Great initial impressions and gorgeous photos as ever @tone.texture.soul ! Agree: amazing that LP has managed to reproduce the kind of magic we love in the DMP in such a compact little package. The E7 is indeed very much complementary to the R2R DAPs in the LP stable. :)

What I really do enjoy about the E7 is that it has all the technical performance of an AKM chip but without the digital glare. I think it is difficult to understand this if one is not used to R2R portrayal of music and have not been exposed such smooth and organic presentation. :)

Great thing about the charging is that it is really quick vs the LP6 :)

Indeed. Whilst I do appreciate HD for some kind of music like live performances and classical music, the only issue for me is that it is a bit forward and can be overwhelming for some types of genre like acoustic. :)

Yeah… the LD tuning was not as always like that. The FW whereby the team leveraged on the FPGA for the LD tuning has really lifted the LD Tuning. It was not always so lovable. :)

Yeah… having already heard one E7 as it burns in, I will say that it will open up and smoothen out as it burns in. In fact, the 3 tunings will appeal to you at different stages of burn in. ;)

It has been a while since I have take the Tremolo out for a spin. Still sounds as lovely as ever. Running it today off the Luxury & Precision LP6 Platinum Japan Edition, streaming out the Shanling M9+ via the Luxury & Precision WY1, while charging at the same time. :)

Just sharing some photos of the LP6 Platinum JP Edition. There were only 20 issued for the Japanese market and tuned specifically for ACG. The lacquered wood used was different as well. Similarly for the matching leather case. Because it is a JP Edition, the UI is in Japanese only. :)
