Theft of Orpheus at IFA 2015
The sad reality of such high-value thefts is that they are almost never "random" nowadays. And while I hope and wish that the O is returned unharmed, it probably is already on it's way to Russia, over the polish border, to it's new owner who ordered it from an organized criminal organizations...- m00hk00h

New Shure SRH1540 closed-back headphones?
Well, let's put it this way: I enjoyed the W1000x a lot more than the Shure. m00h- m00hk00h

New Shure SRH1540 closed-back headphones?
Quote: That is almost exactly how I feel about the Shure. Though I think the lack of treble is a consequence of the strange midrange. The band between 1KHz and 5KHz is kind of boosted compared to almost all other headphones. But since the volume of the "real" treble is in line with the...- m00hk00h

New Beyer DT1350
Just wanted to remind you that the bass strength considerably varies with the level of isolation you achieve. For me, the DT1350 definitely had more bass then any K701 I have ever heard with the best fit i could achieve. m00h- m00hk00h

If both sides are equally extended and you are having trouble then try it with different settings for left an right. Also try pushing against the headband when positioned on your head, in the direction of the side with lower pressure. Pressure is even between both earcups. That's physics. The...- m00hk00h

You should be OK. I had to extend the headband of the DT250 to the maximum for a review, my ears are "attached" pretty low on my head. But there is plenty of "headroom" (pun intended) with the DT1350. ;) m00h- m00hk00h

They don't even sound close to any Grado I have ever heard. Quote: The first time it's quite hard but after that it will move very smoothly. Just apply enough force, nothing to be afraid of. m00h- m00hk00h

New Beyer DT1350
Quote: It's not "missing". It's just not as much "in your face" as it is with the HD800 which is pronounced in the frequency area (making it sharp and harsh which is one of the main complaints I am reading about it). I also get the feeling that you don't really knot how much 25db are...- m00hk00h

Quote: Of these three the P5 is by far the darkest for me. It's almost "muffled". And the H800 does have that boosted "presence range" of 3-7KHz that you earlier doubted it has. So in direct comparison the magnitude of the difference seems a lot bigger than it really is. For me the...- m00hk00h

Quote: That is actually correct. If it's on the German market, I have probably heard it. Though Ionly review phones that I had at home for at least a week AND that I think are worth the time writing about in such an extend. If not reviewed, I just give a short impression in the...- m00hk00h

New Beyer DT1350
Quote: I'd say "easily". The HD25-1 used to be my number one portable phone for years before being replaced by the ANC7. The DT1350 is the better phone in almost any regard, from the true "high fidelity" point of view. Much more refined with a very, very high resolution and a balanced...- m00hk00h

New Beyer DT1350
Well I didn`t have any trouble using them. I found the sweet spot within seconds and the very tight and secure fit ensures that the headphone stay exactly there. I used them as a monitor for drumming just out of curiosity. No problem at at. The thing with the T50 was that it didn't have...- m00hk00h

Yes. Much better. But it's very dependent on the positioning. The headband needs to be split and positioned as much forward as it's possible. Hard to describe. I'll make an illustration for explanation later. m00h- m00hk00h

New Beyer DT1350
Quote: I have owned a HD25-1 for years and it was an OK-ish phone for portable use but not "good" overall. The DT1350 on the other hand is easily on the list of the best closed phones there are and probably the best on-ear headphone there is. And I have heard a lot of phones in my time...- m00hk00h

beyerdynamic introduces DTX 300 p foldable headphone
This little headphones gives the K518 from AKG a run for it's money when it comes down to the potential sound quality. Overall balanced sound with a slightly accentuated bass, nothing sticks out or is overly recessed. Unfortunately the construction of the headband and the missing vertical...- m00hk00h

New lower-end Denon headphones (AH-D301, AH-D501, AH-D1100) announced
Oh, that expensive? Then I recommend not to buy it. Got with the D1001, it's the better headphone in terms of sound quality. Not kidding. The D1100 has too much resonant base, dull mids and a peak in the heights. All in all overly warm and boomy. m00h- m00hk00h
