Sony Xperia 1 Impression Thread
Here's a measurement of my xperia 1V. I can't say that the VI will sound the same, but my guess is that it is probably the same dac and amp, if not i would hope better. I'm not sure what the deal with the crosstalk is, I measured a few times to be sure it wasn't a glitch. Not the best. However...- luisdent

agreed. although i go up to 4db for the original er4s (should match er4sr closely). here is my ideal eq, aka what i would change... 6.5k +4db q1 5 70hz +6db q0.8 that just gives the bass the correct sub fill and adds the mid treble fix. but I'd even be happy with both of those values halved...- luisdent

hey Dave I haven't been on here in a while, glad to see you're still posting. I was wondering if you could answer a question that's always bugged me? I was listening to my ER4S last night, and as you probably know I own almost every etymotic earphone. while I like the new models as well, the...- luisdent

Sony Xperia 1 Impression Thread
512GB with no expansion wouldn't let me store anything on my phone. That's a dealbreaker for me. I have 500gb of music on my current phone and i take videos and photos. so that just isn't possible. If that works for someone that is a good option otherwise. i've read great things about that phone...- luisdent

Sony Xperia 1 Impression Thread
That's cool, and it might be awesome. I refuse to buy a phone with a cutout until there is no other option. lmao. To each their own, but that's me. There are no specs on the dac that i can find, but many reviews hear the same thing i do, that it is a high res, high quality player. I know that...- luisdent

Sony Xperia 1 Impression Thread
I can vouch that the audio is "top notch" in a "quality" sense. It is still a phone and the amplifier is not super powerful. Similar to other good audio headphone outputs on phones and mp3 players. But i wouldn't drive a demanding over ear headphone with only the 1V. It's ok with the hd600 for...- luisdent

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
if you don't recable them the cheapest way I have done it is to wrap a zip tie around the remote section and tighten it over the button make sure the biggest part of the zip tie is on the button so it presses it when tightened. you could put something between them if it helps ..- luisdent

Sony Xperia 1 Impression Thread
I measured my 1V with rmaa and found the results very good fairly similar to the walkman a105. The crosstalk was lower, but I'm not sure if it was a measuring glitch as I did a blind test with my a/b switch and the a105 and the channel separation was identical. In fact the audio sounded...- luisdent

i seriously think you build up ear calluses lmao. they don't bother me now nearly as much.a lot of it is how you insert them. and i think i put them deeper than most honestly... I've also used them practicing in a band as well as recording live music. they have the benefit of isolating enough...- luisdent

Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47
it's hard to say. i'm cautious with my hearing, and while i listen to things at what i consider reasonable levels, i never really push things too loudly. I'm sometimes literally shocked at how loud some people listen to music. If you prefer things louder than me that the hd600 wouldn't be good...- luisdent

Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47
my sony a45/a105 drive the 300ohm hd600 well enough for most music. no, not a lot of power, but the quality is decent and all but the quietest music can be played at average volumes... 50ohm? i think that is doable. the sonys have superb audio quality and i have run mine into my jds amps with...- luisdent

Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions
it went horribly. I just can't get a consistent amount of bass with each pinhole attempt. It works, but it's just way too varied so I gave up. there might be a better way. i was poking holes in the tips core.- luisdent
