    Earbuds Round-Up

In my experience, it's not exactly a rare occurrence. I have multiple older pairs like the Shozy Cygnus and VE Zen 1 that show varying degrees of turning green.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Went ahead and ordered these. Been awhile since I've used Penon and considering the offer, it feels like a good choice.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Is there a second earbud going by Poseidon now, or did K's rename at some point? The original are TOTL earbuds that were around $500USD or so with silver shells and MMCX. Beautiful earbuds with a lovely sound.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Been a long time since I've really been around here. Any recommendations for a budget bassy earbud? Difficulty to drive is no issue.

FiiO Earbuds Discussion & Impressions Thread

It's most certainly been awhile since I've been around, and I'm glad to see Fiio has been making a push in this direction. When I saw the EM5 at a reasonable price I decided why not, which lead to me noticing these as well. Maybe I should try the FF3/5. As a long time earbud lover, I'm always...

Rose has a new earbud coming out? Might be time to buy a new earbud to try out after all this time

@Danneq @golov17 Good to see you both. Now I'm curious about the C Major.

[FiiO EM5] Beryllium-coated Dynamic Driver Earbuds

I would feel a little more comfortable if the cable was detachable, especially given the modular nature of this cable. Assuming a decent warranty, I'm more curious about the sound as that would ultimately be the deciding factor for me.

[FiiO EM5] Beryllium-coated Dynamic Driver Earbuds

Hmm, I'm quite curious myself, and there are certainly more expensive earbuds than $300, although only a handful.

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Sadly I have never gotten the chance to try the SZ2K, but everything else I've tried with the micro BL has sounded wonderful. Certainly handles the ZMF Ori wonderfully, loving the bass on that combo.

I often to right red left blue for buds. I think the only notable exception is white right left grey for Poseidon

The Walnut has the same issue, as I have the Purpleheart version of it. Also, my Wicked Cushions showed up and that certainly improved comfort a bit for the M100. The stock cushions almost felt like I wasn't getting a proper seal but that feeling is gone. The bass is lovely!

    Earbuds Round-Up

It's good to see that the Turandot is doing so well lately as far as recommendations. I wouldn't mind giving it a try one day, but with everything I have it'd most likely end up being redundant.

Hmm, any idea how much the HA-SD7 goes for in Japan? Curious how bad the markup is to get it to the US.

    Blur Earbuds Lovers

Well, my pair of Blur seem to be having an issue at the jack. Shame as they have relatively low hours.

    Earbuds Round-Up

K's Poseidon, although if I had stopped before then, I would have been very happy with either CampFred 1 or 2, Mojito, or a few others.

    Earbuds Round-Up

@prionsarebad I'd recommend taking your time working your way up. Your best values are always going to be early on, with the best compromise between cost and quality probably around $100 USD give or take. I'd probably recommend getting three starter earbuds to anyone new to this format. A...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

@Malevolent Seeing those pillows made me drag out my old XB500. It's been too long since I've really considered going after a basshead can, so decided to buy a used pair of V-Moda M100. From there I can decide if I want to go further or be happy with what I have.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Personally, in retrospect looking at various high end earbuds I've owned, the lack of detachable cable in most cases has not been a con. Detachable only would have limited the options for some truly amazing earbuds like the CampFreds for example. The cable failures I've had all ended up being...

    Absolute best budget earbuds?

@mbwilson111 I wasn't aware. I've been gone for quite some time taking a break. I'm sorry for your loss. He's a great person. Of course you didn't fail him, it was beyond your control.

    Absolute best budget earbuds?

I'd argue this thread still serves a purpose, as it could be a useful source of information for budget earbuds. At times there has been a tendency for people to recommend on the other earbud thread higher priced, sometimes quite so, earbuds than are being requested. Plus, as there are...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

I really feel I should remind people, never count on a crowd funded purchase to go 100% smoothly. It doesn't matter who'd running it, there will always be little hiccups along the way that hold things up. So... don't even consider a release day until they actually get shipped. That way you...

I need to get my walkman serviced, although I'd hate to think how annoying it might be to find someone who can do that nowadays.
