Bose Sues Beats for Patent Infringement
I'm by no means a patent expert, but my understanding of the way the protection works is competitors have to find a new way to achieve the same results in order for it to not break a patent. I don't think small tweaks would pass as a new method. That's just my understanding, and it might not be...- Failuyr

Bose Sues Beats for Patent Infringement
This doesn't sound like a patent-troll. ANC takes legitimate implementation to work properly, and if the design was copied (which I am not able to judge, but I'll give Bose the benefit of the doubt) then I can see this as a proper use of the patent system. The purpose of a patent is to give the...- Failuyr

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
So the MDR-7550 is slotted above the MDR-EX1000? I was always under the impression it was the other way around (albeit that was due to price). I listen to a lot of Metal, Alternative, and Rock. While I listen to other genres, those three (and subsequent sub-genres) have a special...- Failuyr

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
I figured this would be the best place to post. I tried a search of the thread and got a (translated) review that wasn't entirely thorough. I'm looking into getting a pair of Sony IEMs. I was set on MDR-EX1000 until I read the Summer Buyer's Guide where the XBA-H3s got praised quite well. Does...- Failuyr

Schiit Owners Unite
I know they do, I had to RMA part of my Magni/Modi stack (tbh don't remember which one) and they have some of the best support I've ever used. I'll continue buying Schiit because of how great of an experience I had. Thank you!- Failuyr

Best Studio Headphones
I mean I think it's very beneficial to list headphones of all price range that are good for it. It could help people save money or find a gem that they'll love. But I also think it's beneficial to have at least a reference as to how much each pair will cost so someone starting a budget-friendly...- Failuyr

Most comfortable Headset/Headphone ?!
I haven't looked at MadLust's stuff in a really long time, but it really surprises me that he says the 598's are clampy. I have Astro A40s, Sennheiser HD598, and V-Moda M100 and my Sennheiser's are easily the most comfortable and least-clampy of the three. I however hate them for gaming...- Failuyr

The hate on beats, why?
Steam has been on Mac OS for years. Since at least 2010. Just because there weren't games that caught your interest doesn't make the library of games unhealthy. There just aren't as many on Mac as on Windows. But as far as the lineup being overpriced, that was more in reply to the post a few...- Failuyr

The hate on beats, why?
Plenty of games work of Mac. Is it Windows? No, but people who are very casual can have a decent gaming experience. I have a friend who games on his Mac. He does a ton of graphic design and likes OS X, and he doesn't want to spend money on a gaming PC when he doesn't game a ton. The Mac...- Failuyr

The hate on beats, why?
I doubt it, Apple already knows the important of brand identity. Beats has a very strong identity as a brand (the "iconic" look, the name, and the sound stage) and it already makes a lot of money. I think Apple will sit on the brand identity but might improve the sound of the headphones (or so...- Failuyr

The actual cards I've found to be tough, but I've had issues with some of the micro connectors getting a little beat over (while I've never had that happen on a full size card) but that's purely anecdotal. But yeah, Lexar and PNY both offer 256gb SD cards. Imagine throwing two of those in a...- Failuyr

Right now the only brand with a 128gb is SanDisk (that I know of atleast) which means I doubt it'll drop soon because there is no need to undercut anyone. Whereas almost every memory company offers a 64gb card. It's too bad that full SD cards take up too much space. They're cheaper per gb...- Failuyr

Newegg has 64gb microSD cards from Adata, G.Skill, Patriot, and Team for all less than $35. Amazon has a 64gb Sandisk at $37. The G.Skill card is $29 and is Class10. I could get 4 for the price of a single 128gb card on either site.- Failuyr
