TBH, I've rolled in various NOS tubes, but I found a pair I like so I stick with those.

The 336 sounds good with the stock Chinese tubes, but it sounds even better with a nice set of NOS tubes. If you like it with the stock tubes, you'll love it with NOS tubes. I think the output impedance of the 336 is too high for the Q701 'phones.

I like my 1st gen FiiO X5 with my ATH-ESW9, a great pairing!

I used to own a pair of fake ATH-ESW10, very difficult to tell they were fakes by examining them, but the sound was very uninvolving, I hardly ever listened to them. I later got a pair of real ESW9, I use them all the time with my iPad.
