Hi,   I'm getting really close to pulling the trigger on a set of used LCD-2s and wanted to know if these would make them a plausible portable headphone. They'd be my amp/dac combo for at home use too. I would eventually buy a better combo for at home use, but I need a new pair of headphones...

I've had a pair of these sitting useless on a shelf for a year now because the audio from both channels cuts out unless i hold the cord at a very specific angle. If I recabled this would it fix the problem?   At first only the left channel would cut out and I could listen to them by hanging...
