 29! I see you also tried running Soloist Voyager with RCA unbalanced source. Have you also tried running it with unbalanced RCA source BUT with balanced headphones connected to 4 pin XLR headphone output of Voyager? If yes, how the sound compares to all the way balanced (with XLR...- gorgorsan

Burson's sexy flagship: Burson Soloist Voyager. Pure Pure Class-A, 10Watts fully balanced
Hi, Vangelis! Thanks for the comparisons. Since I only have unbalanced source (Marantz SA-KI Ruby CD/SACD Player), I wonder if Soloist Voyager also performs so well if fed by RCA unbalanced source. Have you also tried running it with unbalanced source but with balanced headphones (mine will be...- gorgorsan

Meze EMPYREAN II
Yes I would like to know that too. Do they really have that low sensitivity of only 90db at 1mW/1kHz or is 105 dB SPL at 1 kHz, 1V on their web site a typo and they meant 105 dB SPL at 1mW and not at 1 Volt?- gorgorsan

MEZE 109 Pro vs Liric vs Empyrean vs QUAD ERA-1 vs HIFIMAN Arya Organic vs HE1000SE
Hi! Which one would you choose and why? I listen to mostly metal and rock but also ambient atmospheric and classical sometimes. A lot of metal has low tuned guitars so will need good bass extension and speed. Thanks!- gorgorsan

Listening to HIFIMAN HE6se at lower volume
Hi, infoseeker! Thank you so much for all the info and instructions : ) So even at low volume the bass will be heard just fine? Also, when you said: You'll need a pre-amp that has alot of volume steps to fine control things. It is integrated amp with 37dB of gain. I hope that is not too much and...- gorgorsan

Listening to HIFIMAN HE6se at lower volume
Hi! I plan to drive them with my Simaudio solid state speaker amp (100W at 8 Ohms). Since they are hard to drive headphones does this also mean I have to listen to them more loudly to get them to sound great? I usually listen to headphones at low to moderate levels, never loud. Also, what is the...- gorgorsan

iFi iCAN Phantom vs STAX amplifiers
Hi, please someone let me know, for STAX headphones, if it is best to go with a dedicated STAX amp for example SRM-700S or iFi iCAN Phantom will be just as good? Do both use transformers to create the very high signal voltages for the electrostatic headphones or only iFi iCAN Phantom use them? I...- gorgorsan

HIFIMAN Arya Organic info
Hi guys! Please someone let me know if Arya Organic are themselves balanced headphones and can therefore benefit from cable upgrade (from unbalanced 1/4 jack stock one to XLR 4 pin one/on amp termination end)?
