Newcomer Question: DSP cables for IEM?

I didn't realize! :scream: I couldn't imagine that components like caps, resistors, inductors, ports, and more could exist in micro size and used in tiny IEM's, which would make use of a firmware update problematic. My naive hopes have been crushed. Thanks to all for sharing such useful...

Newcomer Question: DSP cables for IEM?

Well, I definitely do not understand how it works. I was visualizing a headphone with a pre-programmed frequency response curve from the manufacturer that could be modified using an app on your cellphone, tablet, or computer. You would then upload the modified response curve to the headphone...

Newcomer Question: DSP cables for IEM?

Thanks much for your advice. I have much to learn in the headgear audio niche and this forum seems to have plenty of good folks with helpful knowledge. I can and have used VST in Audirvana but it only works with USB and not with the Network Bridge which uses DLNA.

Newcomer Question: DSP cables for IEM?

I’ve been a “high-end” audio person for a couple of decades and have only recently gotten turned on to headphones after being urged to try them by friends, so I acquired a set of Hifiman HE1000SE planer magnetics. Now I’m getting excited about IEM’s, and heard about the Moondrop Dusk and read...

    Audiophile Ninja cables?

I'm not a newbie to the high-end and using pricey cables including $1500+ speaker wire from Iconoclast, but price doesn't always correspond to quality. The Hifiman HE1000SE represents my first plunge into serious high-end headphones. They are front-ended by Audirvana feeding a dCS Network Bridge...

    Audiophile Ninja cables?

I just received my order for my Hifman HE1000SE cable replacement. I believe in thorough cable break-in period, but I had to listen to my new Ninja immediately even though I knew they were likely to sound a bit raw and lacking in solid bass. But I was wrong. I am shocked at how much better Ninja...

    What's a fair price for used HD650?

Forgive me if this is an unreasonable question. I have a virtually new pair of HD650 that I'd like to sell, and was wondering what a fair price would be? I was hoping for $300. I saw quite a few listed in the For Sale Forum, but they were all sold, and the price no longer displayed. Thanks for...

LCD-2 + (Schitt Lyr vs. Headroom Balanced)

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to comment on the Lyr.   After reading the limited number of reviews and comments on the web about the Lyr, I began communicating with Jason Stoddard of Lyr.  I was a little worried that I was being a bit of a pain with all my questions, but...
