I've seen your posts around the forums many times (I'm a bit of a lurker), and your posts are always very interesting and informative. Thanks a lot for taking the time to post. $800 USD to Spend on AMP upgrade. Thoughts?!
Hey guys! Current Setup: Odac -> Little Dot MKIII -> Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohms I've recently purchased some Audeze LCD2s and I gather it's time to upgrade my amp (+dac?) to suit. Ideally I'd like to own an amp/dac combo that sufficiently runs both my DT880s and LCD2s without having to...- MonolithNZ

Most underrated and overrated headphone? For a bit of fun :)
I like the Jmoney pads so much that I actually bought two sets. I live in New Zealand and it was very difficult for me to locate some. Jmoney ceased to exist as a company some time ago and the ear pads are no longer in production. My first pair were purchased from a fellow New Zealander for...- MonolithNZ

Most underrated and overrated headphone? For a bit of fun :)
I first ran my 600ohm DT880s through Fiio E7/E9 combo and although I was impressed with the treble and mids, the cans simply sounded too shrill and I had a hard time enjoying them. From there I moved on to a MKIII tube amp and I was thoroughly impressed with how much warmer and full sounding the...- MonolithNZ

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I have just purchased my first set of Audeze LCD2s from the buy sell section of the forums. For now I'll be listening to them through PC -> Odac -> Little Dot MKIII tube amp. I think that setup will be adequate for now. If I really enjoy the cans I'll think about purchasing a lyr or something...- MonolithNZ

DAC Recommendations for Little Dot MKIII and DT880s
Hey guys. I hope this is the right sub section. I've just pulled the trigger on a second 7970 graphics card which means that my Xonar STX soundcard will have to go. Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling
Heya. I'm 100% sure that I have a version 4. My circuit board says Jumpers off for ef95 family. I removed the jumpers (They were on @ manufacture) and installed my new tubes. They sound great. Does that make sense? I hope that I have the correct jumper settings. Thanks.- MonolithNZ

Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling
Hey guys. I've been wanting to tube roll my MKIII for quite a while so today I took the jump and bought a matched pair of "Tung-Sol JTL-6AJ5/6ak5/6J1/EF95" tubes from ebay. I've had a look at my circuit board and it appears to be a Version 4. Are these tubes suitable for that version? I'm not...- MonolithNZ

The Xonar Essence STX Q/A, tweaking, impressions thread
Hey guys. I currently have the STX RCA outputs connected to my Little Dot MKIII. I'd like to permanently leave my AD700s plugged into the headphone out, so that I can utilize dolby headphone when I'm gaming. What is the best method for easily switching between RCA/headphone out without having to...- MonolithNZ

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Hey there guys. I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I've been enjoying my music through a set of felt modded JVC RX700's for over a year now, and I've decided to make the jump to some 600ohm DT880's. The RX700's have served me really well for my first pair of cans, but I've been...- MonolithNZ
