STAX SR 507 EAR PAD PROBLEMS
These last couple of days have been spent removing that darned sticky tar adhesive from 3 pairs of lambdas. [old lambda pros and a 404] all 3 pairs had literally fallen apart, the ear pads sliding around and the transducers falling off the mounting plates. not forgetting all the foam having...- setmenu

Piracy? A thoughtful inquiry, at least I'd say so...

My letter to Sandisk Sansa - Praising them for 3 years of 99% stress free listening. I HOPE SANSA READS THIS!!!!
My Rockboxed clips drive my iems to more than high enough levels with most recordings. I do a lot of listening unamped but having amp to unload the output stage really makes a difference to the sound, a nice treat.- setmenu

Sansa Clip+ Impressions
I guess it depends on what sort of sound people like, as well as partnering equipment, but have never found the clips veiled. The plus is warmer than the V2. In the past I have done the PDCP+dac+amp thing and still use an amp on occasion with the clipV2. Maybe i am now just reveling in how...- setmenu

Addiction to EQ
Here is a fun thing you can do with an eq/dsp , try to trim things to achieve the apparent perceived effect of a 'trick' ic cable and see how similar you can get them. I did this with a passive eq a while back..- setmenu

Good sounding portable mp3 player, not clip+
Regarding the Clip + pitch error , it depends on how sensitive to pitch you are. It is not something that has consciously bothered me, though i would prefer 'perfect' technical specs. I believe a rockbox fixes this now, but not sure, i have lost track of all the mods going on with it...- setmenu

So.. $15 buys potentially 10000 albums. Sounds like quite a good deal. I am sure huge profit potential here will help the growth of the music industry/sellers quite nicely. .- setmenu

Quote: Yep, it's not overly stable at the mo, but you can always boot to the original firmware when you want reliability, hehe. It seems much more stable on the the clip V2 , I actually prefer the sound of the V2 it's the clip i use with my amp/ety setup. The plus does duty as my...- setmenu
