ACS Encore Studio New 5 Driver CIEM!
Interestingly enough, after having several pairs of Sensaphonics silicon customs, I never felt a difference in how I had to insert them into my ears. They just... fit. If the impressions are done well, and the monitors are made well, I don't recall ever having to do anything odd or different...- zb0430

ACS Encore Studio New 5 Driver CIEM!
I'm in the market for a silicon custom. I'm a professional musician/audio engineer, and I've had experience with more musician-oriented customs in the past. I've owned the Westone ES5 (my current monitors), Sensaphonics 2X-S, and Westone ES3x customs in the past few years. Anybody able to...- zb0430

Westone ES5
So, our puppy took a liking to my ES5's while I walked to the bathroom. When I came back, the left earpiece had the soft vinyl tip bit off, with a very inconspicuous looking puppy holding them in her paws. $200 repair charge for remolding one ear. Ouch.- zb0430

Westone ES5
I am continually impressed with the stereo separation and the clarity, yet lushness of the ES5 in the midrange. At first I believed I had a channel imbalance issue, thinking the left side was ever so slightly louder (maybe 1-2 dB, not perceptible by the majority of people) than the right...- zb0430

Westone ES5
I'll start digging through the posts more, but how does the iBasso D12 pair with the ES5, without OPamp rolling? I have little experience with portable headphone amps, but this one looks intriguing for use with the optical output of my MacBook Pro.- zb0430

Westone ES5
Quote: Hi cooperpwc, Unfortunately I don't have experience with the ACS T1. It was a contender for me in my decision to get a new pair or IEMs, but reviews steered me towards the ES5s. I am very curious as to how they stack up, though. Eventually I might want to get another pair...- zb0430

Westone ES5
After the beginnings of driver failure in my long-used Sensaphonics 2X-S, I splurged and got a set of ES5's, received them about 3 weeks ago. So far, so very good. But, I'm inclined to say this: the 2X-S is no slouch as a dual driver. That said, extension and depth seems to be greater than...- zb0430

[REVIEW] The ACS T1 - a tear jerker (but in a good way)
I'm really interested to see a comparison of the 2X-S, the 3MAX, and the ACS T1 v.2. I'm happy with my 2X-S for now, but I wonder how they stack up to these new silicon offerings. I'm glad to see silicon becoming more popular. The material is a must for me on stage. I've never had an acrylic...- zb0430

Sensaphonics introduces 3MAX triple-driver custom monitors
I love my 2X-S customs. Great fit, great material, great sound. I use them for casual listening, but more importantly when I'm in a live sound environment (guitars/vocals/FOH/monitors). They're greatly underrated around here by many. Looking forward to hearing about the 3MAX when a review is...- zb0430

Time to get a new Sensaphonic~
After having both revisions of the cable upgrade on my 2X-S, I can vouch that to these ears, there was no sound signature difference between the two. Your opinion may vary, as always, but I could not tell a difference. I have to thank you for your review of the Sensaphonics 2X-S way back...- zb0430

Sensaphonics introduces field-replaceable cables to 2XS, 2MAX
I was simply correcting your mis-spoken reference to the drivers as "dynamic" armatures. I didn't say that it dominated in bass output. I didn't say they were not balanced. I simply inferred that its lower frequency response (10 Hz vs. 20 Hz) and the increase in dedicated drivers would likely...- zb0430

Sensaphonics introduces field-replaceable cables to 2XS, 2MAX
They're balanced armature drivers. Two devoted to lows. The 2X-S has one devoted to that task. Impressions in the JH-13 appreciation thread seem to indicate the contrary of your stance on the JH-13's bass performance, though they speak fondly of the balance and neutrality of the phone. I wish...- zb0430
