I just tried the T50p last week and I have to say I agree with ThEvil0nE, I would prefer the HD25 and ES10 over these (haven't heard of others)...

Sennheiser hd25 have been recommended frequently for good sound without amp and good isolation. Or the Audio Technica ES10jpn, ES10 are pretty good too, I have the ES10 and love them, isolation isn't as good as the HD25s though.

I thought the Shure 840s were very nice, but a bit too bulky and heavy for me to be considered 'portable'.

I own a pair of ES10s and I love them. Was considering getting the HD25s for commuting but have decided there's no need. Love the ES10s too much.   Worth considering and I find them 'portable' enough.   my 2c James

Well from testing out the ES10 when i was at the shop, sound isolation wasn't its strongest point... so i'll test out the T50p and if its as good as the HD25-1 in terms of sound and isolation, then I might get it, mainly for travel and flights.   300 hours of burn in?? mmm..... ok..... looks...

The shop keeper said he had the T50p in the shop (from the distributor) last week... just for display for 2 days. Anyway he said it was very bass heavy and thought the ES10 was a much more balanced set. But he said he'll call me once the T50p comes in anyway so he could tempt me swiping that...

Rang the shop again... they still cannot confirm when the ES10 will be in store and so I asked about the T50p. So now my deposit is for whichever comes into the store first, they will reserve one for me to try and if I like it, I can buy it, if not, I can wait for ther other to come in...
