New Gear For Sale/Trade and User Feedback Systems
I purchased some headphones from a seller here, and the sale took place on Sept. 10th. Due to some customs issues, I've only received the phones today. Now I can no longer post a reply on the archived feedback threads. Is it allowed to leave feedback using the new system, but...- wap32

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
I don't think that's true. IIRC, it was Lenovo that introduced widescreen ThinkPads, and the T60 (pictured above, I think) was manufactured by them, even though it still had the IBM sticker. In fact, you can make out the "lenovo" logo on gav007's picture, near the model number. Quote:- wap32

Petition: I would like the old site back (or other choice)
Meh, after a while I guess I'm getting used to the new platform. I still prefer the old forum, but I guess change was inevitable. If development remains active, and all the issues are sorted out, I guess this could become a better platform in the log run. I just wish that sidebar...- wap32

Post pics of your builds....
Quote: I guess the guy was really ripping off the design for profit, that's not cool. Quote: I just wanted to ask, what do you define as a clone? If I wanted to build a mini^3 for myself with a custom pcb, would that be considered fair use of your work? Or should...- wap32

Post pics of your builds....
Quote: That's quite an aggressive stance. I have the utmost respect for AMB's work and his contribution to the DIY community, but I don't think modifying a pcb layout for personal use can be called a rip-off. He's not making money of it and he's not hurting anyone. If...- wap32

Here's a complicated one: Linux + Wine + foobar2000 + USB DAC
Actually foobar2000 under wine can work pretty well, you can integrate it as the default player, use global shortcuts, etc. I've used it for a long time but now it seems audio on wine is borked on Fedora 12. Either way, this thread can be a lot of help, it's pretty much a step-by-step guide...- wap32

Fostex HP-A3 & HP-A7
So I stumbled upon these today, didn't find any threads about them so I thought I'd start one. HP-A3 (~400$/~297€) is bus powered, and has 24bit/96kHz USB and optical inputs, along with a head-amp, uses a 32-bit AKM AK4392 DAC. HP-A7 (~828/~602€) has 2x optical, coax(192kHz), USB and...- wap32
