Nakamichi SP-7
That's what puzzles me, how can the "bass diffusing-back radiator" be separated and shoved back in without any loss? My guess is that it just catches air passively (but haphazardly?) & isn't bonded to the diaphragm in any (sensical) way.- devouringone3

probably a marketing mishap, DH-40 / HP-1000 (DH-57) has an obscure thing going for it under the hood, distancing mainstream dynamic design *I DON'T RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE, it is unwise to mess with sensitive gear: including a creased dome (face), a ring magnet (core), and a...- devouringone3

Driver can't be separated from ABS plastic support without its destroying (at least I don't think so). Magnum chambers are a discontinued product sorry; but yes hex-screws were for easy swapping.- devouringone3

It's plain 3M Scotch Tape. Same here, foam above all, for transparency and air. I tried masking, duct, electrical tapes.. stiffer = better, mimicking diaphragm compliance. SR-60i driver extraction is often about destroying the inner sleeves, as it is a two-parts construction, drivers being...- devouringone3

#gold #mine incredible footage thank you I bought many of these hot cakes, for transplant, Grado mod style. Stock the SP-7 is almost unwearable for me, and doesn't seal; maybe my head is too small, for drivers fire at 45 degrees. An option would be sawing the metal arc in two and overlapping to...- devouringone3

SP-7's poor fit affected sound fullness negatively. I came out about this headphone hoping people like you wppk or Grado modders like fleasbaby might do the silky smooth transducers justice.- devouringone3

EPA-007x headphone amplifier – Phasemation (Japan)
...the (sometimes shouty) vocals down and make songs more instrumental, providing much desired non-equalizer extension "Damp" dial, in the center *where there is no notch* achieves a somewhat 50~50 balance of [100~0] "soft" & "hard" [0~100] for a more authentic EPA-007 sound, and when gradually...- devouringone3
