Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Sound Quality
Samsung tends to limit the volume level on their phones either to prevent ear damage (read lawsuits) or to preserve life battery (read higher specs). Remember Galaxy S1 and the voodoo tweak? You will probably have to flash a custom kernel on your note to get decent volume. Or get an HTC phone.- Peyotero

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)
My better half pulled out with force the right earphone while i was listening to them. The cable has left in her hand and the earpiece stayed in my ear. Now the right connector is more loose compared to the left one and sometimes gets disconnected with minimal force, to a point where I I fear...- Peyotero

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)
Hahah i feel dirty. I usually don't lie. So, I was wondering, my portable source will be the clip+ but I feel it won't do the woodies justice. I was thinking HTC M8/Galaxy S5/ or one of the iBasso/Fiio variants. Any thoughts?- Peyotero

Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 (Exynos version with Wolfson)
You can raise the volume by modifying default_gain.conf in system/etc http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274033 the s4 9500 sounds superpb and has plenty of juice. Still haven't had the chance to compare it to the voodoo'd galaxy s1. I want I the s4 to be better :)- Peyotero

Wolfson DAC confirmed for Galaxy S3!
I prefer the voddoo'd SGS over my clip by far, simply for the strong amp the SGS has. Drives my AKG K240 S like it's nothing while they are barely audible with the clip. There's only one situation where i'de pick the clip over the SGS and that's when jogging. Don't ask me to compare both...- Peyotero

Don't pull a trigger on an amp yet. Wait for the ICS source to be released and maybe then you'll be able to go the DAC/AMP route through USB.- Peyotero

Whats GOOD about In-Ear Earbuds
Stealthy in public. Can go to sleep wearing them. Very often are more detailed then full size cans. Isolation.- Peyotero

Samsung galaxy S2 vs IPhone 4
Quote: Uhh sorry. You'd need someone with both the iphone and gs1 + armature driver phones too clarify that... As for the more powerful output on the voodoo's gs1, yea I guess the main benefit goes to high impedance cans.- Peyotero

Samsung galaxy S2 vs IPhone 4
Doubt 8ohm will be "problematic" but the word around here is that lower is better for armature drivers. On the other side the SG1 will have a more powerful HP out vs IP4 for hard to drive cans almost diminishing the need for an amp on the go.- Peyotero

Samsung galaxy S2 vs IPhone 4
Ignore that graph regardless of voodoo. They used an outdated and flawed firmware. You ain't gonna see that bump shown on the graph for the SG1 with later frimwares. Should be flat even without voodoo. Can't comment on the cross talk but here's a link to an article which mentions...- Peyotero
