    Cowon J3 Impressions Thread

...moment of terror this morning, around 4am, when getting ready to go the gym. As I always do ... I checked the power on my aged, slightly beat to **** Cowon J3 by turning it on briefly to observe the battery meter. Noting the meter almost empty, I powered off and plugged in the charging...

Comment by 's1rrah' in item 'KZ ZST'

I've had a pair for about a month ... using them with the Comply foam tips and man ... they are astonishing. I recently lost my Shure SE530's and honestly? It didn't hurt a bit as these are 90% of the Shures ... LOL at the $17.00 price tag. Man ...

    Cowon J3 Impressions Thread

My J3 just refuses to die; I guess this is a good thing. Such a great DAP. I honestly lose sleep thinking that it will one day fail (which it will) ... but man, what a DAP! Going strong for years. The side buttons. The GODLIKE battery life. The fact I can put a fat ass SD card in it? <sigh>...

My Comparison between Apple Earbuds - KZ ZS3 - KZ ZS5

..."suction" effect and I find myself constantly having to re seat them. With the Comply foam tips, though? Both the ATE's and the ZS3's become *completely* comfortable and the isolation/fit is ridiculously good. Everyone's physiology is different though, so grain of salt. Also, if you...

KZ ATE Comparisons for the undecided

...(the KZ supplied tips are garbage IMHO) ... and man am I impressed; compared to my go-to Shure SE535's? LOL ... the Shures sound, quite literally, *surgical* in comparison; ... but man are the KZ ATE's super fun; the Comply T500 isolation tips transform them into real killers man. Another...

    SE846 custom moulds

This is one option; I've heard good things about this company ... it's not like a *complete* custom mold but pretty much accomplishes the same thing without breaking your SE846's open ... https://store.sensaphonics.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SE846+Earphones+with+Sleeves ... Best of...

KZ ATE - any EQ settings/suggestions?

I use Shure SE535's for my more "critical" portable listening but recently made the whopping $13 investment in a set of KZ ATE's; boy are they some mighty fine budget IEMs! Anyway, I find them to be just a tad bit bloated/"woolen" in the bass region and have been messing around with very...

KZ-ATE - need aftermarket tip suggestions

Never mind. Duh. Simple google search solved the issue. Seems Comply makes foam tips specifically for the KZ's ... http://www.complyfoam.com/ate/

KZ-ATE - need aftermarket tip suggestions

Bought a pair of KZ-ATE IEM's off of Amazon for $14.00. As many have said, the performance/cost is unbelievable and I'm going to enjoy having the KZ's as backups to my Shure SE535's ... But the tips on the KZ-ATE's really suck in my opinion. The nozzle is particularly fat, I'd say 2 to 3...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

Still $60 at Monoprice ... having spent lots of time with them over the past few days? I'm thinking about buying a second pair ... LOL ... $60? No brainer if your in the market for a pair of ANC cans ...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

ANC is weird ... with the Bose QC35's ... the ANC is so strong that during silent moments, oddly, I literally feel like popping my ears ...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

They sound surprisingly good with ANC on or off ... much better than I expected having listened to the Bose QC35's all week ... but they sound even better with the ANC off ...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

Also, and this might be obvious to those of you who know more about active noise cancelling than myself ... but the Sonic Solace cans sound even better without ANC on ... is this the norm with ANC cans?

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

I got the black ones ... and that's another thing ... they are remarkably well built ... very solid and nothing "rickety" or cheap feeling about them ... the pads feel excellent and overall, pretty surprised at the build quality ... Was listening to some Brian Bromberg (jazz with lots of stand...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

Little update ... The Monoprice Sonic Solace came in today and I've had a quick listen ... 1. The noise cancelling is adequate for my simple and specific needs: watching TV/movies at night at my house; that's all I bought them for and I think the noise cancelling is going to be just fine...

Best bluetooth active noise cancelling cans for under $150.00???

...sort of flat sounding. I think the QC25's sounded better personally and had just about as good of noise cancellation. Also, I've used the old *wired* Bose Triports for years, strictly for movies and games ... and the sound quality of the old Tri Ports ... at least for those mentioned usage...
