possible? --- Shure SRH-840 drivers in a Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
If the drivers match in diameter, then it would be somewhat possible to transplant the driver, but you can be sure that sound will change. Sometimes modding the same headphone will make drastic changes, taking a driver to another enclosure might change completely the sound. You would need to...- KevinWolf

AKG new N90Q
Compensated as in they take the average ear response and use it as reference, so a flat line on the graph would be more or less the same as it would be for a speaker response.- KevinWolf

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
I agree with having a nicer experience with more expensive gadgets but I think that it's fine if it makes a compromise to make another area way better than the competition. I just don't need fancy unboxing and lots of accessories, just a nice headphone, one that I can wear without problems...- KevinWolf

Seems perfect. Was looking at the Focal Spirit Pro but the headband cracking scares me enough to avoid it plus I wanted something more on the top tier side.- KevinWolf

Reviews + impressions thread: Final Audio Design Pandora Hope VI (interesting dynamic + BA full size headphones)
Had been reading the thread (still didn't went through all pages reading it all slowly), I'm still confused, is it v-shaped or balanced/flat-ish? Seems like a hit for the price and I'm looking for a top tier closed hp (or near top tier, but it seems there aren't many flat sounding options :/ )- KevinWolf

So it seems I'm still stuck with the ck100pro as an option (or top-tiers, but they are too expensive :( ).- KevinWolf

[Review] CK100PRO Unboxing & Impressions (+ a retrospective journey with Audio-technica and versus CK100)
The IM03 has the same level of detail? I always thought about the ck100pro being my most obvious option to upgrade, just the weird shape (that should result on a finicky fit) keeps me from upgrading.- KevinWolf

Portable Bluetooth Speakers?
I would find the UE Mini Boom interesting only when getting two, for proper stereo (dual streaming). The UE Boom is pretty good and the Pulse isn't that great, very harsh highs. For now I own the Sony BTX300, great for the price IMO.- KevinWolf

Maybe this can help on testing different tones: http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/jw/hearing.html Try at least on the -45dB range, then go up if it's too low.- KevinWolf

Upgrading from Audio Technica CK-10
Quote: If I'm not wrong, the Note II features the same Wolfson chip used on the S3, it has a very nice sound, but you need a specific kernel to enjoy those advantages. Unfortunately I don't have an iPod to compare.- KevinWolf

Upgrading from Audio Technica CK-10
I still never read about a fake ATH-CK100 Pro. And thought the CK-10 was a popular choice, Joker reviewed them and at the time (of the review) they got a solid 10/10. The Ck-100 Pro is quite underrated I think. I guess they just didn't got too much attention at the launch, when they were sold...- KevinWolf

Upgrading from Audio Technica CK-10
The CK-100 Pro looks awkward but should be a nice upgrade and can be found for a good price on ebay. There's a review here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/585007/review-ck100pro-unboxing-impressions-a-retrospective-journey-with-audio-technica-and-versus-ck100- KevinWolf

The diary entries of a little girl in her 30s! ~ Part 2
Quote: You should only bother with lenses if you pretend to take photography a bit more serious, the RX100II have an amazing value, good, sharp lens, really nice sensor and a very compact body. For this sensor size you shouldn't expect a shallow depth of field, unless you're taking some...- KevinWolf
