Any modern headphones with ANC will work great on a plane. For sound quality, get the Bathys.

I use the Sennheiser BTD-600 to get Aptx on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Works great with the included USB C mini adapter. Lucky for me, my Ryan London case is open at the bottom.

Shocking that a brand new $450 pair of headphones does not support any new tech, not even WiFi like their speakers. Why? Unless I am in the Sonos environment, what makes these better than the Air Pod Max?

Yes, when connected using DAC (wired) the app can't see the phones. I would expect the last profile saved would be used unless Focus uses a direct mode with DAC mode,

I'm not sure if this answers your question but when I hook up my Focal Bathys via USB, it asks if I want to use the DAC on the headphones.

Do you have another way to test the DAC? Try hooking up to a computer or laptop, run Foobar, etc. At least you will know if it is the Bathys or the iPhone.

I use it all the time in DAC mode with the 15 Pro Max. The only time you would see the too much power message if you connected with a USB C adaptor but of course you are not. Are you using the supplied cable? Power should not be an issue, the work is all being done on the Bathys, (I'm pretty sure).

I apologize, I tried to go back to see what this was in reference to. What app are you using to produce those screenshots? What app plays DSD files like the Walkman?
